Nevermind how much money you can throw at a studio like that, this level of detail and craftsmanship requires sooo much know how and skills. Unbelievable piece of art.
I’m skeptical about that. I think access to money and someone who can spend time researching and tweaking can do things like this.
@@Dannys.channelA blank check will get you so far if you don't give the project to the right people. Of course there are plenty of expert studio designers you can hire . But there are very few contractors that will be able to execute that level of detail properly. But of course you're right, you can pay someone to do that for you!
Tis a work of art! 💯% ✌
Right on, you can own all the studio gear in the world, if you don't know what you're doing it will come out sounding like krap. Go to Berklee or Full Sail and learn from the Pros!
@@SimonChampagne facts I’ve been talking with my dad immensely about building my studio and simply to bridge the gap between being an audio professional and a contractor to create a place that’s acoustically set nice takes time or an unforeseen amount of money(sometimes too much of both! lol)
brought my client here - its now his favorite studio. And we've worked in multiple top tier studios! Bunker 5 Nashville is incredible.
This guy is literally the most authentic, American Dream, person I’ve ever seen.. That studio is absolutely incredible. He must have worked extremely hard to get where he is…. Absolutely incredible studio and story he has…
it could also be money laundering. A studio like THIS could clean A LOT of money
Whatever he did to get a studio like this I’m down with it because it’s awesome. I can’t imagine how much this cost, definitely in the millions of dollars. I was a little skeptical when he said we didn’t want to have loans, but whatever it’s amazing!!!!
@@brianmclendon1647 whatever he did ? you dont care where the money came from ?
@@CFox.7why are you assuming he’s doing illegal stuff? Cause he’s not white? I know people without legal status owning business legally in the US after working their asses off for years, and I also know people that were born in the US and don’t have shit, that’s why they mad
@@CFox.7 what do you mean more precisely
So this is what it looks like when a master craftsman puts all his heart and know how into making something for himself 😍
Exactly. Amazing.
I don't know what I am most impressed with... his studio or his craftsmanship. From the design of the panels and the way he had them hung at slightly different placements, to the awesome keyboard tray at the island, to the... man, just everything. Having the apartment attachment is a game changer for his business and I hope to do something similar in the future. This is a top notch studio and is definitely one of the best tours on this channel, in my opinion. GREAT WORK!!!!! I had a great time watching it.
happy to see another lady in the music production space!
He wowed me what he said "we wanted to do this all from a debt free place."
I was lucky enough to be here recently- one of the best studios I've ever worked at! It's expertly designed, and sounds incredible and Edwin is just one the nicest guys- the real deal!!
I basically want to turn my house into one big studio. When we remodeled we turned the garage into a nice hardwood floor chill room that turned into my studio. I want to expand to just turn the whole house into a big sonic playground.
how much cost one session?
Dammit, I’m experiencing sensations of jealousy…
Must have been a really fun time working there.
An immigrant living his dreams.
God Bless you for sharing.
Awesome video Mann
Keep them coming
Yo, i had to pause this the moment to soak in the fact that he’s Salvadoran. My father was a Salvadoran immigrant and watching this makes me so proud to be a part of such an amazing people and culture!
I think I have unofficially entered the Guinness book for the longest jaw drop in the history of RUclips. Bro! 🤯😲
My mouth open for the entire tour!
Edwin seems like such a cool dude, chilled out and all. Him and his wife are some hard working geniuses!!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽This was flat out epic! I have to give it to you Andy, man you do such a phenomenal job with these tours! The way you carry yourself makes it a no brainer for the studio owners to welcome you! Shout out to the great man behind the camera, he deserves his props too! Keep it going... 🙌🏾👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
The studio is really cool. But the fact that he designed it and probably built a big part of it is awesome
The obvious satisfaction and pride in his voice when he describes the level of isolation and sound control that he built into the space is a joy to see. Master craftsmanship.
This is the best home studio there ever will be lol. This is incredible
Andrew, this studio is just insane just a amazing built and one the best I've seem in awhile OMG. this is a well thought out setup and lot of really good out board gear this a dream studio Great job!!!
It is so great to finally hear from a latin Engineer and his dream studio coming to life!!!! what a great studio!!!! Congratulations!!!! and thank you Andrew for supporting the latin talent in the us!!!!
Blown away! This it amazing, great job Bunker Five. Thanks, Andrew, for another great video.
Andrew, THIS…is…THE…studio!! I love this spot and the methodical layout. And the clean organization…Awesome! Much success to Bunker 5 Music!! Thank you for sharing, Andrew! We really appreciate you!
Amazing studio tour. This is definitely not a Home Studio. It is a Pro Studio in a home. Amazing job once again, Andrew. Thanks!
Hey Andrew, just a thought but maybe we could get some pictures in these videos of their old studio setups and see where they came from? Would be cool to see the evolution of their setups.
Everything here seems so well thought out to genius level, bordering on insane obessiveness. It's fascinating.
WOW, just incredible………all my favorite gear in one of the coolest rooms I have ever seen. Awesome Video my dude!!!!
Such a stunning craftsmanship, this IS the best studio I've virtually seen...and Edwin is such a humble and kind person. The perfect combination for great recording session! Unbelievable 👍😎✌
Very humble, blessed and knowledgeable studio owner. A very very impressive achievement.
I know it's overkill, but a well-crafted studio facility is like the perfect marriage of art and science, function and imagination. I flat-out love it!
EPIC, to say the least... MAN O MAN this STUDIO manchon is HUGE! Cheers from Western Australia
Whole ‘nother level craftsmanship! This is my dream studio just for the acoustics…the gear is a bonus!
This is probably the nicest studio I´ve seen. It´s so clean and beautiful and the gear is insane.
As someone who enjoys building their own furniture, I love this. I want to build everything here right now.
I love everything about that tracking room, every last detail. What a beautiful house and studio, no wonder he’s walking about with that big smile hahah. Well done!
Bunker 5 Music, Respect, Respect and more Respect. I Love it, this is my ultimate dream. Only I'm in London, UK. But you've got me hooked! Carpentry & music/ studio my two passions.
So impressive! I am pretty blown away by this one!
You and me both!
Circling bck and stating this is a perfect studio for software developers..
The sound engineering mastery in this home exceeds anything I've ever seen.
For those you haven't subscribed yet, common' man? This channel deserves more subscribers! Let's go!
God - such a nerd 🤓…………in the best way you can think. So impressed….
Congratulations on both an awe-inspiring space as well as that working/philosophical credo - couldn't agree more!
(+1 for the Mothership - fully BURL over here!)
Cheers from Toronto!
There is so much love, hard work and craftsmanship in this Studio. It’s insane!
Irie one bro,and what country you living in?works to be done jah love
I've seen a lot of impressive home studio tours on this channel, but this one is TRULY amazing. I'm speechless.
You've covered so many great studios, most all with different vibes but damn, this place is pure state of the art, ART! Very impressed..Fantastico!
I want Edwin to build my house and studio. Dude obviously is a master at his crafts. Epic.
I thought I was reasonably accomplished until I saw this video. Now I'm googling the nearest bridge. Kidding aside, God bless this man (and his wife) - this is mightily impressive. Great job, amazing spirit!
This guy is impressive in every way. Wow! And the patience to do it all cash; so inspiring!
This is the bunker I want to be in!
Really needed the creative boost that these vids always give!
Holy smokes! This studio is beautiful! Sooooo many details were just top notch. Well done!
Stunning. Absolutely incredible attention to detail. And I love his America immigrant America story. I look forward to visiting. Congrats man.
This is by far the nicest home studio I’ve ever seen on this channel and that speaks volumes because their is a lot of nice studios on your channel.
THIS IS THE FREAKING BEST STUDIO TOUR THAT YOU EVER HAD IMHO. Liked!
This video made me happy. (Mind blown by the attention to detail)!
That’s the sickest of sick “home studios”. Many of the commercial facilities I have worked in haven’t been nearly as impressive as this. Amazing. Great tour Andrew.
Just WOW!! This guy is so humble and has obviously worked very very hard to achieve this WOW. Well down mate!!
Edwin is the man
Just wow. This should be an episode of "The worlds most extraordinary homes"
Bought my wife the same Juno DS 88. We use it a lot.
You know when you are hanging out with the homies, daydreaming about winning the lotto, and designing a "home" studio? This is it. So impressive.
Definitely one of if not the best one yet, shows what a skilled craftsman can do, amazing studio and seems like a kool dude as well.
Your Burl Mothership made me drool a bit. Mine has a lot of slot openings left, unlike yours…smile. I like that you stay away from recording music that is negative. Love the Burl converters and even their mic pres. I have the Burl Mic preamps in the mothership and am addicted to even using them over tube preamps or my stereo BAE 1073. I might have missed what you use as a monitor controller though?
If you really want to learn about synthesizers you need to go back to their roots in 1970, Mini Moog which used sound waves - square waves, saw tooth, sin waves and noise to create sounds. The next levels of synthesizers came in the late 1970's with the Yamaha CS-80 and in the early 1980's with the Sequential Circuit's Prophet 5 and Roland's Jupiter 8. The next level of synths were samplers including the Fairlight, New England Digital Synclavier, Roland S50, Akai S1000 and the Ensoniq samplers also the FM sounds of the Yamaha DX7. A lot of today's synths borrow sound from the pioneer synths in combination with sampling synths to give a particular synth a wonderful array of sounds. The history of synthesizers is amazing.
Awesome studio, nicer guy! Thanks for sharing.
The Motif and the Triton, the two best rack synth modules back in their days... Definitely worth keeping them, even with VST versions of the Triton out now... And there is a Karma back there, too.
I agree wholeheartedly. The mainstay of my keyboard rig is (still) a Rack Motif and Trinity.
What an impressive man.
That place is done 100% correctly. Amazing
WOW!
Such a well planned amazing studio.
I guess the concept of "Home Studio" has a brand new level now!
Absolutely incredible. The possibilities of this studio are endless. Andrew thank you for this amazing content!
Glad you like them!
Seeing some of my same equipment in a space like this is never-ending inspiration
By far my favorite studio video so far. Awesome owner, too. Thank you for working on music that is uplifting.
So imporessed with what you've done. Work hard and smart, and chase your dream. Well done! Beautiful Nashville studio!
Holy crap. Love the idea of summing everything through the SSL.
He did an INCREDIBLE job! I’m super impressed. 👏🏽
Outstanding studio!!!! This guy has his stuff together!!! I’m considering building my 4th studio and his design in inspiring! Thanks for this video
Respect this brother period.
Its crazy how neat and aesthetically beautiful this studio is!
I agree 100% with the RED’s being one of the best things that Focusrite’s ever made. I’ve got one of those exact same RED 1’s on loan to me right now and I don’t want to give it back. They sound fucking amazing, my AE buzzword explanation for them is they’re super clean without being too clinical and are extremely musical. To my ears on the clean preamp scale they sit right in between the completely transparent almost like passing through just a single wire of Grace pres and the clean but in your face-ness you get from Avalons. It’s absurd how great those preamps are
this guy is so awesome! can't wait to see more about him.
I am both inspired and broken from this video just so clean. Big respect to the vision and work ethic.
Kidding on the broken part kind of🤘🏻
Brother! Ese estudio está de lujo, de verdad muchas felicidades por todo el trabajo que le han metido a ese espacio. Ya me vi!
This studio is beyond impressive!!
Wow congratulations for the work Andrew!! and congratulations Edwin for this amazing studio, keep on your way!!
i swore out loud when i saw that tracking room... damn!
😅
Crazy! And i love the way he says Bocalbooth ! 😂😂
This tour was the absolute best! Top notch all around. Thanks for sharing.
Bro I was watching this at a red light for 5 minutes… jaw dropped, until I realized it’s a stop sign
The best studio I’ve seen so far truly amazing!!!
Incredible space, but more incredible to see a person at 7:38 crawling behind the window of the control room haha
Wow amazing studio, but even more amazing story for a guy to come from El Salvador at 18 and build such an amazing space and career!
That Peach preamp, yum! So nice to see a brother arrive at his goals.
My favorite Studio so far. It was nice seeing a Steven Slate Mic in a Studio of this caliber! :-)
This is one of the coolest videos I've ever seen on RUclips...
Played a horn session here a few months and it's pretty wild to see what's possible! Edwin is a real good guy
Bunkers 1-4 are actual bunkers underneath this studio. Dope
Love this! Edwing is an amazing guy!
What a beautiful studio.
Proud to say I’m latino and know that out there there’s people who has a passion for this
An amazing studio, a dream come true for Edwin Portillo! Congrats on an outstanding set-up, every possible scenario has been anticipated. WoW!
This place is freaking insane (in a good way). Period.
I am glad I watched this video. Daaang the S1 with 4 expanders is wiiiiiiide.
and ipads on each of them!
So impressive and inspiring! Thank you both for this video!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
One door cost more than my entire studio setup that took me yrs to aquire. This is freaking awesome. I could live here and never leave.
The skill sets and depth of knowledge this gentleman has are mind-blowing. I second all the comments below, but I laughed when he talked about working 'part-time' for a company where he did a lot of carpentry. Part-Time? Where does he GET the time? This phenomenal studio is proof that passion and hard work can get you to some wonderful places...and spaces!
BIG UP SALVI!!!! 503, big fan!
Hands down one of my favs. Love the flow and feel. I could easily get inspired to make music being in an atmosphere like this.
