    Great! I haven't played around enough with KiCAD 5 to have discovered these new improvements. I never understood the reasoning of enforcing the construction sheet in the background with the origin in the far upper left corner.

    "Back in the day" we used to have to actually manually align the board layers during fab and alignment targets were required. We usually placed 3 so that layers couldn't be accidentally flipped.

    I used to use alignment targets (we called them registration marks) in the print industry for CMYK layers etc. This allowed the person who printed the final article to align the layers correctly (or 'in fit').
