    Polished up nicely. That cut, buff and polish is a lot of work. Lately I just color sand and do a flow coat.

      ThankZ man! I don’t cut and buff much, but was super easy with this clear. I’m blown away by it! Probably didn’t take but an hour to do, including the recording. Typically I flow coat most of the time too. This is going to be a display piece for booths/eventZ, so it needed a glass finish!

      @@BrusHstroKeZ a hour. Not bad for a cut and buff. That’s going to look great for a display. It will definitely bring you some business 👍🏾

      ThankZ man! Doing my first booth and public display of my work at the local 34th annual motorcycle show in March. Really excited! They said there hasn’t been a painter to the show in several year too😎

      @@BrusHstroKeZ that’s great. After you did your video made me think about getting a both to get some business. Painting up some display tanks now. Make sure you get some footage when that time comes. Make a great video

      @@CBGRAPHICSAirbrushArt I’ll get footage for sure. I have another tank, tumblerZ, a couple of mailboxes, speed shapeZ, a helmet, and some panelZ I’m hoping to have done up before then too. U definitely should set up a booth and get footage too man!!!

    Nice work Jake the tank turned out great i can't wait to see what you do with your mail box. Try using some packing washers were you have the bolt holding your tank on to stop it moving when ya polishing to hold it more firm, just a thought Mate..

      ThankZ man! My stand is just a temporary set up. I plan on making it much more sturdy, probably use some 1” square tubing and weld something up that fitZ multiple style/size tanks.

    what rotary buffer is that? Have you ever had a part fall from stand while buffing? I bought a Griots G9 CSI XX Compund. I gotta make a special table mount for Harley 5 gallon split tanks.

    • @BrusHstroKeZ
      @BrusHstroKeZ  6 месяцев назад +1

      @@lynntankersley4837 ItZ a cheap Harbor Freight rotary. Haven’t had anything fall. I mount them with a bolt to my stands. I usually make a new mount for each different style tank so I can mount them. Or put them on a rubber ‘Welcome’ mat on a table to buff. ThatZ what I do with split tanks. CSI is awesome stuff, haven’t tried the XX yet but will when I run out of the regular stuff.

    Just caught your video on this, how long did you wait after clear coating to cut and buff?

    • @BrusHstroKeZ
      @BrusHstroKeZ  Год назад +1

      Depends on the clear. I used 2104, 2:1 super high solids. I wait 2 days with them. Most 4:1 I do next day or 2 days later. But at least 24hrs for me personally.

    Great job. Is there a link for the tri-zac paper.

    • @BrusHstroKeZ
      @BrusHstroKeZ  4 года назад +1

      ThankZ man! I don’t have a link. But if u Google, eBay, or Amazon search ‘3M Trizact’ you will easily find them. They come in a range of grits. Usually you have to buy a whole pack/box of them when getting online. I get mine at a local auto partZ store that carries 3M paint supplies, Arnold’s Motor Supply. I can buy individual discs from them. They’re not cheap, but well worth the time and effort they save me!

      I made it out of a roller stand from Harbor Freight. Here’s a video I did on the stand: ruclips.net/video/jjaB5pArHT0/видео.html
