Others often forget what you say or did for them but they'll always remember how you made them feel. They may have passed but their kindness will carry on in the memory of those who were touched by this couple.

Russell Johnson passed away in 2002 at the age of 77 and Jean Johnson passed away in 2018 at the age of 91. $500 was basically the equivalent of $1500 in the 80s. So essentially they received the equivalent of almost $8000 over 4 years in the 80s. They never found out who was sending the checks or the identity of their “angel” was. There was a rumor he was a successful businessman who fell on some hard times due to some bad deals but was able to make a turn around. This was never proven to be true though.

The doctor in the Chucky Christmas miracle story is Greg Wood, a (award-winning) Philadelphia/area actor who also played the father of the girl who was poisoned to death in "The Sixth Sense." (No, I don't know him, and I'm not related to him.) Apparently "Unsolved Mysteries" was filming recreations locally using local talent. It appears to have been filmed at CHOP (Children's Hospital of Philadelphia), which was also used to film scenes of "The Sixth Sense."
Pretty high production values because they could have easily settled for filming in a company studio. Any relaunch of the show will have a lot to live up to.

Ali Re its a roll of the die, sometimes a person will help someone else out if they don't get a bad feeling. Other times that bad feeling will crop up & they'll keep moving or get away as fast as they can. Then there are those other times where a person will help despite the bad feeling, & those are the events that usually define a persons character, some will continue to help despite a bad feeling even tho something went terribly wrong; which is not *_ALWAYS_* the case, not even 50% of the time.

As a child I loved this show even though it scared the crap out of me at times but out of all of them russell and jeans story was the most touching story of all of them to me. They were wonderful people and I truly believe in angels visiting bc of them. I believe that was a test from an angel. I’m so glad to know they were rewarded ten fold. They deserved it. ❤️ the way he said “we didn’t have anything..” ugh just makes you cry that they struggled so much so glad they got some help all those years. They were precious and so very kind to feed a stranger so many people would have told the guy to go away. They didn’t. I’ve always carried this with me and bc of this story I help everyone I can - not just bc it’s the right thing to do but bc you never know who is an angel on earth testing you. Just the sweetest people. RIP to both of them. ❤️

The last one. ☺️ and My grandma had to raise my “mother’s “ 5 kids after raising her own 5. One day when I was 10 Some lady came and sat on our curb us kids were playing outside so we called to grandma to come help. This lady was so full of love. Just bright love beaming from her. She had a drink and a cake and we all talked and then she said she had to go help the babys in the hospital. None of us kids knew what she was talking about. Well she touched my shoulder and I felt warm and like pins and needles all over then I fainted. The next day I woke in hospital and asked grandma what happened and did the lady get to help the babys. She had no idea what I was talking about. So explained and she said no that did not happen. So I carry on and leave that day to go home and the ambulance was bringing a baby in that couldnt breath. Who was next to the baby?! That lady all white and hurting my eyes. So I called grandma! Its her! Can you believe no one was with that baby except her dad and the hospital crew. I asked my siblings and they never saw her either. I will never forget that time. I have always believed there are others ready to help even if its just you who sees them ♥️

The miracle was the doctor’s, nurses and scientists who studied hard and gave that child every but of their combined knowledge. Certainly they will always warn parents that the child may not make it when the kid is that close to death and has pressure on the brain. Why anyone believes superstitious nonsense really cures anyone is beyond me. If they really thought saints and god cured kids-they would take the sick kid to the church rather than the hospital. Yet they NEVER do.

==You are talking about statistics and averages.
      It's like saying:
Recovery from the cold take an average of 10 days.
Then you have a person that recovers in 1 day.
Since 1 day is far from the average, then it is rare and so the conclusion is that it is a miracle.
However, some people might take 1 month to recover. Can we call this a miracle as well?
Statistics don't tell us what actually happened. Using statistics to conclude a rare event is a miracle is none sense.

This elderly couple was the best sweet story😭 i try everyday to be has kind and generous to people! I dont have many friends but i like to be alone, i have anxiety. I remember specially one moment has a child that I regret and wish I did. I was at a sport centre for a couple days and there was another boy abit younger living in the neighbour room. The think is, there was no parents allowed there. We had each an adult that worked there to be with us after we went out to do sport. One morning I went out of my room, and I looked into the other room, the boy was dressing himself in winter clothes and he was crying. I was so shy and had not good self astern because I was bullied a lot in school back in my hometown, so what I did was just standing there, wishing I could say something but didn’t dare. Just to make him feel better. Then I went off and outside. To this day. I think about this moment. I too was a child and it was my first time far away from home. But one of the things I regret is this moment. But also in good spirit knowing I was young and already wanting to care for people. I tried to let it go. ❤️😭 who’s got a story they wanna share?

the exact same thing happened to my mom. in 1991 when we were living in Jacksonville, FL it was in November and we were having rough times and a plain brown envelope arrived in our mailbox with a check for $500 and there was a note that my mom read over and over again, it said 'to my little June bug' my mom was balling every time she read it because that was a name only my grandma called her when she was a little girl. my grandma had died 3 yrs earlier and it devastated my mom but that November and the next we received that check and that exact same note. my mom believed that somehow my grandma sent it to her from heaven, she believed that not only because the nickname in the note but also because the handwriting was my grandmothers and she received both checks during the week in November that my grandmother and grandfather died. my grandfather died in the 2nd week in November 1971 in a car accident and my grandmother died the same week in November just a day after my grandfather but 18 yrs apart.

  • @astridlove2327
    @astridlove2327 3 года назад +8

Jean and Russel are how my family is. I was raised that if I had enough to eat, I had enough to share. I have applied this to different areas of life. The sad thing is, people like them, my family we are still here but there is so much shady scary things that could go wrong in a situation like this. People are terrified to reach out a helping hand because of they don’t know if they will get their hand bitten off or not. However, it still doesn’t mean that you cannot help people from afar. My husband and I have been fortunate enough to not only hold our jobs during all this covid stuff but actually gain better employment/raises/increased hours while decreasing expenses such as child care and gas to commute. We are both well aware of what struggle looks like since we both grew up in poor homes and did not find success until a couple years ago. So, it is so painful for us to see people losing jobs, businesses, homes. Any little bit we can do to help we try to. Sure we donate to the grocery stores for food and all that but we go beyond that. Anytime I stop to pick up something to eat out somewhere I always pay for the person who is next,
I found neighbors who didn’t know how to provide xmas to their kids and we provided them with a ton of stuff . I also had sent a neighbor money in a card as we knew her husband had just been laid off. There is no recognition in these deeds as they are always down anonymously. I could name more things but I think everyone gets the point. You don’t have to risk yourself to be kind and giving.

It's something I don't like to share (good deeds are best kept quiet) but I am a cashier and I can't tell how often I've reached into my own pocket to help if someone could not come up with those last few bucks. I barely scrape by myself, but it's the small things, and you know it is the right thing to do. Paying me back is never required, even if I skipped a meal that day to make up for it. I have been paid back many times, but my usual line is just pay it forward. There will come the day they can help someone else, no matter how small a thing. That and I've done child sponsorship since I was seventeen years old. I am not someone who can go out and openly do stuff like I've known others to do with good deeds. I've had to do it in a way where I don't have to mix and mingle to do the right thing. I don't donate to random charities because I am more sure of where my money goes in the way I handle it.
PS....there is a world of difference between doing good deeds for clout (selfish!) versus telling of a good deed when you want to inspire others. It's just better when someone can say, "Someone helped me once; I want to do this to help someone else," because it shows that the feeling continues.
