Molly's family is acting like she's a poor, little victim. She's a crummy, straight-up criminal and a lousy excuse for a mother abandoning her little girl to go commit crimes with her new stud. Family and friends are usually blinded by the fact that they love the person. It messes up their objectivity and open mindedness. I have a brother in prison for life since 1992 for murder and have lived this firsthand. Sure you love them, but they still have to be held accountable and justice be served. Making excuses for them doesn't help them or anyone else. I won't change my mind about right and wrong simply because he's my brother.
Anyone who is updating someone who’s in a gang and needs to borrow $1000 to get out of jail, should run for the hills and not be dating anyone like that. It’ll only get you in trouble or killed.
Cynthia had a whole other life nobody knew about, her and her actual man ran off together, she was underestimated by everyone who trusted her, be careful who you trust you will never know what the next person has really got on their mind

Molly willingly left She didn’t like being a mother.. that’s my opinion. If she cared about her daughter and family she couldn’t fathom leaving them... he didn’t have a gun to her head at the time she left. She could have walked into a police station. I would never leave my child for a man, period.
As soon as I saw the thumbnail I recognized it was the Oscar Velazquez case; he was trying to be a decent guy there and wasn't aware that he was in danger.
He was trying to be decent when he let them borrow the money right? Because going to their house expecting a threesome was pretty douche ish but yeah those girls need to rot in hell
Solved. In December of 2006, investigators examined Cindy's family's phone records and learned that they had made phone calls to Walton County, Florida. They soon located her in Walton County where she had been living since she vanished. She had been living on a house boat under the name Cindy Blanchard. After learning that the police were going to arrest her, Cindy left her home and drove to the Kokomo Police Department in Kokomo, Indiana to turn herself in. She pleaded guilty to theft and served two years in prison before being released. She also repaid most of the stolen money. She denied having an accomplice and it is not believed that anyone else was involved in the crime. How anyone believed she was innocent, idk. 😂😂😂
On Aril 29, 2005, Commercial Crimes Division Detectives arrested Omar Adalberto Arroyo at Los Angeles World Airport after his extradition from Costa Rica by United States Marshals. Arroyo was wanted on 45 felony counts for Grand Theft, Identity Theft, Forgery, Perjury, and Credit Card Fraud. Arroyo was part of a ring of suspects operating children's music schools in Southern California. The suspects would obtain the parents financial information and make unauthorized credit transactions creating a loss to over 200 Hispanic families and numerous financial institutions in excess of $1,500,000. Arroyo became a fugitive in October 2001, after the arrest of a second suspect, Mario Yunis, who last year received a 12 year sentence on this case. Commercial Crimes Division Detectives initiated a manhunt, and tracked Arroyo to Florida, Puerto Rico, New York, Canada, Mexico City, and Costa Rica, where the Costa Rican Interpol arrested him. Arroyo refused to be extradited and remained in Costa Rican custody pending an official request for extradition by the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, High Tech Crime Unit. Twenty months later, Arroyo called the United States Embassy in Costa Rica, requesting his return to the United States.

Did Cindy Wismiller's family know where she was during these interviews? She was found living in Florida after her family was making phone calls there.
I remember being in 7th gr in chicago and a classmate brought the police report & interrogations on the defracisco sisters after they were arrested. Idk how she got them. We all took turns reading it in class. I remember when this aired too. We all watched it.
The cases are still captivating in the later seasons, but the theme & the softer voice of Robert Stack, doesn’t have the same kick as the earlier seasons. The narration and suspense of the theme music was everything.
I knew Cindy did it when she didn't change her schedule. Anyone handling millions weekly/daily for $7.50 an hour can do wrong. Starts with, you need $100 to pay the power bill. You don't get caught, then it's $500. Then $1,000, $2,000, $10,000. Once you steal $5,000, you might as well get $250,000. Same sentence.
You might think that but the reality is she has a felony conviction that will close many doors for her in the future in terms of housing, employment, schooling opportunities, eligibility for government programs, etc. It's not just any felony either but one of the two worst kinds of felonies: a felony of dishonesty. That means it's unlikely if not impossible that she will ever be able to get any decent job which chances of advancement, supervisory positions, and certainly no job where she would be placed in a position of trust. There's a lot of other long-lasting collateral consequences to convictions like that that people don't consider.
Margaret DeFrancisco was captured in March of 2002 after authorities received tips that she was at the home of relatives in Roscoe, Illinois. Seven months later, Regina DeFrancisco was arrested in Dallas, Texas for stealing a car from an acquaintance; she was soon discovered to be wanted in Illinois after her fingerprints were checked. At their trials, the sisters claimed that they killed Oscar in self-defense. However, their friend testified that the sisters' plan was to rob Oscar. She claimed that they walked down to the basement and she heard a gunshot. Other friends testified that the sisters had confessed to killing him. Regina was found guilty of first degree murder and sentenced to thirty-five years in prison. She will not be eligible for parole until 2037. Margaret's first trial ended in a mistrial, but she was found guilty at a second trial and sentenced to forty-six years in prison. She will not be eligible for parole until 2050.

Lol gotta love that Boston accent.
@@johnsavedbygrace3998 just commented on that obvious fact. Certainly a Boston accent
Some ppl protect their family,, some tell on them...

Anyone who is updating someone who’s in a gang and needs to borrow $1000 to get out of jail, should run for the hills and not be dating anyone like that. It’ll only get you in trouble or killed.
This was one of the best Unsolved Mysteries I have ever seen if not the best. The last
Cynthia had a whole other life nobody knew about, her and her actual man ran off together, she was underestimated by everyone who trusted her, be careful who you trust you will never know what the next person has really got on their mind
This is the reason I don't put anything pass anyone. When someone does anything outrageous including so called friends and family, it doesn't surprise anymore.
@@cindycrispin2023 same here, nothing surprise's me
I think she has another life like you said

She could've just avoided his calls... She didn't have to butcher the poor guy for $1000. Or maybe just got a job for 2 weeks. The next story of the dude with the gun.. "stop the cahhrrr" like wtf is wrong with people. This is why I no longer sell stuff on craigslist.!!
LOL
They're gang member, so human life means nothing.
A agree. Be careful who you trust. My list is small, and I like it that way.
Molly willingly left
She didn’t like being a mother.. that’s my opinion. If she cared about her daughter and family she couldn’t fathom leaving them... he didn’t have a gun to her head at the time she left. She could have walked into a police station. I would never leave my child for a man, period.
I agree she choose the fast life over her child
Exactly! She's not a victim.
Yup, she's a POS
You should like you'd make a good mother unless you're already one in which case we need more common sense ones like.
I forgot to add you to my comment, sorry.
This was my absolute favorite show growing up. This and the Walton's...go figure 😂
It's my favorite I watched this growing up I loved Robert stack
I had the feeling her son knew what was going on but acted like he didn't. I saw on Facebook where Cynthia and her son now live in Sacramento, CA.
This was, when show's were really good and wholesome, not the JUNK on t.v. now..... SHALOM everyone ❤️❤️❤️.

And to think that you get the bail money back when the court case is done (unless u don’t show up for court). So she basically killed this guy for $1,000 she would’ve gotten back
Ah she wanted to keep the $ rather than pay back the poor dumb sap
You never get the bailed money back. That money was to bail her out so she wouldn't spend more time day in jail. If she wasn't bailed she had to wait until court date. Another word early released.
I think her sister lied that she was in jail. It was probably to bail out her real boyfriend.

The family reunion at the end of this show/episode is truly amazing and wonderful, and I am very happy for you all.
Did Cindy Wismiller's family know where she was during these interviews? She was found living in Florida after her family was making phone calls there.
Probably ... explains why they're so fond of floating the idea that she was doing it against her will.

I agree
24 months for all that bank fraud, that's easy money
You might think that but the reality is she has a felony conviction that will close many doors for her in the future in terms of housing, employment, schooling opportunities, eligibility for government programs, etc. It's not just any felony either but one of the two worst kinds of felonies: a felony of dishonesty. That means it's unlikely if not impossible that she will ever be able to get any decent job which chances of advancement, supervisory positions, and certainly no job where she would be placed in a position of trust. There's a lot of other long-lasting collateral consequences to convictions like that that people don't consider.
That’s why they do it.
exactly feel like I would take 200k for 2 years in prison all day. Horrible system

It would be nice if when the updates come up they would be red as opposed to shown because there are those folks who are blind out there including myself so it would be greatly appreciated if the updates would be read as opposed to just being shown could that be done
Hi, Faith, when these episodes are posted to RUclips they are only showing what was made long ago.
It would be great if they ever produce new episodes, that they pay to have someone read the updates out loud, I agree.
I've heard that there are Unsolved Mysteries fan created websites online that have the updates organized by each episode and season, if that helps.
Do you have a way to have what's on a screen online read to you by an automated voice??
I hope so. Take good care!
"Blinded by her good looks"?... The show's writers must have LOW standards.
@Dwayne Carter I’m sure the girls new neighbors thought they were beautiful 😅

I keep forgetting no one knew about repressed memories in the 90s, probably why when I had some resurface in 2009 it was such a shock and something I had a hard time describing; I thought it was hallucination at first.

I miss him so much I get sad when I watch this show now
Not my mother she's honest as the day is long, oh, but wait a minute...
You act like taking money from a bank is dishonest. You have it backwards. Banks are fundamentally evil institutions (see usury) and those who appropriate their holdings without shedding blood are not criminals. Only a brainwashed public, willing to believe the narrative of a nefarious organization like the FBI, believes that hogwash about evil bank robbers.
@@MaximusWolfe sounds like something a bank robber would say ... 🤔🤨
Doesn't pay to be nice. If Oscar never lent them the money he would still be alive.
This is a great episode.
Cynthia likely had someone she ran away with(and was having an affair with)and took the money to start a new life. There’s no way she would start work that early without being scheduled for that time.

regarding cynthia wissmiller...her poor family had to 'eat crow'...just read where she was apprehended and confessed and had NO accomplice....very sad for her family and boyfriend.....
Her family were liars; they were calling the Florida county she was hiding out in.
What about the poor landlord who got her place trashed. Where is her justice?
While I certainly don't condone destroying property, I would hardly compare it to someone losing their life.
It's called a "security deposit" and most landlord's require the tenant to pay it before they allow them to move in.

It's amazing how "hard core" the two young girls were in the last segment, and even without any direct, serious involvement in the murder from the one girl's ex-con boyfriend, if he'd had any involvement at all.
