I'm so sad that Tisha's story ended the way it did. I was hoping she would be found. Glad someone was captured. Her story should be a wake up call for all parents that you must watch your children. They should be allow to stay up late and constantly on a computer. Parents should be fully aware of their children's computer activities. And kids shouldn't be getting in and out of car and the parents don't know who that person. Having said that, the internet was very new at the time and her mother may have not realized the dangers of the internet in those days. You never know who is on the other end of the computer.
The internet was actually not all that new by 2000. There had already been incidents going back years of creepers luring kids and other people online. Online safety had been a topic of discussion long before the incident that was covered in this episode .
@@bdjoh011 Get your facts straight before you victim blame. Trisha was kidnapped while on an early morning walk. She didn’t meet some dude on the internet. @@LostInOldMovies That’s not remotely true. Do some research before commenting about a subject. The number of wrongfully convicted individuals on death row would shock you.
@@MyKali2009If we are against the death penalty because we cannot be 100% sure if we are executing the right person, we are automatically forced not to support life in prison without parole or any prison time at all. It's a bummer there hasn't been an update on the last story. With what they can do with DNA now, this woman could almost certainly find her birth family.
In case anyone was wondering how Angela and Eric Mize were eventually focused on as suspects, a tipster called the police telling them that Angela may have had information about the murders. The police were interested because she was a co-worker of Janice’s. When questioned, Angela admitted she was present when Janice and Alyssa were killed, but said her husband Eric committed the murders. She eventually confessed to being involved in the murders. The really sick part: the motive was sexual gratification towards Alyssa, and Janice was murdered because she witnessed what happened. The two pled guilty on October 8, 2002. The Prosecutor warned that if they didn’t plead guilty by that day, that he would seek the death penalty against them both. They are very lucky they took the life sentences: a jury or judge would’ve probably been all too eager to sentence them to death for what they did.
The Tricia Autry case makes me so mad. Her parents said “we knew she did not run away”…. But she did. She was unhappy and found a creep on the internet. Her parents were not tuned into who she was and what she needed and she looked somewhere else for it.

The way the mother talks about her daughter “she would believe someone could need her and want her...” leads me to believe she is the reason she had low self esteem.
Right? The way her mom was just telling national TV about how she was made fun of and stuff - I mean, I get in some ways it is relevant, but if I had been Tricia I don't think I would have WANTED to be found at that point. You could have just said that she was struggling to find her place, etc.
Ya'll are just being snowflakes, she could of had the best mother in the world and it stil wouldn't have stopped her daughter feeling that way, her mother was just telling us how she thinks her daughter felt which is how most outcast teenagers feel, so you can't assume her mother was to blame for her self esteem, she was unpopular and overweight so really no amount of love from her mother would have took the feeling of wanting to be loved away.

In the way and sexual gratification only explains part of it. Why did they choose this mother and daughter?? Did they know them or something? That isn’t explained.
Life in prison without the possibility of parole is TOO EASY for these murderers...They should be on death row and their date of execution kept secret, every day they would wake up wondering is this the day I die?

Tricia's situation is common with a domineering mom. It's obvious that her mom (probably Mormon) tried to control her so much and Tricia probably hoped that some guy would rescue her from her mom.

If you read the case, the grandma was with him when she reached the home in the afternoon, but since there was no one there, she left with him to her home.
I felt uneasy when Trisha’s mom referred to her as “good bait” 😕 Sometimes nosey neighbours can be a good thing 👍
Just her mom saying that she was good bait is disturbing.
@@bdjoh011 what im curious about is Trisha was killed by just a man, so who was this women with them?
Kmt
@@brittweasley7184 It most likely wasn't Trisha.
@@bdjoh011 Get your facts straight before you victim blame. Trisha was kidnapped while on an early morning walk. She didn’t meet some dude on the internet. Besides, the dad was dying of cancer around this time, so the mom had a lot on her plate. How about a lil compassion and understanding instead of judgment?
So the guy witnesses Trisha possibly beaten and looked drugged...and he did nothing?
Autry's mom is so eloquent and intelligent. So sad. I can't imagine what she is going through
Almost.......detached?
@@barbarat5729from the situation or the hurt?
Perhaps that’s her coping mechanism
This might be the most nitpicking thing, but they did reuse footage from the circleville letters at 2:25. Original in S7E6 at 19:55. And yes, I have autism.
I noticed too. I’ve watched the Circleville Letter Writer episode more than any other. Odd, must be “school bus stock” vid clip.
I noticed too. No big deal
Aww. I have autism too. Pdd-Nos.
I have autism too, and I’m 25 years old.
Wow mom never made it home either.
I really enjoyed this series. Too bad they can't bring it back or something similar.
This is one of the saddest episodes ever.
It amazes me how people can be hypocritcally against the death penalty.
So you believe we should murder those who murder? We're supposed to be above that.. you stoop to the level of the criminal when you kill them
Because you can’t be 100% sure 100% of the time
@@johnscanlon2598 Yea but that's irrelevant with the death penalty, you normally only get that for really horrible crimes that usually have more evidence, while a lot more people wrongly get convincted than you would think, how many people who have been given the death penalty have actually been innocent? I'd say very little to none. So they can make it so only cases with concrete evidence should be given the death penalty, that would solve it.
We cannot be 100% sure we are sending the right person to prison… and we all know innocent people spend years or decades in prison.
Raping a toddler and murdering her and her mother? This is why we need the death penalty. Same goes for Cody too.
Bad people slept better than all of us good being. so stop wondering if they can live with themselves and their bad deed. it does seems Yes!!
NO they don't dumb ass.. it's always there when they close their eyes. When death comes to them, Hades they will go and then Hell to be vanquish. All in solitary. Thou shall not MURDER.
💔💔💔💔💔💔💔😤🤬😪😫
What?
@@davidcross701 Thou shalt not for no good reason be a foul-mouthed as*hat to innocent people on the Internet! BTW, note corrections: to be vanquished, and shalt. Also, which religion has you going to the mythological Greek Hades as a temporary precursor to Hell? I'm genuinely curious about that one.
In this episode, when Robert stack comments during the videos, having watched all the seasons till the beginning till now, you can tell he isn't in the greatest of health or has aged big time. The season after was his last.
When they showed the guy who killed Tricia I got the weirdest chill
33:56. Nice job Jerry. I understand he didn't want to get involved but if u knew it was her and she looked like she needed help, why the hell didn't he at least go outside and get the license plate number.
"Observed using a backhoe on facility property to dig deep trenches..."

lol! Good catch!
@Dorian Green 😅😅😅
Sadly, Kim never did find her mother "Mary Carson" if, in fact, that was her real name or if it was her actual mother.
Jewel Clark, As far as I know she is still looking but the nurse, Billie Updkie passed away in 2011.
That mother is creepy. Even online. They never stated why the mother and daughter were murdered. Was it a robbery turn wrong ? Did the mother know the two couples ?! Nothing.
The couple cook the little girl for sexual gratification and killed mother because she was a witness
Why they killed the lil girl for sexual advances than killed janice owens because she was a witness is beyond me but I pray these 2 rotting evil assholes🤬 dies a Horrific slow painful gruesome death in prison my point exactly
@Crim Sin shut up and go away you write bullshit
Damn the dude who killed Trisha looks scary as hell… poor girl 💔. Rest in peace
the people that see suspicious activity should always call the police, never just think nothing of it.
27:38 what’s going on with Stacks voice???
he died of heart failure in 2003 complications of prostate cancer
Heared he was doing radiation treatments for prostate cancer but idk how true it is
This segment must have been recorded well after the others. His voice was pretty weak in the final year of the show. The difference from the early seasons is extremely noticeable.
D Mize. What a name under the circumstances
you can tell Robert Stack is not feeling well.. when he is on camera he sounds fine but when you hear just his voice it sounds strained as if he is haveng trouble speaking not the healthy tone of voice you normally would hear.
Patrick Peralta you are correct! The quieter voiceovers definitely display his failing health
True but his voice is so unique, no other like it, it will definitely be missed RIP Robert 💜💜🙏
Who refers to their missing daughter as, "a tiny person that I loved?" Weird way to put it
I know I've never heard that before
Tiny as in precious, innocent, and vulnerable. A person a mother naturally feels would be under her wing of protection and care. Not weird at all.
Some people would say that about their kids.
If Kimberly still wants to know about her origins, familial dna may help.
I don’t understand how people can rape and murder a person and throw them away or bury them like garbage!
great series
I'm adopted n at 39 I have kids of my own. My dad died of AIDS when I was 8 but I found out that my biological mother still lives in the same town as me! Crazy w the world bein so big but I came to realize knowing who ur parents are doesn't change what they are
Sorry about your dad I wish you all the best in life
Good As Usual Go Get Em Robert Stack 😉 😊😁
I lived down the road from the killer Eric Mize I woke up the day they caught him and a cop was watching me sleep making sure he wouldn’t come after the neighbors to use anyone as a hostage I was around 18 or 19 years old at the time I was so mad waking to and seeing a cop and being forced to leave my room and go where everyone else was outside.
The way the mother talks about her daughter “she would believe someone could need her and want her...” leads me to believe she is the reason she had low self esteem.
EXACTLY! her mother was probably part of the reason she felt so unlovable, why did her mother think she couldn't find a healthy relationship??
I'll never understand why police decide to take-down a known criminal with "safe bullets" when that criminal is ready to commit suicide.... LET HIM.... and save the U.S. taxpayer hundreds of thousands of dollars.....!!!
Yup.

Be careful out there folks..
David Lee Kemp segment made Mr so angry..
as if he got to live 14 free years on the run and got to turn himself in on his terms..
after living it up and ticking off a bucket list Robert and Jessica didn't get to experience at all...
"I did what police officers aren't supposed to do. I broke down."
Police are human beings with feelings too. Not sure why a lot of people forget that.
He’s a moron for even saying that. Trust me...most police officers are soft (and that has nothing to do with crying).
Most cops are led to believe they can't show emotions, it's seen as a sign of weakness. 😥😥
“Could this have been a case of love gone wrong?” (Shows picture of most unhinged husband on earth)...
Exactly lol
That's a pretty kitty pin!,is the kitty your?
Second segment is the definition of cold blooded murder.
2:25 Anybody else notice that she's riding on the Circleville bus?
I noticed in this episode, that the voice of Robert Stack was different, it was not the same as in previous shows. Oh well, but he still was great in this show, he made what Unsolved Mysteries was, a true great show. Rest in Peace always, Robert 🙏
He got old. These seasons were released around early 2000’s right before he passed
RIP Trisha😥💔
Even a hint of motive in the first case would've been nice.
20:48 that cell phone really happened lol
Mr & Mrs D. Mize hahaha. Why did they kill the mother & daughter???
animal lover Sexual gratification of Alyssa. The mom was a witness so they killed her. May they rot in hell.
@@m.j.mbrooks1859 Hell is too good for them.
@@m.j.mbrooks1859 they killed Ms Owen cause she was quote" in the way"
In the way and sexual gratification only explains part of it. Why did they choose this mother and daughter?? Did they know them or something? That isn’t explained.
What happened to Robert Stack's voice on this episode? Was he sick during this time?
Yea he died soon after this
Cancer
The thumbnail look like a meme
It really does..what would it say?
You guys are terrible.

Another great episode
Where's the brother at in the 1st case
Good question
Trisha is pretty,I like her red hair, kind eyes, lively lovely smile, and she had a healthy solid build, didn't look sickly,a nice thing to see🙂
Life in prison without the possibility of parole is TOO EASY for these murderers...They should be on death row and their date of execution kept secret, every day they would wake up wondering is this the day I die?
The rest of your life in a cell is way worse than knowing one day your suffering will come to an end
If they go to Jesus Christ in jail the ywill go to Heaven cause the only sin that cannot be forgiven is blaspheming the Holy Ghost so says Jesus Christ.
Wait the police can use non-lethal projectiles? Why don't they do this now?
They do, it's called a bean bag. 😂🤣🤣
He handed himself in and got life, no parole, note to self never give up stay on the run forever yeee death

9:12 This guys name is Jeff Stacy😂 For those who don’t know what I’m talking about look up Jeff Stacy to catch a predator.
I feel bad for Trish, she needed a friend. I've meant great people on social media that I think I can trust, but you need to be careful, and kids have no business talking to people they don't know. The guy that betrayed her trust is a creep. The real Trish was pretty, I wish she went to my school and we could have been friends.
Tricia's situation is common with a domineering mom. It's obvious that her mom (probably Mormon) tried to control her so much and Tricia probably hoped that some guy would rescue her from her mom.
This comment reminded me of gypsy rose and her story as far as the controlling mother and wanting to be rescued...but gypsy took a WHOLE OTHER ROUTE
What in God's name are you talking about?? Domineering? Where in the hell did you get the Mormon bit? You're an idiot.
michelleprieur1 Well, they live in Utah, the Mormon capital of the world and they have multiple children, which is common in LDS. Also, its kinda obvious from watching that the mum is a little domineering. She calls her a little person that she took care of for example. This is all conjecture and may not be true at all but you were so rude about it for no reason 🤦♀️
@35:29, that mugshot scared the heck out of me.

That last story just ends in the middle of a sentence it seems.
