It is an irrefutable fact that Robert Stack made Unsolved Mysteries a great show with his fine narration, his impeccable image, his professionalism being a host. Too sad that this show was discontinued being a successful series. Robert Stack is sorely missed as well as this series.
Rest in Peace always, Robert, you are irreplaceable. 🙏💐👍🙌👏

    LEAH ROBERTS UPDATE -
After the initial investigation concluded, Kara asked the Whatcom County sheriff's office to keep Leah's car in case more clues turned up years later. This decision bore fruit in 2006 when Mark Joseph, the detective who had originally investigated the case, passed his files on to two younger detectives.[8] Reviewing the case, one of the detectives noticed that the car and its contents had not been fully processed for evidence when it was originally brought in, so the two decided to finish that job.[3]
As no one had looked under the Jeep's hood during the initial investigation, the detectives pried it open and found that a wire to the starter relay had been cut. This would have allowed the car to accelerate without anyone having depressed the gas pedal, confirming early suspicions that no one had been in the car when it left the road, and thus had been purposely wrecked. The detectives found a fingerprint under the hood and some male DNA on an article of Leah's clothing.

The guy who called anonymously claiming to see Leah killed her I'm sure. Why would a real (innocent) witness want to remain anonymous? They would want some credit for finding Leah! He called to throw the investigators off, by making them think she was alive but didn't stay on the phone long enough to be identified.

@@cheryldahl9192 though I agree to an extent, there are valid reasons why people don't come forward.
Mainly if a person has a criminal background, they might not want to come forward because A. Not wanting to deal with police B. Fear that they'll be blamed. C. Fear that they won't be believed
My sister was an addict. Years later, when she was completely clean, she was sexually assaulted & upon reporting it to the police they did not believe her.
As a result of the skepticism & indifference by the police, she now has no desire to go to the cops about anything she may be the victim of, or witness to, in the future.
Another case, the Boca Mall Murders.........a woman & her 7yr old daughter were found dead in the backseat of their idling SUV.
Both mother & child were shot in the head at point blank range & both were wearing blacked out swimming goggles & both were bound with handcuffs & both their necks were affixed to the seats headrests with zip ties.
Turns out a couple months earlier, this same exact scenario played out with another mother & small child........except they lived to tell about it.
However, the police didn't believe the first woman & thought her story was far fetched.
Until they came across the second crime scene months later

I spent time in a group home for girls in Fall River. Exactly across the street from the Borden House. At this time,no one lived there and it was empty. One night, a friend and I broke out of the girls home and into the Borden house. I walked into the parlor where Mr.Borden died. I thought my friend was with me and she pushed me. I turned around to yell at her for messing around and she wasn’t there. She had gotten scared and ran outside. This is right before the House was turned into a bed and breakfast. We also used to see figures in the upstairs window from our bedroom window . Scared the shit out of me

The story on Leah Roberts on here is one of the best I've seen. I visually can now see the whole story as others put so much "fluff. I’ve never seen her story with the jeep on the side of the road. ID Disappeared did a show on Leah, they provided details that were not mentioned here
And no disrespect but law enforcement is often inept.. they over look a lot or hire unskilled folks in area specialty. I think her car was rigged to go over the cliff. I read years ago her car sat on the lot for a long time and no ever checked the mechanics of rigging the car
Over the years there’s one thing that I’ve learned , a lot of details are false, inaccurate etc due to incompetence which really shocks me that details are not vetted ….. there’s a wiki page on Leah also

Suicide is a touchy subject. Family always deny the possibility. They can't admit it to themselves.
Between the police clearing the ex school mate and the origins of the phone calls being resolved - Brian likely killed himself. He was having a hard time with school, maybe his sexuality.
They say he was quiet and introspective. His dad uses the phrase 'crisis mode'. Did Brian have a type of mental illness that wasn't disclosed? Was it undiagnosed?
He went to the place he was familiar / comfortable with and killed himself is the most logical conclusion. To suggest he was afraid for his life, yet didn't want to talk to anyone about it, then went to an isolated spot when a random nut or an ex lover killed him is jumping to unsubstantiated conclusions.

I love a good ghost story, but in the case of the Lizzie Borden B&B I think it's just a money grab. The owner(s) of the bed & breakfast are taking advantage of the gruesome murders to make money out of it, knowing that a haunted house is far more marketable than a regular boring old house. This ain't about imperialism or whatever you wrote, it's about calling out a scam artist preying on the gullible - the owner(s) of the Lizzie Borden B&B are stealing money from their customers by pretending that the place is haunted when it isn't, and that's really wrong. These owners are taking advantage of a real life tragedy to fill their bank accounts, that's unacceptable and that's why I wrote my comment in the first place. Leah's car remained in the possession of investigators for several years. In 2006, the car was re-examined; it was discovered that a wire to the starter relay had been cut. This would have allowed the car to accelerate without anyone depressing the gas pedal, confirming early suspicions that no one had been in the car when it left the road and thus had been purposely wrecked. They found a fingerprint under the hood and some male DNA on an article of Leah's clothing.
Investigators re-interviewed a man who claimed to have seen Leah at a restaurant in the area. The man had worked as a mechanic and had a military background, which made them suspicious of him. However, the fingerprint in her car was not a match to him. It is not known if the DNA matched him or not.
Investigators continue to hope that Leah will someday be found; they believe that her remains are somewhere near the area where her car was found.

Bryan didn't have a car of his own did he? If he was scared he was probably still safest on campus with a bunch of people around all the time. Did he have off campus hang out spots? He couldn't have been knocked out on campus and dragged to a car or something someone would've seen something and if he saw anyone he felt threatened by on campus before being attacked he could have screamed for help or ran to a dorm area with a lot of people.
