I love the animation style. Just love it. Correct me if I'm wrong though but in the end credits of the 1st episode, I think there were character designs of Aunt May that they didn't use? The one's where she had short hair(like her character in the comics). I think there were even totally different designs for Harry Osborn where he had short hair?
I would love to see Cloak and Dagger show up in this show and I have NO doubt that the Fantastic Four will show up given Peter and Johnny Storm's friendship.
Yeah this shows coo but it really makes you appreciate the 90s cartoon more. Some fans are a little fatigued on this highschool spider man these last ten years. Like bro some folks cant relate any more to these versions of Peter….
A) the pizza place was called Pizza Time 😭 B) they had 'Help Wanted' signs all over the window and she said she was desperate because she lost her job; could he not have OFFERED HER ONE
Seriously. My only thought was that he didn't since he uses a lot of energy on the job. But he could have at least split it with her. However, I like it because it shows how clumsy he is
I thought the same thing, I thought for sure The Old Man was going to offer a job if she wanted it. That whole senesce didn't really sense then to have the help wanted signs in the window then the lady say she was sorry for stealing but she lost her job and was desperate, and then not offer a job.
I mean, would you trust someone that just robbed you to work for you immediately? I think practically it doesn't make as much sense as it does narratively, and I feel like "hey man, maybe don't narc her out to the police" hits all the same notes it needs to while not asking for extraordinary levels of sympathy.
@ari54x I'm the type of person that would have offered her a job or at least asked her what her job had been to help her out, because she was clearly remorseful and did not want to be someone who would steal money 🤷🏻♀️ just don't know why they'd bother animating the "Help Wanted" signs so prominently AND make her reason the fact that she'd just lost her job without then following through on it 😅
When I heard Normal speak I got chills at how much he sounded like William Dafoe's Norman. It's definitely doing a lot more than I had expected and it definitely shows the most promise I have seen since the 90s animated Spider-Man
This was my favorite moment between the two episodes. Seeing the spidey do his heroic acts but still trying to see the good side of people was very cool. For me it proves that the show has heart and is for some reason
If you read the prequel comic for the show, Peter visits Delmar's deli from the Homecoming movie right after he gets bit by the spider. It was cool to see them bring that connection to this interpretation.
I just watched the first 2 episodes a bit ago. I’m really pleasantly surprised of how much I enjoyed them!! The animation is really different from the kind I’m usually familiar with but I really liked and was vibing with it!! It is truly like a comic book! I loved all the MCU references and other things in the episodes!! Really looking forward to the rest of season 1!! It’s exciting that there’s going to be a season 3!!

I think Nico's necklace is the source of her powers. Maybe she discovers that in a future episode. I really like the animation style. I wish it was a filter in the Spider-Man (PS5) video game, similar to what they did with the into the spider-verse suits.
I enjoyed the writing and the voice cast. This animation is an eye sore but they do show the duality of how Spiderman constantly inconveniences Peter and that’s what I wanted to see. Dr. wittman was pure comedy 😂
At beginner i was not vibe with animation but after watching the 2 Eps feel like im see a PS2 game and i love it , now i want a spiderman game in that style
Also why did he become Spider-Man in this show? His whole reason in the comics to become Spider-Man was because, after getting bitten and getting his powers, he used his powers in a wrestling match that he had entered and won , only he gets stiffed by the owner of match, and out of the money he won, and when the owner gets robbed and asks Peter to stop the robber before he can get away in the elevator, to get back at the guy for stiffing him, let the robber get away. Only hours later same robber tries rob Peter's house but Uncle Ben startles the robber and gets shoot and killed. Peter seeing it's the same robber he could have stopped, but let his pride and anger and wanting to get back at the guy for stiffing him, get in the way of doing right thing, and Uncle Ben paid the price because of it. So Peter to Avenge Uncle Ben went after the guy and stopped him. And after that became Spider-Man and use power responsibly That did not happen in this story show because, Uncle Ben is already dead and before Peter even gets bitten or gets his powers, so what would have made him want to become Spider-Man ?

Spoilers ahead:- Episode 1 - Great introduction episode (i love this comicbook animations) & answered some of the question from mcu (etc:- about uncle Ben, etc) & I love Nico as Peter Best friend (she really cares about him)... but Harry doesn't even know about Peter & Peter is in totally different school which makes him no friends with mj & others... total 7.5 out of 10💯 Episode 2 - Great Episode, specially making Norman replacing iron man & giving peter internship at Osborn was best, plus showing an intern from Wakanda raise many kind of questions like how does Norman knows about Wakanda & getting her in Osborn internship program, does wakanda is open for everyone, is black planter is friend with Osborn like captain america is, etc... & the last part is hilarious like how Peter forgets about cctv camera🤣... btw I really feels sad for Nico as she spend all alone during the party... overall a solid 7 out of 10🙌

Dr Strange seemed to come to the realization that he wasn't supposed to be in this universe, especially at this point because he seemed to recognize that Peter was about to be bitten, almost like the prime directive forbids interference with a young civilization. It made me wonder if he knew this universe, like if he had been there before?

I really enjoyed the show so far. It reminds me of when I use to watch the old one as a kid. I also love all the MCU twist along the way. Since this show started as "Tom Holland" spiderman and was changed along the way. My guess is season one was already done.

While being a different universe it definitely heavily mirrors the 616 universe. Like I still think much of the events leading up to the events of the spider bite happened to Peter in the 616. The creative director stated the universe diverges after the sakovia accords
Honestly was hoping to watch MCU Peter's origin story like it was propose several years ago when they announced the animated series. But I think there's less room to work around and this is more like Spider-Man What IF series. Pretty good so far tbh, get to know a bunch of new characters that I didnt know about from previous movies and animated series.
I'm excited to see how this origin story affects Spiderman's moral philosophy since Ben dying while he had powers and didn't stop the person who killed Uncle Ben, reinforces his uncles lesson of with great power comes great responsibility. Like where will the guilt aspect that reinforces his guiding philosophy be? Will someone else die to reinforce that?
My question is did Peter still learn his big lesson since Uncle Ben died before Peter got the powers? What's to stop Peter for profiting from saving people. Like Harry tried to pay him in the first episode and Peter turned it down. Probably just because he's a good person I guess. Could be like Tom's situation where he learns the lesson in NWH. Just something I noticed at the start of this. Overall, I dig the animation style and like the web swinging

I think the spider will eventually bite the person (Eddie Brock?) who becomes blended with the symbiote. Connors said she was trying to make a power source, and Peter says like Stark's arc reactor. Not repulsor rays.
I actually liked it so far. The animation does take sometime getting used to, but i had no complaints. THey did change several of characters ethnicity, but i don't mind that either.
As someone who was kinda skeptical about this series, the first episode was pretty damn fun imo. Seeing Peter be excused from class so he can go stop that truck? That's the Peter I love :D
Doctor Strange’s spell from Sacred Timeline will affect this timeline which opens the door for Spider-Man 4 (Tobey) & the Amazing Spider-Man 3 (Garfield)
Three things I hate about this: 1) the spider bite comes from a mystical battle against a symbiote... so Venom's powers aren't t developed from imitating Peter, Peter owes his powers to either the symbioted or Doctor Strange. 2) we're reinforcing the MCU narrative that a working class super genius can't design and build a decent suit, they need a tech billionaire to really become Spidey... which is such a depressing illustration of how opportunity looked to boomer kids in the 60s compared to now. 3) The spiderman voice actor has announced he was initially worried the series would be too 'woke'.... ahhhh. Hudson: you're not my Spider-Man. 'Woke' is social aware and wanting to help others regardless of race, religion, etc. These qualities are the heart of Peter Parker's DNA. If the actor doesn't get that he doesn't deserve to voice our boy.
Pretty sure the spider ends up on Peter's bag. Also pretty sure May picks the bag, or is the one who takes it. I'd like to think they might do something like they did to Tombstone in the Game Spider-man 2.
There were a lot of things I felt were weird or off about this show but there were also many things that were great. I'm definitely going to be watching every episode on release day!
I've never understood to mechanical Web shooters. Because without them he's just strong and sticks to walls so he only calls himself spiderman because of the webs shooters. He made for himself. I'd like to see a version of Peter Parker who is using the web shooters without the spider bite
I love the show honestly, weird but cool direction that they are going in and I fully support them because it’s a cartoon. Now if it was a movie things would be a little off but this is the perfect series to me
I really enjoyed the first two episodes and can't wait to see where they go with the story. Between this show, what if and X-MEN 97 marvel is crushing with the animated shows. It's like I'm a kid again back in the 90s.

Three things I hate about this: 1) the spider bite comes from a mystical battle against a symbiote... so Venom's powers aren't t developed from imitating Peter, Peter owes his powers to either the symbioted or Doctor Strange.
2) we're reinforcing the MCU narrative that a working class super genius can't design and build a decent suit, they need a tech billionaire to really become Spidey... which is such a depressing illustration of how opportunity looked to boomer kids in the 60s compared to now.
3) The spiderman voice actor has announced he was initially worried the series would be too 'woke'.... ahhhh. Hudson: you're not my Spider-Man. 'Woke' is social aware and wanting to help others regardless of race, religion, etc. These qualities are the heart of Peter Parker's DNA. If the actor doesn't get that he doesn't deserve to voice our boy.
Pretty sure the spider ends up on Peter's bag. Also pretty sure May picks the bag, or is the one who takes it.
I'd like to think they might do something like they did to Tombstone in the Game Spider-man 2.
There were a lot of things I felt were weird or off about this show but there were also many things that were great. I'm definitely going to be watching every episode on release day!

I've never understood to mechanical Web shooters. Because without them he's just strong and sticks to walls so he only calls himself spiderman because of the webs shooters. He made for himself. I'd like to see a version of Peter Parker who is using the web shooters without the spider bite

I really enjoyed the first two episodes and can't wait to see where they go with the story. Between this show, what if and X-MEN 97 marvel is crushing with the animated shows. It's like I'm a kid again back in the 90s.
