Technically you're walking in MGM for a lot longer than you think since they own half of Vegas the other half is caesars and caesars palace is Huge as well
Love it here! You pretty much have everything you need all in one place..pool is awesome.. the only negative thing I can say is the lazy river closes too early .. also hit a jackpot ! 🎉
MGM always has a special place in my heart...Even if I haven't stayed there is years, it's always my first!!! This was the epitome of Vegas decades ago... Jus so BIG, almost 'GRAND' amazing large check in, huge floor, multiple pools, fast food to the best restaurant. I understand the size is not for everyone... but if YOU REALLY WANT TO EXPERIENCE VEGAS, this is the place!
Hi Jorge; that was a great review! I began staying at the MGM for at least 23 years ago! I love it, as being one of the original resorts on the Strip. I then fell in love with The Signature at MGM Grand, the one bedroom suite balcony has awesome views from Tower One of the Strip, and will blow your mind! There is nothing else like it; listening to the city at night and watching the lights and even the air traffic, just being outside! Walk the bridge from The Signature to MGM's The District, and then out to the Strip. The next time you go there, stop and grab the hot wings at Tap Sports Bar. Trust me. CAB 😊
The only real issue with MGM is being almost the very last hotel on the strip, though it's a perk it's close to all that retail when you forget your toothbrush or want to load up on the booze.
So I have been staying at the MGM for like the last 10 years, and have been getting a stay well room since it's inception I guess. You cant beat the comfort. Beds are comfortable, the heppa filter helps with my allergies, i sleep better. The Vitamin C infused shower really does make your skin feel better not so dry. International smoke has the most amazing Korean Prime Rib Short Rib, with rice and kimchi on the side. I had a smoke infused old fashioned, great drink. Tom Colichios Craftsteak is my wife and myselfs go to steakhouse. I used to go to the pool, but as I get older I prefer to stay away from the crowds. The Grand Wok is a very good restaurant. The buffet has gone down since covid, but you can always get a good breakfast there. Wolfgang Pucks is also very good. Gambling has been bad last 2 trips, but thats been everywhere. All the casinos have tightened up the machines, and raised table limits, to where most people wont play anymore table games. But the MGM has always been one of our favorite resorts to stay at for all of our trips the last few years. I will be back there in September on a guys trip. Great video, good reviews and you captured the essence of the resort.
“Best all around hotel” Coolist said the exact same thing about a year ago about the MGM Grand. Thx for the video! Thinking about staying here for an upcoming trip
I stayed here a few years ago. It's a great property but the walk to the room was just a bit too much for me to want to stay again. Last week I was staying in a StayWell room in another property and it's the first time in 20 or so trips to Vegas that I have woken up not feeling dehydrated due to the AC being on all night. I'll be booking them specifically in future.
I used to love MGM Grand, but I walked through it in April and it smelled strongly like ashtrays and regret. No attempt to freshen that air in the casino is a no for me. 😩 The positive I see here is they actually have the advertised Stay Well diffuser in the room, unlike Aria which removed them almost as quickly as they installed them. But then you said the room smelled like sushi, soooo yikes! Still some cool things to do there, I just won't hang in that casino. Also the monorail is SO run down now - the stations are cracked and sad. Hopefully one day the city will get all that updated.
MGM is super crowded. Lots of families with children, dogs and crying babies. Lots of walking to get to anything and then expect long and very slow lines. Very noisy in the hotel hallways all day and night. Had to run the shower for 5 minutes before the water got warm.
Nah. We use to stay at MGM Grand exclusively but the service has been subpar lately. Wolfgang Puck. My salad was sandy and my steak skewers had had on them. The manager could care less. Not a huge fan of their slot selection and layout either. Love the lazy river and pool area though. Aria is our go-to property now.
I enjoy staying at the MGM Signature in a one bedroom 950 square foot room with two bathrooms, kitchen, and a balcony. Non gaming but full use of the MGM pool. Great videos, thank you.
I always considered the MGM to be a little underrated by a lot of folks. Always enjoyed staying there. Yes it's big, but everything in Vegas is big and there is a multitude of options in the hotel so the size comes with some benefits. You are correct on the the buffet, it's a definite pass.
I stayed there in 2021. Loved the pool area. We stayed at Park MGM in May of this year. We foolishly thought we could go to the pools at MGM Grand and we couldn't 😢. Saw the Jabbawockeez twice in 2021 and once this year LOVED the show each time. Also ate at International Smoke. Great food. Next time I come back I'm booking at MGM Grand just for the pool alone 😊
I stayed there when it first opened and I still have a photo of myself with The Wizard of Oz statues that are gone now. I also have an OZ pin I wear occasionally.
I usually stay at park unless I get extra comps I will take them to NYNY. just caught the knights big win last week! was amazing. Need to come back asap! glad you shared this video, I never really hang at MGM!
Thorough review of one of the original mega resorts. $30 for a margarita at the pool? Well at least you had the $50 meal credit, not sure if it covers bar drinks. The multiple pools are the reason so many travelers stay there during pool season. Shows looked awesome. Desserts at Craftsteak looked too good to be true- wow! Thanks for the tour.
$30 does sound like a lot, but he does say later that it was 32 ounces, which is about 3 regular margaritas at a regular bar, so it’s a reasonable price for the amount of drink.
@@mmasque2052 it's not though, they're not actually a full pour of liquor. If you go to the cabana and order yourself you can watch them make it and it's all automated pours. It's not worth 30 bucks. On a standard "fifth" of Bacardi they make 245 dollars a bottle which retails at consumer price for 13 dollars so their net profit on that bottle is around 230 bucks. Lmao. Between all of the main pools and Wet Republic they are selling easily a thousand of these 30 dollar drinks a day. Not to mention 8 dollars for a can of beer they paid less than 1.00 for. I get profit but it's straight gouging with the "you're in vegas" excuse attached to it. They could cut prices, make people happier and not feel ripped off and still profit immensely but it'll just get worse
MGM properties have entered the stage of "nickle and dime our customers to death". Just 10 years ago it was absolutely feasible to stay at the property, eat on site at the property for the majority of your meals and still go home feeling like the money you spent was worth the stay. That is not the case now. I'm sure this is probably the case with all the competing major properties ie: Wynn, Caesars - but I only gamble at MGM properties for the sole purpose of using my yearly earned comps at the properties to minimize the wallet shock. Just myself and my son for breakfast on property it is no less than 35-45 dollars JUST TO EAT BREAKFAST on property restaurants. This was pancakes and a burger. Lmao. I don't expect to go to Vegas and not spend. I also don't expect to go to Vegas and spend 20 dollars on pancakes and sausage. The pool is wonderful, especially the lazy river - my kid loves it. 8 dollars for a can of beer? Ridiculous. The margarita you bought in your video? 30 dollars. LMFAO. If you have zero comps available your out of pocket expense while eating and drinking ON PROPERTY is gonna be 175-200 dollars a day. Thats what i was spending in accrued comps with just myself and my kid and we only ate breakfast and dinner and spent the majority of the day at the pool. The only reasonable cost at the pool were the nachos and chicken tenders. They are more than enough for 2 people to enjoy for the price. I hate that i sound like Scrooge McDuck but a middle class family can't reasonably expect to go to Vegas and not come home feeling broke and that just shouldn't happen and didn't happen until the last 3-5 years.
Are those the same Jabbawockeez guys who've been around for nearly 20 years? Aren't they getting a little long in the tooth by now? Gonna be the Jabbawheeleez soon. 👨🦽👨🦽👨🦽
The original crew pretty much just run the business and have a younger crew that dances even some of their kids are in the crew... The OGs will show up but you probably have to pay a lot more
The only thing I dislike about MGM, is it’s just too big. Lots of walking. Takes about 15 minutes to walk down to the Uber station from room.
Soooo truue
@@Vegas-Must-Try I think that's a plus.

Orale, Jorge. Always wondered about that hotel. Good details, bro. Good job. Salud 🍻
Thanks for watching!
I went to the Jabawockeez show in Vegas last year. I sat 2nd row. They were amazing!!!
Yeah that was fun

First time I went to MGM I didn't leave for 2 days lol... Place is huge
I'm still there

Great video as always Jorge! Is there anything on affordable restaurants on strip? The hotel restaurants seem crazy expensive! Thanks😊
There's a couple of cheap spots on the strip but I'd say Ellis Island is the best
