I always add cooked rice in bone broth to prevent any soft stool.
My previous two dogs were on Kirkland natures domain for a while and lived to 16. We switched to blue buffalo after seeing it was "better" for the dogs. Was doing Blue Buffalo for about 6 months... all three of my dogs had soft stool/diarrhea. Switched to Kirkland natures domain (grain free) and all three have had solid poo's.
Thanks for the input. I find it kind of crazy that a store brand is doing better then the premium brands, but it is what it is.

Actually Costco makes sure Costco dog food is good and personaly I feed Kirkland and it's great for all My rescues
We had a similar problem (recently) with Blue Buffalo and our 12 year old GSD... bad diarrhea - poor guy was so embarrassed when he had accidents in the house. I will give this a try! Thanks for the video!

We just switched to the Kirkland brand after our national brand increased to $70/bag (vs $36 Kirkland.) The dogs LOVE it. We've always had a problem with one being a picky eater. No more! Everything is great on the other end too. When comparing ingredients we didn't see a difference.
I know, right?! I have been using the Kirkland brand for almost a year now and it is great. Better than dogfood that is twice the price. I had a hard time justifying the $60 a year membership, but I am saving that after just two months of buying dogfood.
My shepard has the same tummy issues... Kirkland is the best dog food out there. I raised mine on royal canin German shepherd blend...til I did some research. look at the first 4 ingredients. Should be at least 3 of 4 or 3 of 5 should be meat. Meat is best, then meat meal, then meat by products... costco is 35$. Also give your dog a tablespoon of pumpkin in the kibble. I live in south dakota and drive 2.5 hours to costco for dog food...

i wonder if the similar food at BJs (their brand) is as effective....i went through the dog food thing with my lab.....apoquel meds, grain free, no corn, real chicken dog food, probiotics, vitamin C, yogurt.....i have been down that road.....he has since moved on but the store brand food helped tremendously and I eliminated all the extra stuff and just kept him on the apoquel at 2.50 a pill and the dog food...he did way better with the higher quality, less filler dog foods....good tips, thanks

Plenty of good thoughts. All three of my dogs are still doing great on the food. Their coats look great and they are still having good bowel movements.
