So I’m new to the bully community. I have a 6.5mo old XL Bully. When I got him as a pup he was on Victor… I recently tried the all raw diet but seems like he was losing weight. Idk if I wasn’t feeding him enough or what. I’m learning. I started him back on his Victor today 9/28/22 but I would like to do a mix between the Victor & Raw until I know exactly what I’m doing. This video did help me a lot tho. Victor seems like it’s pretty good. He’s currently on the Blue bag of Victor but I’ll definitely be switching him to that other bag that I saw with like the 92% something thanks to this video. Thanks so much. This video helped me alot
Thanks for the review on these foods and the input! Great video. I recently switched both of my pit bulls from Taste of the Wild to Victor Hi Pro Plus! Not only for the ingredients, but also the price. The 50lb or 40lb are priced better and you get more product for the price than you do with TOTW.
@@QBNKennel you’re breakdown on the ingredients with the crude protein and crude fat were very helpful also. The Taurine ingredient stood out also. Thanks again
Gotta watch out on grain free bags Peas, garbanzo, lentils, potatoes... one or two maybe ok depending on whatever else may be included in the kibble. Those ingredients are key to be linked to DCM. Personally I stay away, ancient grains seem better choice if you still like some grains, those to be quinoa, chia, flaxseed, millet, oat groats.
Victor is definitely a decent food, one thing some people might want to keep in mind with the Hi-Pro formula is that it has really high calcium and phosphorous levels, that might be some concern if you're feeding it long-term to a young large breed puppy. A better formula to consider if you're worried about that is their Professional (purple bag) or High Energy (red bag) formulas. Also, corn itself isn't necessarily bad if your dog isn't sensitive to it. 🙂 Some of the hardest working dog athletes (mushing/sled dogs) eat corn-based foods such as Redpaw and Inukshuk. I wouldn't go feeding your dogs whole corn, but corn, if broken down and formulated correctly makes a good source of nutrients and carbohydrates. I feed my working Malinois Pro Plan Sport Salmon and Rice 30/20 (adults over 1 yr) and Sport Lamb and Rice 27/17 (puppies
good u mentioned the calcium levels which he missed out. for large breeds 1.4 percent is a good amount . lower is not enough and higher van cause joint problems. p
I've heard that Victor has a special selenium yeast and if you try to switch your dog off of it it will cause serious runs. Diarrhea. The ingredients dont look the best either but I guess if you had several dogs to feed the price is reasonable. I'm no expert, it's just something to watch for if your feeding that brand.
I got the diamond naturals today based on your video. I read the ingredients it was a clear choice. I’ll let you know how it does. I was about to get more victor until I read the nutrition information.
For working retrievers, I feed the highest fat, highest protein kibble on the market: Red Paw Poweredge 32k. First ingredient is menhaden. A favorite kibble among mushers up here in interior Alaska. Expensive but worth it...525 kcal/cup.
This video was great! Gives me something to look into before even going to the store! Our dogs seem to struggle with anything that contains chicken, so I'll be looking for a different formula soon. Thanks Raul! 👍

@@QBNKennel I have South African boerboels, just had a litter in january. Two of my pups are on the barf diet with two women and those pups at just over 7 months now are close to 120 plus pounds. The other ones are on kibble and are probably 100 lb or less. They all look good but that barf diet maximizes their potential
Thanks for the video and information! I’ve been thinking about trying something new with my boy, but I don’t see a reason to switch him off of the Victor hi-pro just yet. Thank you for saving me some experimentation lol
Hello sir, i feed raw mixed with kibble everyday. Ive seen posts saying during winter u should only feed kibble bcuz it digest slower which keeps the dogs body warm. What do u recommend i feed my dog during winter? My dog is almost 2 yrs old about 50lbs and 26inches. Half xl bully half cane corso
Great video, thank you for the abundance amount of knowledge, I notice you mention how important is crude fat, so I notice sportmix canine x is higher than Victor but Victor is your # 1 feed? Is it better or your opinion.

@@QBNKennel thank you for the link ! Also want to add , I wonder if adding Taurine to grain free dog foods is the answer ? Not after what I’ve learned ! And why is it so hard to find a good dog food we can trust , without having to pay a billion dollars for a 20 lbs bag ? Much love QBNK fam !
The good news is my American Bully is no longer in heart failure! Prayers, my families love and dedication and the veterinarian cardiologist, The reason she has to be on meds for the rest of her life is because of the damage that the DCM caused . The heart studies she was in was an FDA heart study . The veterinarian cardiologist confirmed that Accana grain free feedings for 6 years is what caused the DCM . That in fact the DCM was not cause because of hereditary. If it was hereditary she would have never of come back from the DCM.
Yeah bro definitely keeping it real I’m glad you made an updated video a lot of people have been asking for it I cannot believe that particular bag of dog food was the worst out of every single one of them that blows my mind that’s why it’s best just to stick to a Raw diet holy crap lol

Hey Mr Raul, I’m grateful for this video right here. I’ve been giving my boy Diamond Natural Lamb & Rice puppy food for months now as per recommendation from TopDog (where I got him from) and my vet aswell, but the past month or so he’s barely touching it by itself, he won’t really eat unless I mix in something with it like Pumpkin, or if I do a raw mix of stuff like neck bones, chicken gizzards, chicken and rice, or ground beef, I think he might be fatigued from the flavor and may want something new, should I go with that Hi Pro Plus Victor feed? Or maybe the Nutra plus Victor? He just turned 9 months old yesterday for reference. I’d appreciate a response sir 🙏
Appreciate your response. Fam I’m in no position to recommend. I will say I do give Victor Hi-Pro to my pups. You seen the video, I say rewatch and learn what to look for.
Awesome video and very informative. I stop feeding my boy kibbles due to him having constant dirrehea or wet poop when he was a pup all the way when he was 6 months. Then I watch your videos and Sincere gio and found out about Raw feeding and I was able to come up with a healthy balance raw for my boy. I've done a ton of research before I started to feed him raw, I did not want to F with bones and growth. But now No more dirrehea, coat is shining and he is LOOKING GREAT! I would recommend everybody to feed raw but I'm going to saying this..RAW FEEDING CAN BE EXPENSIVE!
I only feed my pup orijen original as far as kibble goes. She's 9 weeks old now and I'm starting to transition her to Raw. She's had 3 Raw meals so far and seems to love it! I'm kinda wondering though, why the egg shells are not digesting?? She has little chunks of shell in her stool. Not alot but enough to get my attention
Are you grinding the shells before you add them to the food? If not, grind them into a powder before you feed them. Some people bake them in the oven a little bit first to kill any bacteria that are on them.
Wish you would’ve did a review on the brand ‘Instinct’. That’s what I feed my bully and it has great crude fat and crude protein percentages. Also a grain free product.
I contacted Cornell and this is the recommended levels for large breed dogs Protein 20-32 Calcium .7- 1.2 Phosphorus .6 - 1.1 Crude Fat 14 max Fiber 5 max
Very nice video, I was wondering if you have your top 3 picks. Im from Europe and we dont have all the same brands and they actually show 0 ingredienst so im gonna order off Amazon. Thanks in advance amigo!
I recently changed my dog to a 50/50 raw/kibble diet. Would it be a better idea to go with the higher grain % victor brand? Raw mix is ground veggies, chicken heart, gizzard, liver, bones. Thanks
You can. I give my opinions Sundays at 10 AM on our interactive LiveStream. We answer all member questions. Membership is $5 a month. You can ask away there.
Hey sorry to bother you bro but they just recalled victor that’s what I was giving my dog I have an Isabella frenchie… what other dog food would you recommend I could give my dog??
Hello, I’m new to the Bully community as I’ve purchased my first Bully XL puppy and I’ve been trying to get him as healthy as stalky as possible without any weight training (strictly through dieting/exercise). I’ve struggled finding the best food for him. Any thoughts on BullyMax? I recently subscribed to them and have my puppy’s food on the way. Just wanted some advice from someone who been down this road many times. Thanks!
Great info in this video but for those that really wanna dig deep keep digging. Most if not all of the kibble shown here is chalk full of carbs and synthetic vitamin packs
The black bag of Victor was 2 rich for my 6 month bully, I had 2 cut it with puppy chow. Bowel movement was still a little loose so I backed it down 2 the Victor professional
We found Purina One "True Instinct" Beef & Bison to be really good. Our dogs seem to like it, and we throw some extra toppings on it every once an a while too like dehydrated banana or sweet potatoes👍
Diamond Puppy is awesome it's like 32 protein and I believe 21 fats, I also use sportmix 24/20 whichever I used I mix it bag for bag with hi protein Retriever which is 27 protein & 15 fats
Great video. Definitely learned alot. Wish you could've gone more in depth on 4health tho. I doesn't get the attention it truly deserves. It's a great brand and I would highly recommend it to any Dimond Naturals users
Victor Hi-Pro Plus with Dyne is what I use. My Blue Nose is 19 weeks 50 lbs, his coat is shiny and he's very active and muscular. I'm still looking around for something better without going to a raw diet even though this is working out just fine, might switch him to a raw diet when he's over 6 months but for now do you have any recommendations on something better than Victor?
Was using Victor Professional, noticed my dog was breaking out and after reading and talking to people thought it may be a chicken fat allergy. Switched to Yukon River canine salmon and everything cleared up, no issues and pups skin and coat looks amazing. Based on the video may try the nutra pro for the protein % and supplement with more omegas 3/6.
Man fam, if we could get your full and honest opinion on (ketona natural) dog food? This video I really digged among many of others. Keep doing your thing my dude 😎

Perfect timing, just bought a beautiful Tri colored female bully, she is 8 wks old, what's the best food kibble or can food to feed her? Thanks in advance.
Id like to put my dog on the barf diet. But i always see beef, chicken. Which im told my dog is allergic too. We have him on fish kibble. How can i go about changing my dog to barf?
@@QBNKennel hello from Bulgaria, Sir. Can I go on a raw diet from 5th month of the puppy? Ive watched your videos and ill use your recipes, in the videos you suggest for a puppy to give chicken leg, whole. My question is, are the bones from the leg dangerous? In Bulgaria best kibble I can get is Orijen, we dont have Victor, perhaps we can think of an import option?
Thank you so much for trying to make some sense out of buying pet food. I also appreciate you saying that you have no training in nutrition or are a veterinarian...I like that. I think you might be a victim of pet food marketing when you assume that the % of fat means that the % of protein is from animal sources. Animal fat is a commonly added fat in the form of chicken fat, so it doesn't mean that the protein sources are animal. Also beware that animal fat is the ingredient that could become rancid with time. They try to fight this by adding more preservatives and stabilizers. But at least you try and study the ingredients, more than I can say for many. In America, there is a poor understanding of nutrition not only in dogs but in humans too. This can be noted by our obesity percentages throughout the country, with the mid-west and southern diets being the poorest. To add to your credibility the tocopherols are pronounced toe-cough-ferols. I am a human nutritionist and physician. Thank you for the video, I watched it til the end.
Just got an xl bully 8 week pup After seeing a vet turns out she's underweight at 9 lbs and has worms. Vet gave her dewormor and prevention pill. Fam what kibble do you recommend to ensure my pup gets back up to healthy weight without compromising her joints? -Mario
Raul great video very educational! A insight to most popular kibbles in this game but I gotta ask what your thoughts on Purina one lamb rice meal 26% protein 16% crude fat biggest flaw i seen in ingredients is rice flour but has real lamb, glucosamine, and omega6 fatty acids price at 45$ 40lbs bag what’s your overall opinion on price, protein, and ingredients if you could give it quick google for me fam 🙏
Looking to switch over dog food. I currently use Bully Max but the shipping is expensive for the amount of food. They have been eating lamb. I have two 9 month old pockets. I would like to stick with lamb. Any suggestions from anyone? I seen victor was good.
Hey 👋 what you think 🤔 about Pure real salmon and sweet potato. I have a havanese and toy poodle 🐩 they both are on this. Due to always licking on paws especially my havanese. This has helped with that so much. Just want to know your thoughts.?
In my opinion I feel like Blue Buff is a name brand hype, and you can get the same quality maybe better for much less of a price, like Victor for instance. I use to give my dogs Victor when not eating raw, but have recently changed over to the Tractor Supply brand which I feel works great, and comes at an amazing price. My dogs seem to love it so far
Great review of the terrible choices for dog food at Tractor supply. Wouldn’t feed any seen in this video. When comparing prices you should use the price per feeding not price per pound.
New bully owner and seeing your vids made me change the kibble I feed my dog. Have him on victor the past couple of months and I can see now the quality of food versus the price to go cheap goes a long way.
So the kibble we use wasn't reviewed but judging by your video it does better than these high price brands. Thought about switching but after this video I don't see a need to. Although I would like to get them away from the wheat and other allergens.
Wow what a great video so well thought out and it was very educational. Thank you so much. I think my most vets give you false information. If you ask your vet what to feed your dog and they prescribe science diet or any other prescription food, look for another vet. You are simply $$$ to them and they are not concerned with your dogs well-being. Corn and grain is not good for dogs. Barf is best but not always practical.
Nutri Source Trout is the food I use, and going off all the information you give in this video, it's a good all around dog food, even including price per lb

I contacted Cornell and this is the recommended levels for large breed dogs
Protein 20-32
Calcium .7- 1.2
Phosphorus .6 - 1.1
Crude Fat 14 max
Fiber 5 max
Very nice video, I was wondering if you have your top 3 picks. Im from Europe and we dont have all the same brands and they actually show 0 ingredienst so im gonna order off Amazon. Thanks in advance amigo!
Great video. Thank you. I use the wholesome skin and sensitive stomach any advice on what I can add to it. Thanks in advance
Keep watching. Maybe I will show some mixes
I recently changed my dog to a 50/50 raw/kibble diet. Would it be a better idea to go with the higher grain % victor brand? Raw mix is ground veggies, chicken heart, gizzard, liver, bones. Thanks

Hey sorry to bother you bro but they just recalled victor that’s what I was giving my dog I have an Isabella frenchie… what other dog food would you recommend I could give my dog??
Hello,
I’m new to the Bully community as I’ve purchased my first Bully XL puppy and I’ve been trying to get him as healthy as stalky as possible without any weight training (strictly through dieting/exercise).
What should i be feeding my puppy ?
The black bag of Victor was 2 rich for my 6 month bully, I had 2 cut it with puppy chow. Bowel movement was still a little loose so I backed it down 2 the Victor professional
Thanks for Sharing
We found Purina One "True Instinct" Beef & Bison to be really good. Our dogs seem to like it, and we throw some extra toppings on it every once an a while too like dehydrated banana or sweet potatoes👍
💪🏽💯
Diamond Puppy is awesome it's like 32 protein and I believe 21 fats, I also use sportmix 24/20 whichever I used I mix it bag for bag with hi protein Retriever which is 27 protein & 15 fats
💪🏽💯
Great video. Definitely learned alot. Wish you could've gone more in depth on 4health tho. I doesn't get the attention it truly deserves. It's a great brand and I would highly recommend it to any Dimond Naturals users
💪🏽💯
Look into the resources Dr Judy Morgan, Ian billinghurst, Conor Brady, have.
So which one do you recommend
Was using Victor Professional, noticed my dog was breaking out and after reading and talking to people thought it may be a chicken fat allergy. Switched to Yukon River canine salmon and everything cleared up, no issues and pups skin and coat looks amazing. Based on the video may try the nutra pro for the protein % and supplement with more omegas 3/6.
💪🏽💯
Man fam, if we could get your full and honest opinion on (ketona natural) dog food? This video I really digged among many of others. Keep doing your thing my dude 😎
Most definitely
Great video. Your opinion on Bully Max dog food?
Thinking about switching from Victor hi-pro to Diamond naturals all life stages.. thoughts?
I gave you the info in this video. Learn from it and make your decision
I’m a fan of Diamond naturals. Dogs have firm, not to stinky, and less gas than when they were on victor
I got 1 year old rottweiler and I got him on Victor but what food do you recommend should I put him on far as dry food
Taste of the wild is about the best in my opinion. Everything pretty much natural and real.
Absolutely it is not 😂
What do you think about bully max dry kibble 30/20?
Victor hi pro plus, has done great for my pup.
I give it to my pups initially
I never thought about corn or soymeal being high allergens before. I appreciate the information. Thanks!
Thank you Raul you helped me learn an find great kibble for my dog

Perfect timing, just bought a beautiful Tri colored female bully, she is 8 wks old, what's the best food kibble or can food to feed her? Thanks in advance.
For y'all having trouble with finding quality kibble try Essence it's expensive but you get what you pay for
What’s the best can dog food to feed my pocket bully
Carna4
Id like to put my dog on the barf diet. But i always see beef, chicken. Which im told my dog is allergic too. We have him on fish kibble. How can i go about changing my dog to barf?
Check out our BARF Diet Video
@@QBNKennel hello from Bulgaria, Sir. Can I go on a raw diet from 5th month of the puppy? Ive watched your videos and ill use your recipes, in the videos you suggest for a puppy to give chicken leg, whole. My question is, are the bones from the leg dangerous? In Bulgaria best kibble I can get is Orijen, we dont have Victor, perhaps we can think of an import option?
Beet pulp is also used as a filler. If there is enough of it in the food, it can give a black coated dog a redish tinge, visible in sunlight.
Excellent excellent point
Do you recommend acana whole grain dog food, looks like good ingrediand cuude protein and crude fat, your thoughts
I started my dogs on the 4health strive for the winter
Just got an xl bully 8 week pup After seeing a vet turns out she's underweight at 9 lbs and has worms. Vet gave her dewormor and prevention pill. Fam what kibble do you recommend to ensure my pup gets back up to healthy weight without compromising her joints?
-Mario
Rewatch this video. I speak on pups
I will have to add it to next video
@@QBNKennel would be much appreciated 💯
Looking to switch over dog food. I currently use Bully Max but the shipping is expensive for the amount of food. They have been eating lamb. I have two 9 month old pockets. I would like to stick with lamb. Any suggestions from anyone? I seen victor was good.
Hey 👋 what you think 🤔 about Pure real salmon and sweet potato. I have a havanese and toy poodle 🐩 they both are on this. Due to always licking on paws especially my havanese. This has helped with that so much. Just want to know your thoughts.?
Have to check it out
@@QBNKennel okay don’t forget let me know your thoughts on it.
Look up on RUclips the tattooed dog trainer
high prairie, grain free also has roasted bison and venison as well as beef
What causes loose stool in dogs? I bought a small bag of dog food and a large tin of pedigree and mix it
What about the Costco brand dog food remember a friend of mine she had a dog kennel and that's what she used with her dogs.
What do you think about bullymax dog food?
Definitely puts things into perspective and will make me double check the kibble I’m using
💪🏽💯💪🏽💯
Great job. Your video was very informative much better than most.
🙏💪🏽💯
Great review of the terrible choices for dog food at Tractor supply. Wouldn’t feed any seen in this video. When comparing prices you should use the price per feeding not price per pound.
What do you think about Diamond natural extreme athlete?
Just switched back over to Victor hi pro plus until the summer then we going to raw for the first time
New bully owner and seeing your vids made me change the kibble I feed my dog. Have him on victor the past couple of months and I can see now the quality of food versus the price to go cheap goes a long way.
What you go with
Whats ur thoughts on Bully Max? I use it for both of my dogs, its kinda pricey tho
How good is Fromm?
What’s your opinion on mixing sport mix with victor high protein for adult bully’s?
I used to do that before in order to reduce price
So the kibble we use wasn't reviewed but judging by your video it does better than these high price brands. Thought about switching but after this video I don't see a need to. Although I would like to get them away from the wheat and other allergens.
Up to you. This video gives you enough insight to make an educated decision
@@QBNKennel I am going to try HI Point 24/20. According to your video great value for only $29.99 for 50 pounds
Big fan! Love the content!
💪🏽💯
Whats the best kibble for frenchies
Thankyou
Fur these informative vids❤❤❤
💪🏽💯
so whats the best one to feed cl bully
Nutri Source Trout is the food I use, and going off all the information you give in this video, it's a good all around dog food, even including price per lb
Opinion on that canine x I see in the background?
