i actually missed this race last year, but compared to this place and monaco, it seems much wider with a few places that look like good overtaking places (but i know that depends on the use of these corners and whether there is any usefull grip offline). however i still think the barriers discourage the slightlly riskier overtaking moves (outbrake yourself even by a fairly small margin and there's a very good chance your race could be over)

This treck for f1!!!! I played it in toca race driver and it's good!!
yes, i agree, the new regs have shaken things up a bit (or a lot) the malaysian gp was the best i've seen in years, lots of overtaking! btw, go Jenson! (i've been a fan of his for years.)
Yeah Jenson is a world-class driver and deserves a shot like this. He would make a worthy world champion, so let's hope Brawn keep it together! It's great to see Brawn vs Toyota in the constructors too, cus both teams have been working hard. I hope Toyota win a race soon too. My Ferrari boys need to get their asses off the gutter.
I had tears in my eyes when I went to the Indy and heard these cars racing for the first time. The power was simply overwhelming. I felt for the drivers who put their lives at risk, in pursuit of such power because, deep in their hearts what they are really longing for is to be a partaker of the power of God's heavenly Kingdom. Only Jesus Christ can give eternal life.
valencia and singapore are two of my favourite tracks but i defendly agree with you on monaco being a real street circuit - just all the politics and how wide the track has to be unfournately these days :/
If you don't get what is going on look at the convo. Second or third what? Are you sure you replied to the correct message? I thought you were saying in his 2nd or third year, Bourdais would do alright in F1 as that is what the original comment everyone is replying to is about. I mentioned that Bourdais has already been sacked in F1 so his second or third year in F1 is in doubt. Capiche?
These aren't F1's and this isn't the australian GP this is the indy 300 at the gold, Indy cars race their (it used to be champ cars like the cars in this vid). The Aus GP is in melbourne which has a lot more overtaking spots. Though i think F1 should race up at the gold coast, the atmosphere would be better than melbourne.
Lovely track! So narrow and fast. simply great, I want to see this course in Formula 1, instead of boring Bahrain or sepang circuits and all that crap.
The Valencia race was actually quite uneventful to be honest; Massa won from pole and it had far from the most overtaking of the season. Still, I think it's no fault of the track (can't be worse than Monaco) and it has perhaps the most run off area for a street circuit, so we'll see with the new regs this year. Though when it comes to street circuits, IMO the best has to be Adelaide.
@mrchristian87 yes ur right ... im being hateful bcuz i like this video......n when i grow up i also wanna be a champcar ...racecar....u c how stupid that sounds??? ya just like ur comment ..im not being hateful man .. im just saying that this racetrack only has zig zags theyre not even chicanes....

bah! i hate these street circuits, always way to narrow, no run off and almost always nowhere to overtake. I especially hate monaco (even though i'm a big F1 fan)
I hate to say it, but even then this series was a joke. Cart ended in my view around 2001. The driver talent got worse and worse. Its like a feeder series for F1. Fantastic stuff! That engine sounds like a monster.

CART/Champcar was way better than F1.
Why exactly did it fail does anyone know ?

drove down the track a few days before hte race last year with my sister :P except the turns off's werent blocked, the baracades where up though.

This is more of a proper stret circuit cause there are no runoff areas...thats what makes a street curcuit so different.
Indycar take notes, we need a new chassis and more power. Indy needs to be faster and more modern, next year will make 12 years with the same chassis.

Basically Champ Car went bankrupt and merged with the IRL (current IndyCar).
@mrchristian87 ya thats probably cuz uve nvr had the chance to get ur ears blown off with the beautiful sound of a F1 engine..

Thats what I call a street circuit, the F1 should drive there instead of the boring Valencia street circuit.
Surfer's Paradise- where cars passing eachother is only a rumor.
Yeh what a circuit, shame the IRL didnt think so and left it! big mistake i think
The reason why valencia is a better track is because it isn't a proper street circuit. it's half street circuit, half purpose built race track.
