But I was shocked at Plankton's legs, it just doesn't look right, and Karen looks gorgeous in that dress.
You know..this Just reminded me of something. SpongeBob has always been a part of my childhood as well as millions world wide. Now I haven’t seen a full SpongeBob episode in years but I usually see clips occasionally on my feed. I watch those clips now and seeing the absolute decline of the Characters and the writing is absolutely transparent and sad. It’s clear that they are trying so desperately to appeal to a modern audience when the whole point of the original was that it was timeless. I remember seeing all this buzz a year or so back about how They added the “Squidward creepypasta” in one of the episodes, or bubble bass making “Meta” review style nostalgia critic skits. Which literally had an Anime cat girl in the same episodes, and The more they keep trying to expand into all these spin-off shows like Camp Koral or the Patrick show, the more it’s clear that stephen hillenburg made the right call all those years back about not wanting to go commercial. The more they expand the less we see what the original vision used to be, and the talent that went into the writing. Now if people like the Modern stuff, that’s cool. You can like whatever you want. But myself and millions of others will never forget how those old seasons used to make us feel
The show briefly went through a resurgence in quality from Season 9 to Season 12, giving us a whole new series of timeless classics. However, due to the death of Stephen Hillenburg, it has recently gone right back into a second dark age again.
Political, since I assume you seem to be some sort of fascist, I absolutely sympathize with your sentiments about old Spongebob. Everyone agrees that old Spongebob was a cultural icon because we grew up on it, and it influenced us in many ways. But taking into account that modern cartoons nowadays are not the same in which we grew up with, I think you're being a bit too cynical with this new incarnation, and why it exists to begin with. I'm not sure if you're aware, but, modern cartoons have been following a trend where now every single cartoon needs to have this soulless beanmouth design that is a literal industry standard btw, and always has the need to lecture kids on political issues that they don't understand. Basically, considering how literally every show nowadays needs to have an obligatory shoehorned LGBT character or lecture you on the most milquetoast leftist propaganda that is on par with the current narrative. Shows like Steven Universe, Craig of the Creek, Amphibia, Infinity Train, Owl House, Dead End Paranormal Park etc. All of these cartoons that have the same repulsive, soulless, character desgins from Tumblr artists that go their own way to insert their corrosive politics onto impressionable children or at the very least secrelty appeal to adults of their own cohort. Guess the only show that's on air right now that doesn't do this? Modern Spongebob. If you take a look at an average episode of modern Spongebob, you may not understand it, and I get it, it's not the same one that we grew up on, the show is definitely not dialogue-heavy, rather the visuals speak more for themselves, and I can see why you might find it obnoxious for someone who hasn't watched Ren and Stimpy, for instance. But the reason why modern Spongebob blows all of these shows out of the water is because of how unique it is in terms of its animation. Modern Spongebob has the most expressive and lively animation that you will ever see in a kids cartoon nowadays. And imo that's what cartoons are supposed to be; they're supposed to be wacky. They're supposed to be in your face, they're supposed to be goofy and nonsensical. This was the standard for the Golden Age of Animation and most of the current staff are trying to replicate that squash and stretch off-model technique because they themselves worked on other shows that revived the animation industry in the 90s. The 90s was a return to much of the standards of what defined the Golden Age of Animation. Many of the artists who grew tired of complying with strict corporate standards were given artistic freedom through different platforms that prioritized their freedom of expression. If it wasn't for these creator-driven shows, Spongebob would've never existed. Since the early 2010s, we have entered a new dark age of animation, and I'd say it is a symptom of our societal decline in general. Modern Spongebob is the only show that is revolting against the modern world. When you watch a modern episode of Spongebob, you're not gonna find any forced political messaging whatsoever. No LGBT propaganda, no troons, no pronouns, nothing of that sort. All you're gonna find is just a silly cartoon, and that's it. That's the way it's supposed to be. And despite the fact that Nickelodeon itself is still apart of pushing that ideology onto children, Spongebob is the only show on their network that doesn't, and the only show that prioritizes artistic freedom, and not holding them to the current industry standard of beanmouth Tumblr slop. Say what you want about modern Spongebob, but it is better than 99% of kids shows that are airing right now. I'm not saying that modern Spongebob is the best, I am just saying that cartoons can take a lot of notes from what modern Spongebob is doing right now. It is far from the show that it used to be, but you need to acknowledge that this is made for a new generation, and at least, with this, they won't have to rely on being indoctrinated by their millenial parents on something as gay an Steven Universe or the Powerpuff Girls reboot (a show with pedophile writers).
@@sekaiyoru01 I’m glad I got your perspective of it. Yeah I agree that a lot of modern cartoons have gotten insanely political the past few years, now as for old SpongeBob is concerned I’m completely unaware if they’ve at any point made any political statement at all in the past or did some kind of political satire, and if they did it was probably super suitable and it went over my head, but I absolutely agree with the fact that modern cartoons are trying super hard to push as much political BS as possible. And this isn’t even for cartoons but other mediums of entertainment as well I’m actually glad you brought this up because I just remembered seeing a video recently called “millennial writing”, it’s definitely a great video so I recommend checking it out whenever you get the time, But it talked about media, especially modern video games to be exact have some absolutely terrible writing. I’ll use the new Saints row and the newer Borderlands games as an example You ever noticed how when it comes to the writing they appeal to a very, very specific type of audience? Like inner city San Francisco type residents? Isn’t the whole point about diversity to get a wide range of opinions on different aspects of something? So why do these games always have the exact same characters and the exact same talking points every time? They keep on talking about Capitalism for the 5 millionth time, which they make no new arguments about, they kind of just say “capitalism bad” and move on. They talk about paying rent,or “wage slave” or some kind of “Money observation” in a way. Because it’s so relatable, amirite fellow millennials? and not just that, but the “humor” in these games all feels like it follows the same formula. They can’t go 2 seconds without making some swear word exploitive, or ironic observation humor. Absolutely no cleverness or subtlety whatsoever. And as for the insane pushing for LGBT representation goes. It’s nowhere near as obvious than the comic book industry. They appeal to an audience that don’t care about their products in the first place. It’s kind of a sad cycle >Spend years captivating a large audience to get the most amount of viewer growth >hire new “freelance writers” that absolutely despise the characters >destroy the established characters for the sake of “muh representation” >have articles write about this new groundbreaking moment in human history for lefty Twitter >Twitter check Marks clap for muh representation >doesn’t even read comics or watches anything from DC or marvel >Pander,Pander,Pander >we pandered too close to the sun >lose all your support because they don’t want to get preached at, they just want to be entertained >call everyone bigot >Lose more people >pander more >repeat Yeah it’s just insane, I find it hilarious how these people hate institutionalized, corporate, capitalism but demand corporations represent their social needs. Karen looks more attracted to her than Plankton tbh
why did i think plankton was on a mic stand until reading the comments 😭
Wth is this kid friendly nickelodeon?!
Looks like Karen has a crush on
Lmaoo SpongeBob wilding
Karen = Would
that fish = too fish Pass
Plankton looks wired with long legs
Something that is pretty funny to me is how I'll randomly come across this scene on social media and the comment section is filled with comments along the lines of "bruh they ruined Spongebob" when like no? Spongebob hasn't been good since like 2004 lmao. People are acting like all of a sudden Spongebob became bad when it has consistently been on the decline for years now.
Like do people just not remember the whole era between 2005ish - 2015ish when it was filled with gross out humor and the characters getting flanderized?
Karen's accent sounds like a stereotypical person from Wisconsin.
My friend call her Sussy fish
LOL
What happened with Karen? Why she has arms and eyes???
Wait we’re crying over a show about fish…
Just let spongebob end with dignity, please.
lesbian karen is real
1 she's plankton girlfriend
2 she was just embarrassed and impress
No
@@abcefoc1284 it's a joke, as you can tell. yes i do know that plankton is dating karen.

At least in SpongeBob are Characters 20+ not like in Powerpuff Girls 2016 young children 😨

Didnt this show end?
Nope its just being leeched off of Nickelodeon atp to make pointless brainrotting episodes for money
@@raspb3rryVR *sigh* idk what i expected them to do
Modern SpongeBob at this point is becoming the skibidi toilet of Nickelodeon the newer episodes are cringe and brainrot
I love you Spongebob I meant nerd emoji What's up
Isn‘t this Ren and Stimpy Music?
SpongeBob uses a lot of the same music Ren and Stimpy does
