Amber, I’m gonna give a crash course. The Sith Order was made centuries before the Rule Of Two was even thought of. They were the direct opposite of the Jedi Order. The two were constantly locked in war until the near destruction of both the Jedi and Sith orders. The Jedi made the new Jedi Code, forbidding love and attachments etc etc. The Sith Lord Darth Bane decided the best way for the Sith to beat the Jedi would be the Rule of Two. The apprentice being the masters hand, taking out whoever the master wants them to while the master manipulated the galaxy into causing the Jedi Orders downfall. The major success story from The Rule Of Two is, you guessed it, Darth Sidious and Darth Vader. Vader taking Starkiller as his apprentice is a major threat to Sidious since it indicates that Vader feels prepared to kill Sidious and become *the* Dark Lord of the Sith, with Starkiller as the official Sith Apprentice.
Also the rule of two would prevent further corruption.
it sucks that the jedi orber forbids love and connections
The reason why the rule of two exists is cause the siths nearly killed themselves in a war between themselves for power
Because Sith are inherently selfish so why care about an order when you can only care about yourself.
Ok thank you!
Vader wasn't trying to save Padme and their children from the Jedi, K-Wing. He had been having visions that Padme was going to die in childbirth, and in the process probably miscarry Luke and Leia as well. THAT'S why he allied with Palpatine.
Dark Jedi was a official term (until Disney ruined everything), The Sith order was created when exiled dark Jedi found the Sith species (yes a alien species called sith) who were powerful in the darkside of the force. The dark Jedi took over and the sith species dubbed their new rulers Dark Lords of the Sith and of course everything else is history. The rule of two, a philosophy wasn't created until thousands of years later by Darth Bane in reponse to the Sith orders constant in-fighting.
Iiiiii know. And Grey Jedi. I miss the old canonicity.
@@Bacontats same
@@Bacontats... eh, I miss the GOOD stuff from the old canon. There was a lot of crap I'm not sad to see gone.
@@edmg7 For sure. Not everything in the EU was amazing. But I miss how vast it was. I miss the Jedhai (Jedi) and the whole history of why things the Jedhai became the Jedi and the dark side users became the Sith, and how they were once balanced with the Ashla and Bogan. But yeah. Things change :/ and not always for the better. stupid Disney.
Purple light sabers represent Jedi that have dark emotions that use them for good reason
If you think about Revan (Darth Revan) purple lightsaber changed colour and Mace windu had and still has dark emotions but had to act on them
Yes and then with Mace Windu would have gone dark a very long time ago and I wanted that to happen then people started saying that he became Supeme leader Snoke
wrong it is a force user who uses the light and the dark
Nah, the colors don't really represent much, and anyone can use any color saber if they wanted to.
Each color USED to have meanings back in Legends, but it's no longer canon. Even then, though, the meanings we're still vague.
Amber, I just want you to know that while I know people commenting about the technical things in Star Wars is bothering you, it's just to help. I just want you to know what you're not understanding about Star Wars. I know I can't speak for everyone, but I'm not trying to correct you. I just want you to know this stuff, so people don't complain that y'all are noobs or whatever.

Shadow The Hedgehog: Choose a side and make sure you kill the right enemies.
The Force Unleashed: *KILL EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM!*
The Jedi falling in love was forbidden due to attachment then loss causing fear and rage (Anakin in episode 3) Jedi were known to break this rule many of times though but had to keep it in secret
Adam Sullivan Ki Adi Mundi had wives of his own, due to traditions of his home world demanding it and the council was fine with it. So there were ways around it, it’s just that most Jedi don’t have that excuse.
I think in that case it was because there where no passions involved.
Also, attachments are dangerous in their line of work. That's another reason.
There are good force users that are not jedi. Like Ahsoka. There aren’t many of them in the new canon though, like I can’t really recall any other people aside from Ahsoka but there was plenty of them in the old canon. I mean we can hardly call Rey a jedi because she doesn’t really know anything about the order herself even though she was kinda taught by Luke a little bit but even his knowledge about the jedi order is questionable so you know...
She read the Jedi books Luke had
Grey Jedi
One of my most favorite Grey Jedi alongside Ahsoka was Kyle Katarn. In fact Kyle's teachings to Jaden and Rosh in Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy kind of exemplifies what it means to be a Grey Jedi and Kyle's teachings were "No Force Ability both Light and Dark is inherently good or evil it all depends on how you use it.", "It's okay to feel angry but don't let it take control of you.", and finally "Both sides of the Force Light and Dark are two sides of the same spectrum but the path you go down depends on the choices you make." Because in the EU/Legends universe basically the books and comics Dark Horse did before Disney bought Lucasfilms, and Lucasarts Luke and Kyle brought back the Jedi Order but they added some reforms to make it less strict basically they allowed Younglings, Padawans, Knights, and Masters like themselves to actually feel emotions and have relationships even start families but they couldn't let the emotions control them, and both Luke and Kyle allowed powers usually associated with the Sith, and Dark Jedi like Force Lightning, and Force Grip to be studied and learned on the condition that a tempered, and controlled version was used. In fact Luke, and Kyle were known for using a controlled version of the Force Lightning known as the Emerald Lightning and the Emerald Lightning was used as a non-lethal way to stun/incapacitate living bad guys, along with being a way to take down villainous droids.
There Grey jedi dark jedi are inquizitors
I never thought I would see them play this game for some reason
We did
Well you were wrong
Kwing you need to watch revenge of the Sith again! Anakin had a vision of his wife dying in child birth Yoda was teach him to let go! The Emperor said he had the knowledge to save her life. Pavmay did not die of a force choke but broken heart
Who is Pavmay? lol
9:45 Vader didn't take him in so he could be a substitute son, he took him in because of his Force potential which Vader thought would be useful.
Yes he did but he also Missed his boy
Dark Jedi is a term that has been canon officially
The New Jedi Order books are awesome. Luke is really overpowered, Chewie gets crushed by a moon while trying to save Anakin Solo, and the books are really well written.
there are grey jedi which is what Amber is referring to which as luke said was Ashoka after she was banished
Darth Bane was the one that made the rule of two you can blame him why you don’t like it
Baby Yoda hasn’t had any info revealed about his origins. Odds are his just another member of the same species, or a lot of people point out a clone of Yoda.
As people realized that officer that assigned the task has a clone facility symbol on his uniform.
Baby Yoda Isn’t Yoda’s son, he is just of yoda’s Soecies
Agree
You mean Species
Agrees
Edit: agreed
Sucks that George Lucas never gave us a name for Yoda's Species.
Sons of Gaming I trust falloni and favuero
there actually are Jedi who leave the Order to do their own things, feeling the Order's structure is too rigid, like if I recall there was a character in Knights of the old Republic that joins the party who did just that
Yes Jolee
@@stargazer99 lol yup that's the one, and he did it all for the Wookie...
Let me educate for a bit. Dark Jedi was a “coined” term at the time during the ‘90s the term Sith was not brought up until 1999-2000. In the Original Trilogy, Darth Vader and The Emperor were not at all mentioned as Sith I believe. It was until the Prequel Trilogy that the term Sith was brought up because it showed the two factions of Jedi and Sith.
Now not all Sith are Dark Jedi and not all Dark Jedi are Sith. The Jedi and Sith have been around LOOOOONG before Yoda, Darth Vader, The Emperor, etc. Sith were classified as Force Sensitive people who trained only under the Dark Side. Examples: The Emperor and his Master, Darth Maul, Darth Bane. Dark Jedi were former Jedi who have turned to the Dark Side. Examples: Kylo Ren, Count Dooku (later turned Sith), Darth Vader’s Inquisitors like the two in Fallen Order. Anakin Skywalker was considered a Dark Jedi when he turned to the Dark Side but when he was made an apprentice to the Emperor he became a Sith Lord. Kylo Ren is a Dark Jedi because he turned from the Jedi and embraced the Dark Side. He is not a Sith because his master Snoke was not a part of the Sith Order. Now I’m pretty sure there were Rogue Jedi who do things differently than the ways of the Jedi Order. Ashoka is an example of a good Force User who is not a Jedi but there are very few of them canon. I hope this mess somewhat helped
@Yeetus Mcgeetus Dooku left the Jedi Order and turned to the Dark Side, making him a Dark Jedi. After Palpatine trained him in the ways of the Sith, he became an official Sith Lord.
Thank you for that! I do not expect them to keep up though because of this “you have a red lightsaber so you are a sith” bullcrap
Yeetus Mcgeetus Dooku became a Dark Jedi when he left the Jedi Order and embraced the dark side he became a Sith when he was trained and appointed by the Sith himself Palpatine
Kwing: this a level up
Shadow: meow
Kwing: that's right shadow
Just so you guys know, Starkiller is the child of two Jedi. His mother was killed protecting Wookies from Trandoshan slavers.
The Trandoshans are those lizard guys right?
@@jonahd.536 yep
@@jonahd.536 Bossk is one
If you kill 200 wookies in the Vader prologue, you get the achievement "Bossk"
His name is Galen Marek. His codename is Starkiller.
So was Luke skywalkers name in the books Code Starkiller was used in dark or painful times he stop being Starkiller because of the people he was hurting and how he was hurting them e.g. in this game the Hoth dlc luke channels the dark force
Vader does some sort of Force glide thing in the Bespin fight with Luke that I think would be a cool force power. If not that the good old Jedi mind trick.
The force power that I would want is force lightning
i prefer to think of it as force tazing myself.
Juno (Starkiller's pilot) was picked because she is head of Vader's elite squadron
Kwing Luke used force Lighting in the old canon to save someone just because someone uses darkside powers doesn't mean their evil I'll even go further and say that Luke's Jedi order was perfectly balanced with both light side and Dark side so in other words they were basically Grey Jedi
Luke Skywalker and Kyle Katarn believed that the force is neither good or evil in nature but rather what you do with it makes it so. There are good variations of dark side abilities. Such as Electric Judgement/ Emerald Lightning with draws on a sense of justice rather than anger.
And both Luke and Kyle were known for using the Emerald Lightning as a way to safely stun bad guys.
Yoda had no son. And the reason why Jedi couldn't love is because the fear of losing the person you love can eventually lead them to the dark side. Anakin represented that aspect. Palpatine manipulated him from the getgo and played with his emotions for Padme. He lied about Padme dying instantly. Plus the reason why Anakin joined Palpatine in the first place is to go to great lengths to save his wife. Ironically since you're talking about Thanos, if Star-Lord wasn't too attached and blinded by rage, they would've won. Same with Anakin. But I'd rather the rule change and I'm glad it did. A non canon Jedi proved that it is possible. Also Vader hand picked the pilot lady himself
The easiest way to describe star killer is he’s the same as darth maul a third sith who was takin in by the current sith apprentice to overthrow the current master and they both mainly get sent on missions to kill Jedi
You know I always get a kick out of how Amber says she likes Star Wars and then rants about how "stupid" everything in it is. I will give her credit she does make her points clear and sometimes agreeable. For instance, her saying that the new stuff is making old stuff not make sense gotta agree especially with the new Disney trilogy.
I wasn't aware that Vader even knew he had children I was under the impression that Vader Force Choking Padme, is what caused her to go into Premature labor and she died giving birth that or a Medical Droid had to surgically remove both children from her corpse or the infants wouldn't survive.
Okay so I edited my post if I had force powers(there's too many I'd want really), I'd probably go for Force Hold. Since it's the most useful seeming ability since it could be used to pull down broken branches, rip out unearthed tree roots, lift up Concrete Slabs, like I said far too many possible uses. Force Lightning can be abused to steal from ATMs and those machines that exchange bills for quarters as well as being used to torture people and ultimate fry them. Course Force Grab can be used to grab people and fling them thus killing them as well so it really just depends on what the person in question uses it for.
Amber, first rule of video games has always been, "It doesn't matter if it makes 'sense' as long as it makes dollars."
Awesome LP Kwing if you guys are looking for awesome Star Wars games to play next year the awesomeness that is Star Wars Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast was recently ported to the Switch, and PS4, and it's just as awesome sequel Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy is also getting ported to the Switch, and PS4 however Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy's port will also include the fan-favorite multiplayer modes along with Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy's single-player story mode.
I would love to have force lightning, i love yousing that in kotor 1 and 2
You can think of the Jedi allowed to be married rule as the whole batman's devotion to the mission of fighting crime and cutting all ties to people to do so.
I prefer to think of it as how Buddhists will train themselves to let go of their families because reaching enlightenment and becoming one with the universe requires detachment from the worldly. Really the way of the Jedi is effectively scifi Buddism.
Also Palpatine tried to replace Vader several times. Vader got a good work out those days.
Grey Jedi exist though. What she's talking about are Grey Jedi who have left the order but use the force to help people. Many of them take on jobs as bounty hunters
The term I believe you’re looking for is grey jedi
this game was actually released originally for the ps2 and original xbox systems..... this version of the game was a remake for the ps3 and xbox1 because of it's popularity. just to correct the kwings…. I was originally introduced to this in the ps2 version, when I got it for ps3 I was let down you didn't have the option of using the custom costume option like the original draft of the game had. this one you're stuck with the situational outfits the section of the game calls for
The thing different from cal and star killer is that star killer got trained in lot of different force move and lot of different stuff but cal was probably 9 10 when order 66 happen so he didn’t get like a lot of training
Will you be doing the sequel to this game after this one is done?
Fun fact:#1 the guy you started the sith order is Darth Bane and Fun fact:#2 Ajunta Pall was the first dark lord sith
If anyone knows what Force Repulse is, that is the Force Power I would want. It’s my favourite Force Power in Force Unleashed 2 besides Mind Trick.
The Wii version was completely different. Didnt know there was this much differences among the consoles.
I love star wars!
Using the dark side of the force doesn't necessarily make you evil. The dark side really comes from anger not ill intent. There were plenty of red saber wielding dark side users that although only served themselves, were not evil. They simply either had anger issues or realized the dark side was easier and stronger to use.
This video is two years old, but just using the dark side doesn't make one evil as the Grey Jedi and the order of the whispers say "there is light in darkness and darkness in light" this means if you can balance out the force use it as a whole meaning both light and dark you shouldn't fall to the dark side.
When you rule an empire you make the rules... which means you have the privilege to have double standards as an evil dictator
A force power I wish I had would either be to levitate myself, others and objects or force lightning.
Ow I remember these levels
Star killer isn’t a son to Vader anymore than Vader himself is a son to Palpatine. They’re tools to be used and discarded if not up to standard. Sith raise children as apprentices occasionally, but they almost never have anything more than a vague sort of affection. This is an order where backstabbing murder is a central tenant of its beliefs: parenting isn’t a big part of their priorities.
Also, the Sith have had large numbers in the past. It worked about as well as you’d expect an organization made entirely of backstabbing, power-hungry sociopaths would go.
A force power I wish I had? Battle meditation.
There are Jedi that aren't actually a Jedi called gray jedi
Ashoka in both cannon
Some gray Jedi did exist within the Jedi Order. Qui-Gon Jinn was considered a Gray Jedi by some members of the Order for his frequent disagreements with the Council. I think Dooku was too before joining the Sith.
Great video 😊
Vader sent StarKiller to General Kota as a test because he wanted to know if he was worth or to see how much force he could use but with the end of Starkillers story he just vanishish for a long time but then returns as dark lord Starkiller with a older style of force
My favorite two Force powers I would like to have is Force Push,Force Repalse
Hey guess what they're releasing Star Wars the Force unleashed on to the Nintendo switch
My personal theory is that the Emperor used Padme's life force to keep Anakin alive during his... repairs. The whole line about her losing the will to live just isn't Padme.
You guys should play the KOTOR games next!
My force power would be to see the future
He took him since a child managed to take away his light saber away of him so he saw potential in him to train him and take on the emperor together
I don’t see what’s so hard to understand. When the sith order was started there was no rule of two, there could be hundreds of thousands of sith at one time, the problem was they would always betray each other and they almost wiped themselves out trying to gain power. So darth bane enforced the rule of two where there could only be two Sith Lords at one time, THIS DOESNT MEAN THERE WERE NO OTHER DARK SIDE FORCE USERS. There would be a master and an apprentice, the apprentice would either find an apprentice for themselves when they felt they were ready to kill the master and take his place, or the master would kill the apprentice for being weak and find a new one. Yes, there was a transition period but usually the apprentice would have been training their own apprentice in preparation for their masters death, and the master would not know this apprentice existed
There was once a sith so strong with the force he used it to drain and destroy entire planets. I would want that.
The red saber starkiller is holding is darth vaders saber
Yeah Jedi not being able to have children was dumb because ki I Mundi had a family and he was accepted into the Jedi council
Don’t know if you know who he is but he was the Jedi that was killed at the bridge by the clones in episode 3
wasn’t he an exception because his race was about to extinct?
He was, I didn’t know that I just heard he was accepted into the Jedi council but had a family
20:38 Energy! Unlimited Energy!
Anakin already used force choke multiple times before he turned to the dark side, he never learned it off of palpatine
The same reason you can't be a rogue cop. In the Republic the Jedi functioned kinda like the FBI. Now you can't run around claiming to be a FBI agent, it's the same thing with the Jedi.
Guys, we don't know if baby yoda is actually yoda's son. I know for a fact he probably isn't considering yoda is a stiff jedi master who stands by the code no matter what.
Yeah kwings
There is a jedi that is simmilar to the ronin called grey jedi
Wait the first Force Unleashed got a remastering on the ps3?! or did they do that because the release of the sequel years ago
it was released on ps3 in the first place
@@thesunisup_ ok i didnt know that i thought it was released for the ps2 first because the ps2 came first but thank you
No Anakin joined the dark side because he had a vision of his wife dying during childbirth and Palpatine said he could change that but all he had to do was surrender to him
Galen (starkiller) was 8 at the time when vader killed Kento.... and here are good jedi just not official canon i don't think... Grey Jedi or as i like to call them balancers
There was many more sith but they all killed each other there for one sith called Darth bane created the rule of two and took on a apretace (sorry if I misspelled you know why I mean) and his apprentice finally betrayed and killed her master she would take her own apprentice and forth and so forth the sith order is basically dead and with there being two jedi and to sith there is balance in the force
And to answer ambers question there were plenty of good rogue force users like Ahsoka.
I had this game before my Xbox had a red ring of death
I thought Dark Jedi were Jedi who turned to the dark side like Barris Offee or Pong Krell or Anakin Skywalker.
Kwing should do infamous
Two years in the future laughing because we are getting force unleashed for the switche on August 20th
25:17 asoka tano she is good and rough
No to be a bother this is just a thing Good force users who use both Dark and Light are called "Grey Jedi" Just helping....
Is nobody gunna talk about how amber said Martin Luther when it was actually king Henry the 8th who made the protestant church
Martin Luther started the Protestant reformation when he was excommunicated. Henry VIII founded the Anglican Church , which is one of many Protestant churches.
I wish I had Force Lightning
-OCD Star Wars fan here again-
Dark Jedi was a term used constantly in the old canon. I'm not sure about the new one. For one, it was used a lot in the Jedi Knight 2 game, which I think you did a livestream of? It was ported to switch.
I think Sith Order is just terminology left over from the Old Republic days, where there were hundreds of them.
I don't think it's been confirmed that Baby Yoda is Yoda's son.
Calling Dark Jedi Sith is fine (I do it too sometimes). It's just that calling it a plothole that the Inquisitors exist doesn't make much sense...
Either way, there's no Dark Jedi in this game, expect for one later on. Be sides that, everyone is Sith; so I think you're all clear, lol. Starkiller (the main character) is a Sith, though not fully trained.
There are good people who aren't Jedi. They're called Grey Jedi, or simply "Force Users".
Random question; what difficulty are you playing on?
Big fan of the content! Thanks for making these videos.
Starkiller wasn’t even trained to be a Sith, he is just an assassin. I wouldn’t call him a dark jedi either because he has no connection to the jedi order aside from his father being a jedi.
I’m not really into this “calling dark Jedi Sith” thing because it doesn’t make much sense. I mean you can do it for your convenience but it’s still a big misconception. I see why many people want to be in the bubble where there are only Jedi and Sith (aka good guys and bad guys) because the movies were pretty much built around the conflict between those two groups but the reality is more complex so calling everybody those names doesn’t work as good
@@thesunisup_ Dark Jedi doesn't have anything to do with your connection to the Jedi Order. And he was trained by Vader to be his apprentice and take down the Emperor; all pretty Sithy stuff.
@@thesunisup_ Spoiler alert much?

I assume that Starkiller is just that Jedi's new Apprentice! 😏

Amber rey wasn't left on jaku to be protected like how luke was on tatooine rey is on jaku because her parents sold her for drinking money it's not a copy
This comment didn't age well. 😂
Wait what? Anakin wasn’t protecting his wife from the Jedi lmfaooo. It’s not like they kill your loved one if they discover them, they can exclude you from the order though, but that’s the worst thing that could happen. Anakin was getting visions of Padme dying, Palpatine used it to manipulate him, that’s why he was so desperate. And she didn’t die from the force choke Lol you definitely need to rewatch the movies to keep up
You should see the PS2 graphics.
Like half of Amber's questions wern't answered
She’s asks dumb questions and can’t comprehend storylines, has so many “big questions” but he can’t answer her pretty simple questions for some reason even though he’s even read the books. Then he gets annoyed that she’s asking questions and moaning and starts hating on her saying it’s distracting. (A “rogue Jedi” would be Ashoka Tano. Her sense of right and wrong is also very easily interchangeable too🤔
