in my opinion i feel like they knew thrash was dying and there where was something else coming that was bigger, hence the move to what ever you want to call the music on load and reload, hard rock? but still im a metallica fan and they could put a dog turd on a vinyl and id buy it.
This album holds so much nostalgia for me
It's an insanely underrated album, I like the snare sound, it makes the album unique, anyone that hates st anger is not a real metallica fan in my eyes

Ahh... Darkglass. The sound of modern metal bass imo. I can't help but think that it's starting to become the LP into an OD into a Marshall in the bass world. Getting to be everywhere, for good reason, but also maybe getting easy for the hipsters to hate.

@@ileutur6863 same can be said about any gear. If you can't get any piece of equipment dialed in, you either need more time to familiarize yourself the equipment; or, you are trying to bludgeon a square peg into a round hole. So many guitar player friends of mine have done the LP-OD-Marshall setup; none of them sounded like the others.
My diet style, determines my poop style.
