Lord Alfred's adverts are 100% Toast of London. Over emphasising the wrong word, mispronounciations everywhere and odd changes in vocal depth. Love it.
That show is so good.
I also love Matt Berry in The IT Crowd as Douglas. “Faaaaaaaaaather!”
I thought I was gonna hear about Elvira's curious commentary! lol
No shit. Wtf?!
After that video, Dynamite thinking he might actually *be* in a coma.
"...battle Mag-neto and Sabretooth, with your admantium claws and berserker range..." Lord Alfred outdoing even himself in fucking up that line read.
This channel is just awesome.
Yeah I can't stop watching these.
where has this channel been all my life 😬 I just subscribed this is awesome thank you
2:35 it’s still super touching. I loved seeing it when I first found it, the history they shared will be remembered for generations.
8:20 he was born in 57 so at Mania 2 he would have been 27.
I love this channel. I only found it a few days ago and I've never laughed so much at wrestling related content. Bravo guys! 🎉
Cheers, James! Plenty more episodes here to catch up on!: www.youtube.com/@WrestleMe?sub_confirmation=1
Heartbreaking to see Billington chairbound and barely verbal or mobile. Poor fella didn't have the triumphant and strong ending to his life that someone so vibrant should have. As someone with neuropathy of no currently-known cause, Dynamite Kid's story has my full sympathy. Spinal and/or neurological problems really affect one's quality of life, and can be notoriously difficult and delicate to treat.
Probably because he was a scumbag and nobody gave a shit except for hardcore marks. Yeah he was great in the ring. Innovative and captivating. But what a Piece of trash. When you jam a gun into your pregnant wife's belly and threaten to abort your own baby and kill her in the process, A stroke almost seems like not just karma but a spiritual intervention. Rest in piss tom billington.
Stay strong brother.
Words are cheap in RUclips comments but I genuinely wish you all the best mate
@@grindelston5968 cheers pal, you're a real one. All the best to you anall! And the WrestleMe boys ofc
@@grindelston5968 If you're a fan, then i apologize if you are offended. Just never been a big fan of woman beaters, bullies and assholes.
I can't feel bad for a guy like dynamite
This is ridiculous. I’ve just binged 6 hours of this show.. Good on ya boys!
This is the best wrestling channel on RUclips. You guys are hilarious!
Keep up the great commentary
0:33 Bret Hart and Bad News Brown/Allen both used the exact words when describing the Dynamite Kid “Dynamite Kid is pound for pound the best wrestler ever and no one even comes close to Tommy/Tom” in shoot interviews. Bad News Brown said “I wish people in WWF got to Dynamite Kid at his best as by the time he got WWF injuries were catching up with him. I watched a collection of Dynamite Kid matches on video the other month and I forgot just how good he was. I knew he was good but over time you just forget and when I saw the video I was just simply in awe of how good he was. Chris Benoit who I see as a son is the only one who wrestles like Tommy and Chris is the person wrestling at the moment but he’s still not as good as Tommy though I see Chris as my number two in the list of best wrestlers ever.” Even though Stone Cold Steve Austin is my favourite wrestler with Undertaker as number two I see Dynamite Kid as the best in ring wrestler ever, he was simply amazing and ahead of his time. 1:03 that Dynamite Kid Vs Tiger Mask clip you show from 82/83 is from an absolutely amazing match with a jumping tombstone on the concrete outside the ring and blew me away when I first saw it and unlike today where they do big moves which don’t mean anything, every move in that match means something which makes it so much better than anything you’ll see today!
Really decent of Satomo to go to that effort, misunderstanding notwithstanding. What a nice guy. 👍
What? the effort of having a film crew turn up to your house and recording a short video message. He would of been a bit of a dick to turn them away tbh
Elvira was the best celebrity. Should have been way more about her.
She was hot and dark, but the best celebrity that's a nice option.
Having seen the dynamite kid in the early '80's flying through & over the ropes was excitement beyond words for a 10 year old, so to see him end up like this is heartbreaking. A true professional who brought me so much joy & was just incredible to see in action. God bless kid. ❤
The way Lord Al read those ads...it HAD to have been on purpose!
Lord Alfred was the GOAT of reading ad copy. For some reason I can’t hear the Stetson Cologne commercial without cracking up.
Wake up Tommy!
I used to think that King Kong Bundy played Oxblood Oxheart in the 'Popeye' movie and Terror from 'The Wanderers'.
same back in the day.... hes a great singer is Terror...i think he sings in Stir Crazy...
Good lord why did he say Sugar Daddy like that?
Magnetto, classic Lord Al
PUMP SOME IRON TODAY really got me
@@jackspence6061 It was the way he rolled the 'r' of 'rugged' for me😔
"ADMANTIUM CLAUS" hasn't left my brain since I heard it the first time
THE X-MEN BATTLE OF ALL TIME!
@@adrianthompson7025*The "S-Men" Battle of All Time!
That wolverine game was absolute shit.
LJN daddy!
Pete would be so disappointed with himself now calling Bobby Heenan, Bundy's assistant.
oh my god, the lord Alfred Hayes ad breaks are Steven Toast reads
The Brain could definitely bump. What a legend he was. Miss him.
Hello Kamala here 😂! Keep it up guys. Prefect addition to the RUclips wrestling community..
WELCOME 🎉🎉🎉
Kamala is dead gtfoh.
Hello Kamala! It is I, the one and only Saba Simba! How are you doing my friend? I miss you and your home cooking, how’s the wife? We should get together sometime! Well it was great talking to you again Ka’Ma!
Pleased to be your acquaintance, sir! 🙌🔥
Kamala Harris, loved your brother James Kamala Harris!
There's some serious Stephen Toast vibes from Lord Alfred Hayes during those advert reads. Dynamite Kid used to live a few streets down from my mate in Rusholme.
a Rusholme Ruffian
@@pmc8451 very much so. I wouldn't have liked to encounter him on the last night of the fair.
A Hogan vs Piper singles match should have been the main event of WM2. They should have had a really long feud where Piper kept on getting lucky wins via cheating etc only to end up in a cage for Hogan to get the final victory at WM
🤣🤣🤣 Like Piper wouldve done the job to Hogan at WM
Neither of them liked to ever job, so that would never happen. Back then, it was very rare to see a top wrestler take a pinfall loss.
@@willshad It wouldn't be a pinfall loss though. It's a cage.
It would of just been some bullshit ill thought out dusty finish that ultimately ruins the match though.
@@willshad Hogan has jobbed billions of times in his career, wtf are you on? LOL! The whole thing with Hogan not jobbing during his main WWF run, was because Vince McMahon had a rule, "Hogan MUST pose". Back then, he also had another rule where you had to send the crowd home happy. So you wouldnt see Hogan lose because of those rules. If you think Hogan gave a flip about winning or losing fake scripted wrestling matches, you are nutz. Hogan cared about getting that check.
Guys, if you don't know Elvira, you have been deprived. One of the great bastions of camp over here in the States, and a seemingly ageless sex symbol.
The Lord Al commercial spots are a gold mine. Some the shit that poor man had to sell 😂
WM5 was iconic because of the year long storyline of Macho man Elizabeth and Hogan the hype for WM 6 was awsome, the ultimate challenge!
Lord Hayes turned into a Scotsman for the last second of the video.
🏴Southern English accent- " He's the one who started all this trouble...."
🏴Scottish accent- " ITS PAYBACK TIME!!!!!! "
‘I don’t think King Kong Bundy is that old now” he’s not getting much older, he’d been pushing up the daises 3 years by the time time this was uploaded 😂
The podcast episode this is an abridged video of was recorded 5 years ago.
Dynamite Kid’s back “gave up” when he was kneed in the back by an opponent as he hits the ropes!
8:34Assistant?! That`s Bobby Heenan the greatest manager and commentator in wrestling history!
When they started doing the show, the gimmick was that Pete hadn’t watched wrestling before and Mark had watched loads, so this was the second show Pete had ever seen.
@@roryarmitageburns I think Marc is genuinely in the running to be the person that has watched more wrestling than anyone else alive.
Best wrestling channel ever. Hilarious!
One of the funniest statements ever by Mark there. I'm gunna turn my chair round.that was very funny
Lord Alfred does a great ad read.
Great show btw 👏
@Wrestle Me Surprised Pete hadn't heard of the British Bulldogs as a tag team! If you watch that match again, do you notice the balding guy in the white shirt and blue pants at 0:08? He mysteriously holds Brutus Beefcake back at the end of the match in order to stop him from breaking the pin. The ref then counts the 3 pretty quickly. Wonder if this had to do with time constraints? And I'm with Marc on this one, even as a kid who thought wrestling was real, I felt sorry for Bobby Heenan at the end.
to be fair this was only the second wrestling show Pete had ever seen. The whole premise of the show was that Pete had never seen wrestling before and Marc has probably watched more wrestling than anyone else alive. Pete probably only knows who The British Bulldog was because he became a huge crossover celebrity in Britain in the ‘90s.
Adrian Adonis was effin awesome.
To add to what you said about Dynamite, the wwe rings back then were like boxing rings. Compared to the rings they use now it was like bumping on concrete!
Adrian Adonis was given that gimmick because they couldn’t get Adrian street greatest British wrestler in America ..”imagine what I could do to you “…
I like Street but he was way, WAY too small to be anything in the WWF other than a manager. He would have been laughed out of the ring by WWF audience. It was a big man's territory back then.
If you watch closely in the tag team title match the referee outside holds Brutus beefcake’s leg preventing him from stopping the pin
Yall should check out Dynamites nephew. Same name, looks like Tommy did back when he first started. Wicked.
Ozzy wth the Bulldogs...😂😂 nice.
Dr. Bob Punevich looks like Harvey Wimpleman.
🔥🔥🔥
Emily Booth! Thank you for that reminder.
Brilliant! 👍😆
Ya king Kong Bundy so young he's dead😂🤣😂🤣😒😒🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️😞😞😞
fun fact...
Elvira, the awesome and incredibly beautiful Cassandra Peterson, is actually a...?
GINGER
Fun fact she's still somehow hot today?
Yeah a smoking hot ginger. Good god.
Yes, and so am I. I guess people don't expect Casandra Peterson to be a redhead because she's known for the black hair as Elvira, and I love that look, but still gorgeous either way.
yes 👍👍
The man did deserve better
Never knew they had a wolverine game
Watched all 3 videos on WM2 disappointed not to hear anything about the Funks vs JYD and Tito Santana. Everyone in that match is in the WWE HOF.
I November watch wrestliemaina 2 I'm was little crusher
3:10 sugar daday lol..
Bundy died in 2019. Is this reup of old vids or what?
Yep! The vids adapt our podcasts which have been going since 2018
@WrestleMe ah it was confusing coz I only saw the channel like last week. Thought it sounded kinda OSW but more British less Paddy.
Compliment btw
Lmao 💯💯
Boobarella 😂
Adrian could have been another blobby, the way he would just slosh out of the ring to the floor
Promotional consideration paid for my the following
Tom Jones who knew 😂
The babydoll hair zoom literally just almost killed me😂😂😂😂
You'd think they'd have figured out he wasn't in a come and fixed that shit before showing it to him. I mean hell they showed it on a laptop. I didn't notice what year it was. I'm loving the videos. Been watching for a week or so and honestly believe its the best wrestling channel on here
It was 2016.
By*
Did you just "a classic hogan match, not very exciting, not very interesting..." Excuse me? You, sir, are NOT a Hulkamaniac!
0:15 you didn't realise they were a tag team? Seriously? PMSL
The whole gimmick of the podcast is that Pete has never watched wrestling before whilst Mark has probably watched more wrestling than anyone alive. This would of been only the second ever wrestling show Pete had watched.
Is it me, or did we just find the origin point for Matt Berry?
Most of your videos are hilarious.
Mocking a guy who's in a wheelchair and practically in a coma....not so hilarious.
Mocking the in ring shit and stupid angles is one thing, mocking a guy for his deteriorating health is bullshit
8:10 looks like Jesse Ventura is doing the interview in someone’s garage
Feel so sad for dynamite. Short cut to body muscle gain for later years of pain
Come on Tommy, wake up,
Did Elvira even talk?
Why wasn't tiger mask in bad shape
Wasn't into the roids and bad lifestyle like Dynamite was.
cos he wore a mask
Are you two homosexuals?
