When Kings Island announced Vortex's closure on September 27, 2019, my heart broke. I first rode it when I was 9 years old way back in 2001, and it's been one of my long time favorites at the park. So classic in every way. I loved watching it and listening to it just as much as I did riding it. This video is a small attempt to display the sights and sounds of this awesome Arrow looper in its final days of operation. All video shot on my iPhone XR.
Rest in peace, Vortex. Kings Island will never be the same without you. =')
