I'm thinking all the great front men will have a unique way of dancing and moving around. It's sort of a hallmark of one even. Like it's part of the whole package of expressing themselves more or less unfiltered in any way or form. Anyways i'll only truly trust a guy who moves in a for him natural way. Freely - without thinking about it
You gotta practice playing 16th notes on all the strings, I've learned. It gets easier when that's one of your practice techniques but damn does it hurt like hell when you're tired.
I like to think someone, somewhere, who doesn't know who the Red Hot Chili Peppers are; are wondering who and why there is a dude busting out the funky moves in the middle of the stage.
"Hey, like the band. Boy with girl's voice and little-fella-plays-bass-like-a-Moog". But someone should tell them, when you're successful, you don't need your skeevy mate to get up out of the audience and dance. You can afford a real girl!"
That 'bass' line was originally done on a keyboard. That Flea does it on bass is mind blowing. Try it yourself and see how you go. I've been playing bass for over 20 years and this bass line is crazy fast! Flea is a beast!
Boodly hell! I don't know which is more amazing … the range and pitch of John's falsetto mimicking Donna’s mezzo-soprano vocals or Flea’s impressive bass lines replicating multiple synths of a disco track!
Stop criticizing Anthony for his dance. Some people on here are saying he's cocky for doing it, but wth??? What is he supposed to do, stand around awkwardly without moving an inch while John is singing? He's grooving to the music and hence supporting Johns singing. Leave him alone. All ya'll saying he's cocky for dancing are just stupid and are quick to judge and criticize when you dont know what the hell youre talking about.
If I'm ever depressed, I watch this video. John who is in ecstasy singing; Flea who mesmerizes me with his finger work; the drummer with his cigarette hanging out of his mouth; and of course, Anthony's dance moves. They all contribute to a big smile on my face!!!
The Red Hot Chili Peppers are singing a classic disco song. Tell me Donna Summer was not influential and respected. Long live the Queen Of Music. Love you, Donna
John’s mom is a great singer and his dad is a great pianist. His mom sang backing vocals on the RHCP song, “Under the Bridge. John himself is phenomenally talented. Bravo! 👏
Astonishing effort given by electric bass performance by Flea and Smith`s unplugged drumming style to mimic Giorgio`s Moog sound. Frusciante was also brave to scale a voice that is only reached by a few talented female singers like Donna. I give`im that. He was paying a homage and rendering honor to Donna, that`s it, there you go. Yet Flea and Smith are still able to display themselves as the masters they are. A decent scherzo!
This is amazing! All Flea needs is the key and he can just crank out that bass line like an absolute boss! John has an amazing voice and absolutely kills the vocals! Gotta love the Chilis, man. Also, RIP Donna Summer. The queen of disco!
I was there for this, it was my first and (so far) only time seeing them but when you’ve got the opportunity to go see the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and James Brown (amongst others) in London’s Hyde Park in the middle of the summer then you go. It was a great day/concert.
Obviously they’ve played around with this before... but it’s still so impressive that John gives flea a third of a second and flea nails it first go. They were perfect for each other musically.
Damn, all Flea needed was the key to instantly crank out that bassline flawlessly. Boss.
Discobassline it's always the same
I would personaly need an explanation to why it's always the same
It is not the same. The arp pattern is the same. There are chord progressions
The pattern of finger movements is the same just sliding down the bASS
@@niklasbarnickel1336 soo play it. I tried right now on guitar and its really hard
Only John Frusciante can sing a Donna Summer song and completely nail it.
😱😱😱😱😱😱😍❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
What about Donna Summer?
And only Anthony can dance to it and completely nail it lol
@@Crazycatladybxl Anthony's got the moves for sure.
He is amazing!
Flea replacing a whole rack of synths with his bass just fricking AMAZING!
Si...pense lo mismo...Flea System lo hace de nuevo...un genio
Saw this on a reel and ppl were calling flea overrated 😂
I remember when I was a kid, I thod Anthony's dance is normal. So I dance like him wherever I heard a music.
Indi Sugar Taufik that's actually hilarious 😂😂
Indi Sugar Taufik same for me. when i first listened to rhcp and watched their vids i started moving like kiedes.
Indi Sugar Taufik So fucking awesome
@@kangaroofoot It was embarrassing actually. My brother call me weird 😅
Wanjer ada orang indo 😂

Larzuk V his dance moves are making me laugh lol

As a bass player, my fingers hurt just by listening to this song. Flea is amazing.

Flea is an amazing bass player
The best :)
😍💞💞💞💞💞💞💞
If you think he's good, check out Jaco Pastorius. (One of fleas bass idols is Jaco)
I feel love? What key is it? C? And inmediately do the rhythm on the bass. This guys is pure genius.
Probably because he'd done it before and just needed to know what note to start on. But top player :-)
it's not that difficult bro.
@@KPho150"it's not that difficult bro" - 🤓
@@piercelawless2654 What? it isn't. You really think that they came up with that on the spot?
@Ceon that's what I was talking about.
I like to think someone, somewhere, who doesn't know who the Red Hot Chili Peppers are; are wondering who and why there is a dude busting out the funky moves in the middle of the stage.
Thats their own damn fault

jayrvb reminds me of Freddie Mercury, he liked to improvise stuff in falsetto John is in many ways genius like Freddie, only John isn’t gay.
jayrvb I showed this to my friend and she thought that exact thing

It's about as challenging as Right on Time, another one of their songs.
It wasn't even a keyboard bro, it was a squencer.
Thanks bro@@TimothyLafreniere
This dude john is the biggest CRUMB in the history of music.
Boodly hell! I don't know which is more amazing … the range and pitch of John's falsetto mimicking Donna’s mezzo-soprano vocals or Flea’s impressive bass lines replicating multiple synths of a disco track!
And behind that, Chad's perfect beat keeping all together.

john has voice of an angel

that's because they don't feel love
Dudes just vibin’ let him vibe!
He's celebrating Flea's sick bass line and the beautiful performance of Jhonn

Flea toca espectacular y John es un genio hermoso con la guitarra y voz
My new favorite Chili Peppers song. Awesome.
This bass line reminds me of the bass line in "Right on Time" off of Californication. Anyone else?
spot on!
same technique.
Johnny Roberts i think it's more like Cmon girl from stadium arcadium
More of a Hendrix's third stone from the sun I think
It’s also “Estrechez de Corazon”
Saw him perform this at Coachella and it rocked so much I had to search it down!
I think I feel love
I'm honored that this was done in my country lol
John!!!! So amazing!!!! 😍😍😍😍😍
Bravo braví🤩simo!!!!!!!

Seeing Chad without his signature cap and smoking a cigarette is rare!
I really love Chad's trumming when he starts to clash those buckets at 1:01
