If you look at the chords he begins to play (I play guitar) it's even in his youth, you can even just tell from the sound and rythm. Plus, opinion was not played often apart from radio shows, whereas even in his youth can be found on incestacide for example and was played more often

Wanted more than I could steal
    I'll arrest myself, I'll wear a shield
I'll go out of my way to prove I still
    Smell her on you
Don't tell me what I wanna hear
    Afraid of never knowing fear
    Experience anything you need
    I'll keep fighting jealousy
    Until it's fucking gone

We've made a pact to learn from who
Ever we want without new rules
We'll share what's lost and what we grew

OH MY GOD, HOW MUCH DO I LOOOVVVEEEE THIS?!!!!?????
He needs to come here (NY) and do solo small club performances like this one now.
He could sing "Mary had a Little Lamb" for all I'd care!! I'd stay through 3,000 encores of it!!! :)

I remember hearing Frusciante say he hated Nirvana. It's good to see him slamming out one of their songs. Good rhythm guitarist, John.

WES SCANTLIN NEEDS TO SEE THIS AND REALIZE HOW TO DO A COVER!!!
You don't imitate the original because you'll never be able to get to that!
When you do it passionately like this and sing it the way you sing!!!!
That's what knocks it out if the park!
If you're infringing it the way you sing you can put the passion into it instead of trying to strain and sing like someone else.
    This is a GEM!!
and to the people that are "he said they were bad and he didn't like Nirvaner!"
It's like DUDE!!! he was soooo strung out and even did a shot before that VPRO interview! He hated ALL bands on labels and saw them as corporate crap. He left RHCP for the live of gawd because he felt it was turning into that!
What I said years ago while loaded I'd never want ANYONE to hold that to me as a permanent thought or feeling.
Once John got clean and stuff I feel had had a new set of eyes t ok see and feel everything in the world with.
His appreciation of art was completely different!
It ALWAYS IS AND WILL BE in the contrast between of being on Dope and not.
If youve ever been on!... you kno what kinda mind it can sink you into!
ESPECIALLY if you're going into the deep artistic trip on it. You fall into urself and it gets dark and like ur on another planet while watching everything else go on around you and ur just like "uhhhh.... really?" While observing and judging things (be it art or just people in general) in the world
