I've been knitting for years, over 50 but I really enjoyed watching your video! Your voice is so encouraging and optimistic. Plus your video is clear and easy to understand.
You are such a good instructor. I am making a scarf, chunky, multicoloured wool 25 stitches wide. Looks gorgeous!
This stich would make a pretty picnic blanket.
I’m a knitter somewhere between beginning and intermediate and I think I can attempt this pattern. I will make a table runner with white daisies on yellow background. I love your videos. Thank you.
I love your videos! You are the Bob Ross of kitting. :) As a beginner knitter, what would help me also, is to learn how to tink any mistakes on something like this that's a little more complicated but so much fun to do! Thank you!
Thank you, I love that you told us the multiple number of stitches so we can make it the size we want. Thumbs up! :)
You are my FAVORITE knitting RUclipsr, you helped me learn on how to knit in the round! 😀
+Lily Zaruba HOORAY!! Thanks so much! 💗
Really that is the best knitting channel ive ever seen
U know what is the best about yours that u teach clearly not soudless and u give us sth like postive energy while u re saying the instructions
And i will really like if u could add how to do a blanket or a skirt or even a sweater it will really helps and it will give us alot of useful information like what is the best stitch border and how to make the border stretchy as well as reading the patterns
But first of all i must tell you thanks 100000 times for your videos
-Your fan from Egypt
Thank you so much for the video for the Daisy stitch. I put 197 stitches on my needles and using wine and white colors to make my daughter a blanket for next Xmas,
Wow, that is the greatest gift idea! And good for you, getting started early!!!
I love how I can watch you knit, hear you give clear instructions, and just in case I somehow missed something, I know you have it written in the corner. I am so happy I found your Chanel :) It's perfect! Thank you
Awww... So sweet!! I'm so happy you found my channel, too. You totally made my day!
You are so good to learn from. I try to do things from books but i never understand the lingo. Your videos help me knit and begin to understand what the language means!
Thank you for such clear and concise videos! Could you kindly add instructions to your website on how to knit the daisy stitch in the round? Thank you!
your narrative is clear and precise, you show step by step and the written script is most helpful. Thank you from Chennai India
+Mythily Chari so happy to hear my videos are helpful to you. Thank you from California! 🌸🌼🌸
wow kristen you live in california! cool!😸sorry, i am a cat lover
I love this stitch! I've also seen it called the Star Stitch. I'm working on a scarf made with this. It's one of my all-time favorites and one of those stitches that I just go to when I want to play with a new yarn or make something a little fancier than garter stitch.
Hi this is such a great tutorial I’m learning this stitch to add a bit of pizazz to the knitted headbands I’m making
I really love how you teach people these stitches.I cant follow patterns for some reason,I do my designs from my mind or if I look at a design for a few minutes I know how to do it,so I love watching you do these stitches.thank you so much :-) xx
You're so welcome. Sounds like you're really talented yourself!
Studio Knit yes I am,im on instagram if you would like to see.I have learned alot from your videos:-)
This stitch is really fun to knit I am going to do make it with two colors
Gonna try this for a baby blanket
Thank you so much for your videos. I'm a newbie knitter and your tutorials are so helpful. Knitting is my new happy place 😊
I’m learning so much from your RUclips videos! You’re such a wonderful teacher! Thank you! Thank you! 🌸
You knit so perfectly, I wanna be as good as you. I mean seriously I try doing this again and again but I can't do.....so your the master at this☺
Ha, thanks, +Noor Fatima - I do hope to help everyone knit new projects. Keep at it! And thanks for watching!
I'd absolutely love seeing this pretty stitch used for a triangle shawl. Do you think you could do a tutorial for that? I would love a project like that to showcase the stitching. Would it work?
or if any of you experienced knitters have any ideas how to keep increasing stitches with this pattern, that would be great too!
when I finish my knitting I am going to try some of your squares. I have been asked to knit some dish cloths so I can try some them. Can some of the patterns be joined together.
Played a Nancy Drew game were this stitch was a clue. The character made a shawl with this stitch and it's what helped inspired me to learn how to knit aside from my grandma
+enigma1326 That's amazing!! Such a fun memory & story.
Great story!
enigmagirl Omigosh Shadow Ranch! I adore the Nancy Drew games and that's what made me click on this video 😂
Me too! It’s part of why I started knitting a few years ago :) finally getting around to learning how to do the daisy stitch!
Hello Kristen! I looooooooove your videos and i want to let you know what i am making this stitch for..... i am making it one of the squares in a quilt for myself! and if it makes you any happier, i am going to say that i am going to use all the stitches in my quilt from you! happy knitting for all!
wait, i forgot to add that i am only eight years old and i could do this, only with you!
So helpful! Thank you. I'm using the Daisy Stitch in a baby blanket, and you've made it so simple.
Awesome. Sounds pretty!
Does it curl? I want to use this for a dishcloth, but am concerned that, since all the bumps end up on the same side, that (like stockinette) this stitch might not lie flat.
A scarf and a market bag would look great in this stitch
Absolutely!!! That would be so pretty!!! 🌼🌸🌺
I’m using this to make a lovely scarf💜
Oh I love this daisy pattern it's stunning thnx
Hi just watched the video of the daisy flower stitch, its lovely, looks really pretty and can see this pattern incorporated into a girls hooded jacket, can't wait to try it. Thank you
Oooh, a hooded jacket would look amazing! Cool idea!
I’m going to use this and many other knit stitches to make my grandchildren knitted afghans for Christmas. They will be squares joined together for an Afghan.
Best videos ever, clear and easy..
Cuteness! I love it with the alternating colors. It really makes the daisies pop. I think I'm going to make a matching baby hat and blanket.
Thanks, crafts4reborns - great project ideas! Send photos once you've knitted them up, would love to see your work! Hope you're doing well!
You are so wonderful to get a tutorial of this stitch on! I am so excited to try it with your directions. I watched the whole video and could see every step clearly. Keep up the excellent job, your channel rocks!!!!!
Yay! Thanks so much, Deanna Zachary - It was a pleasure to create a how-to video from your request! Such a fun knit stitch! And everyone really seems to enjoy it, too. Thanks for the great suggestion and encouragement!
Thanks dear your videos are so easy to understand .I really love your videos
Great to hear, thanks so much, Nighat.
Hello. Im new to this so its gonna take me a little bit to learn this. thanks.
I loved your video. Very clear and looks like I could probably do it but could you explain how you add the other color. Do you get it from the same working yarn ball every other row? You don't cut off a tail every time you end a row do you? Do you just pick it up the next row your going to be that color assuming it's going to be every other color. Maybe you can tell me which video shows that.. Sorry, I am a beginner and I'm just not exactly sure.
Want to know this as well
this is really a lovely stitch pattern and quite easy - but just a few tips before you begin with this stitch - if your tension is tight, you will need to loosen up a bit or else the P3tog, YO p3tog, can be a bit of pain - also if you do find that somewhere along the line (like I did ) that you lost 1 or stitches and you land up pulling out a few rows - make sure that you pull out until this row " once you picked your stitches up - you must start with a knit row - in other words row 1 or 3
Actually, I've now tried again - if you find you have to pull out, then it seems you have to pull everything out - picking up stitches just makes you loose the entire pattern - i can see a clear distinct row thats not the same as the rest :(
I would love to see this in the round to make allium flowers.
I love this stitch, and I'm making a baby blanket. But I can't see from your video what to do with the yarn when you change colors. Do you snip if off and weave it in later? Do you let it hang and pick it up the next time. If I don't snip it off when changing colors, I am overwhelmed with yarn coming from all directions. Please any ideas will be appreciated! Thanks!
Want to know this as well. Were you able to figure it out. Please share if you did
So simple but so cute! I can't wait to try this!
+Nina Gold Yay!! Have fun and thanks for watching!!!
great video & very helpful. Going to make a tea cozy with this pattern
Wow, that is a great idea! I'd love to see a pic when you're done!
will do :)
Omg love this stitch it really cool especially for headbands
My daughter really likes the program You use for editing do you mind if I ask which editing app you use thank you
i wonder if i can use daisy this pattern on a sweater, will it turn out nice?
Kristen I'm only 9 and I've knitted a onesie for a toddler
+Knit Girl Games Wow!! So impressed!!
ooh! I think I'll make a baby blanket in a chunky yarn!
Okay, I'm back at row 1 (for the second time), do I just bring the 1st colour back up, or cut the threads and weave them in after??
Thank you very much where I can find the written pattern I love very much
Just tried it. It's pretty.
I'm knitting fingerless gloves with 50 CO I already knitted 1 row can I use this stitch for my gloves? Or will I have to add any or decrease any? I think this would look cute with gloves!
looked complicated but with your basic instructions, I think I can do it
Thank you :))
I want to make an adult blanket how many stitches do I need an I like the color change it is very pretty so when do you change your colors like your display
I'm teaching myself to knit and watching videos of different stitches and patterns to try to understand what I'm doing a little better.
Which leads me to my question, when you purl, do you always put the yarn on the needle counter clockwise? Or is that just for this stitch? I've been struggling with the Stockinette stitch and I'm wondering if it's because I'm not purling correctly.
Yes, that's how I purl and it works for me. Give it a try and good luck!
Studio Knit Thank you! That took care of all the problems I've been having. You're videos are amazing and I've learned so much from you in such a short time! Thank you!!!
Great ! I wish you would have done some of your other videos like this
Thanks, +Stephen JS2417 - Yes! I'm constantly working on improving my videos. Glad you liked this one!
V nice tks how is looking back side?
beautiful design...
Can you do this pattern for circular knitting?
Great video! I'm having trouble switching between colours though. How did you do that with this stitch? Did you thread it in the back or twist it in while knitting?
So interesting. Keep up the good work.
Will this design show on bulky yarn?
I like your channel it is awesome that I can understand everything.
Thank so mush for the videos you do.
Awww... so sweet, lily Barr - I'm so happy that you like my videos!

i have a question.....can you have different number cast ons in a quilt but the same hight as the others or will it look weird? sorry for my long comments (i did three)😂
Thanks for the lesson and pattern. If I'm knitting this pattern in the round, do I change the knit rows (1, 3, etc) to purl rows?

Lovely video.
is this the same as the star stitch?
Which row should we bind off on?
Hi Kristen how may stiches do we need to cast on if I want to make a baby blanket.
Thanks
Maria
I'm going to knit a baby blanket but I need to know what size needles I would need? Can you help me with that please.
g u
+Carol Curtis It would depend on the size of yarn you were using. Many blankets use afghan yarn which, being quite light, uses smaller needles. The yarn shown in this video appeared to be worsted weight, and the needle size looked to be a US size seven or eight. (That, or I'm very bad at guessing.) When in doubt, find a yarn you like and use the recommended size of needle (usually it's listed on the label.)
By the way great video i would love to try that🌼🌸🌺
Maple Humphreys you
I just wonder how i'd decrease the stitches for the flap
How much time did it took you to make this sweater ?
Which is the right side?
I like it
