I'm 62 years old. I live in California and make techno and synthwave. I listen to French 79, I listen to Fontaines D.C., and I listen to a LOT of things... but Gary Numan... is in a particular sphere of musical existence that is beyond the transient nature of most music. Kraftwerk are the only other group I would put in this category. The sound of that Minimoog... the Juno... and other synths he used are iconic and haunting -- STILL. This music will never sound dated.

Firsr saw Gary, Guildford pleasure principle tour 2 Wembleys and the Albert Hall, and still wowed every time I see him. Grown up with Gary and finally met him this year, the nicest man you could ever wish to meet.
Gary was very popular at his peak commercial time and remains extremely popular today. His music is timeless. New listeners are cottoning on all the time.

Absolutely FANTASTIC!!! Numan was and still is in a league of his own, first heard the PP album in 79, when I was 9 and I thought he was from another planet, same as Kraftwerk :) There's nothing that comes close, this music will never age, as fresh and vibrant and otherworldly today as it was back in the 70's :) An outstanding tribute Klaus, could listen to a super extended version of that track all day long :)
