I'm simply Gobsmacked..... !!!! Now, speaking as someone who grew-up throughout the 80's, "Cars" had that had an all synthesized sound which was a reinforcement from an initial introduction into New-Wave (although I self-identified as just a weird Goth-Kyd) I became instantly attracted to New-Wave as "The Second British Invasion". Firstly, there was "I Feel Love" produced by Giorgio Moroder and Pete Bellotte recorded in 77' with Donna Summer's sumptuous lyrics skyrocketed over the Disco scene. It signified that, that 70's Era was coming to an abrupt close with Punk into Post-Punk music. That's the bedrock foundation, in my mind, that create a futuristic sound employing a Moog Synthesizer, which even caught the attention of Brian Eno and David Bowie who proclaimed it as "The sound of the future". New-Wave music had arrived and it was indeed the future, so no surprise, because electronic music is still very much here and everywhere today. I love this "reimagined intervention", because this isn't the usual "remix" that so many other people do, because ― "Music is Alive". This has incredible depth, a superior balance backing Gary Newman's vocals, with a beautifully executed varnish which does more than just update this 80's classic song: It so necessarily reverberates from within your life-essence residing deeply in your 🖤❤🖤heart, Klaus. In the United States during the 80's in California "Cars" went super-sonic for we teenager's who were just latching onto Electronic Music, when most older people said "These 'fake' instrumental sounds will never replace 'real' instruments.... !!!!" In those early 80's, a close Goth-buddy of mine, the A-typical Robert Downey Jr. "Brat-Pack" type rich-kid who had purchased a synthesizer. Yes, we both did drop frozen drinks called a Slurpee on top other kids from the Mall's upper floors and then run away 😈+😈.... !!!! We were mean Goth-Kyd's but we never stood for being picked-on, but instead we got even. Aside from that tangent, those analogue sounds were warm and inviting, nevertheless the flexibility was what impressed me the most teenagers. "Cars" had arrived at the perfect spot in time for me and it impressed me very much ― Yet not everyone understood Gary Newman's "strange" mindset at the time. I always thought he was normal to me, but whatever. Even though my Goth-Coven forbade collecting such nonsensical music ― That never stopped me. Klaus, you've outdone yourself with this significant "reimagined intervention" which is not just another "remix" in my opinion. There's such a richness of depth and you've re-envisioned "Cars" with the sensitivity and dedication of a true music artist. Although, I do believe that Gary would approve. I wish I could get Gary's attention to hear this, so maybe I'll phone a friend? Will you place this on Spotify?
Thank you for these insights and memories Spin Glass Hydra. I don't own the rights to this so will not be able to post on Spotify, but if your friend is able to help you never know. Gary Numan created some incredible sounds and was doing in the late 1970s and early 1980s what Bowie was doing in the early to mid 70s - both produced landmark music that people will enjoy listening to for many years to come.
@@KDEADS Music is a living Entity..... !!!! Musicians everywhere pour their soul-energy into their music, which makes them immortal from my point of view. With this music intervention, I can definitely hear your soul reaching out to everyone who listens to it also ― I'm elated about your amazing skill-set and talent, Klaus. I made a call to a buddy, who knows another buddy, but who knows when Gary will take a listen. Perhaps Gary might re-release "Cars", through yourself; but, Gary might just like you enough to make some music with him..... ??? If Gary can hear what I hear, then ― Just remember we little people when you go up to his penthouse suite. I thank you so much for this and everything else you do ― "Good on you" my friend.
What a fresh and appreciating approach to all this music - it's like you give these immortal, but sometimes somehow forgotten gems - how to put this - a second, parallel immortality... Keep up the great work! Can't wait to listen to another pieces which will echo in my mind and soul forever❤
The original set the tone for pretty much all beware music for the 80s. It was a major shift in music when it hit the air waves. Nothing in music was the same after this.
I always like to listen to your new ones though my studio desk on a pair of 250ohm open backed DT990s. Really enloyed this rendition. Im sure Mr Numan would approve.
Great remixes and I also like the art work you have selected or produced. I am going to dig into your other remixes my first remix from you would be METAL Gary Numan. And I loved the pictures telling the story. The Story Of Man And A.I sharing the hospital procedures. peace over and out.
Great rendition of a great song. You have a talent for adding something new whilst keeping the essence. More pls. I'm old enough to remember AFE and Cars from '79. Numan never gets old for me.
Ah... VERY nice! Great artwork mate! Really dig all the Cyborgs and Robots! 👍 I have ALL of Gary's albums, even the apparently very rare Pure and Splinter on vinyl. Cars is probably my least favourite of his, but I LOVE what you did with it!
Wow, that was lovely. I must admit that this is one of my absolutely favorite songs by anybody, ever, and I can be unabashedly precious about it. Covers often fail in translation, and remixes can too easily obscure the source material in attempting to inject unneeded originality or spice. Subtle as it is, I found the variation/refraction of the outro melody (the part of the song that I can literally listen to for hours at a time) jarring at first - but only because I wasn't expecting it. It works, though. I'd love to hear a mix of this version overlaid/blended with the original's full instrumentation. Weird, perhaps, and my opinion is only my own, but this is really great, so thank you.
Can you do some electronic versions of Def Lepard songs? or Nu Shooz "Move Out"? - "Axel F" by Harold Faltermyer? "Rock-it" by Herbie Hancock? Oooh! How about some enhanced "John Carpenter" tunes?
Thank you - I have a few pending. I will add to the list and if things work out well it will be posted on here. Not sure when though. Thanks for listening.
I love these remixes and the visuals are delightfully creepy. I do have one question - is the visual distortion intentional? I see a slight rippling effect with what I call "static".
Thank you. I use FL Studio to extract the stems from the original. It works pretty well, but not always. Heavily processed vocals with a lot of effects can be tricky. Most DAWs will allow you to extract vocals I think. RipX is another option.
I use a feature on FL Studio that allows you to extract the drums, bass, vocals, instruments. I have used RipX as well in the past - both are very good.
Unfortunately, I'm sick to death of hearing 'Cars'. Numan had better material to release but his pigheadedness and not listening to his management led to his popularity waning from 1982 until his increasing renaissance in 2000!!!!
Me encanta esta versión, excelente 😊
Muchas gracias
What else is there to say; to Gary and his cult song, when everything is already known...
Great remix from you !!
Thanks Silence Blue
Thank you Klaus. Another fab remix while still keeping to the essence and spirit of the original. Love the visuals too. Great work.
Much appreciated
YES!
You GET IT, you REALLY GET IT MAN!

I love it .. just listened to it three times and "breathed it in" - thank you very much to Klaus for this great piece 🖤🍷
Thanks Carsten

Yea😅
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it.
I love these remixes and the visuals are delightfully creepy. I do have one question - is the visual distortion intentional? I see a slight rippling effect with what I call "static".
Thanks for listening. The visual distortion is an effect called vaporwave.
Brilliant - I love what you did with the ending!!! What do you use to produce the vocal stems? 😁

Fantastic remix! What AI app are you using for the imagery?
Thank you - I use something called Deep AI along with some effects

Beautiful piece
Thank you very much!

Thanks for listening!
Oh so near but hit the post. Those early, mid and end synths need to be high to scream at the ears. Pitch too low, shame
