I can't believe these videos don't at least 200k views. I'm new to the channel, I am not a regular viewer but these vids are probably the best metal categorization videos i have ever watched.
was searching for someone to cover these bands, found this video, and was like “wow this channel is dope, i should subscribe” just to find out i’ve been subbed for months already! glad to see you back, loving the content!!
Secret Band is a sideproject to Dance Gavin Dance and Tides of Man is a previous band of Dance Gavin Dance vocalist Tilian Pearson. Everything is connected
First of all: THANK YOU! This is immensly useful und helps a lot to find new stuff. Now my comment: While I am very glad Fair to Midland is here - shouldn't Agent Fresco be somewhere here, too? I mean Destrier is one of the best albums I ever heard!
closure in moscow is so damn good. i love them, their new cd is amazing too. this is weird to watch now. i keep seeing olly steele all over facebook. all of the prog mixed with post hardcore caught me for a wave and i haven't hopped off yet. another band that no one knows is PMtoday. they were from england.
Ghost is hard. I had them in this chart before I made the videos but took them out. I might put them in my bonus episode at the end of the series. They're influenced by a lot of things but have some doom elements so that might have been an Episode 4 thing. I think Volbeat could have also been good somewhere in Episode 4 because of that rockabilly rhythm they've got going on, but not in the doom section, more near Fu Manchu and Kyuss just because of their song structures.
@@j41m3z I just downloaded it on my computer and phone to make sure and it's working fine for me, make sure you're hitting the "download pdf" button and actually saving it to your device because otherwise it'll just be a pixelated preview of the actual file. And if you're on mobile make sure to wait a while for it to load, it took a long time on my phone because the file is so massive. I hope this helps!

I had watched your first episode literally this morning for the first time.
Fun fact I believe the vocalist and guitarist from “mars volta” were in “at the drive in”
Yes, they were
Same person! Cedric Bixler Zavala, I think
The detail and editing in these videos are phenomenal

The Mars Volta is literally a child of At the Drive-in

Coheed was the very first Prog band I listened to and they are in my top 10. I can’t wait for Vaxis II to come out this Friday.

You deserve much more views
Don't care about Coheed & Cambria but The Mars Volta and Thank You Scientist are incredible
Where would you place Volbeat or Ghost?

Aviations is very periphery-ish
Radio friendly.... cant think of better thing that every one says as a compliment but is in the end an insult. Or it should be.
