I can relate to that. My dad cheated on my mom and to clear her head, my mom went on a girl trip to Peru. While she was gone, my dad had his "friend" Gabby over. To the pregnant lady being cheated on.
    Immediately change locks
    Freeze your accounts.
Get a really GOOD divorce lawyer and take him for EVERYTHING. Mistress isn't going to like him so much when he's broke.
Ask your lawyer but find out if your state has "alienation of affection" laws. If so, sue the mistress for EVERYTHING she's worth.

I happened to find out he had another address. Went there. Heard a woman's voice and kids. My heart sank because I hadn't got my head around my suspicions being true. He was married and once he knew I knew, I started a campaign of terror.....
I told him I wouldn't tell his wife. But I did. I told him it was over and All was forgiven.
But I told his entire family by emailing them copies of our communication. I told his neighbours. And I left hundreds of signs in womens toilets in a 10km radius, just warning single women that he is married.

I"ve been with my wife for 13 years, married for 9. I could NEVER even think of cheating on my soulmate. I love her more than anything. It would destroy the one thing I've wanted since I was a kid, a family. And besides cheating sounds hard as hell, like that guy said. And then you're single afterward. Being single and dating nowadays sounds like a literal nightmare.

    • @demonvictim
      @demonvictim Год назад +1

Heres the mindset when you first cheat you get a rush of adrenaline like you skydive. Afterwards you start thinking how the hell is my spouse so ignorant about what destructive behavior i just did. Now you are hyper aware yet guilty at the same time so you degrade your spouse if they start getting weird vibes or you try to act absolutely normal whilst escalating the cheating since the hits just aint the same. From their place to a hotel to your car to even the bedroom you will do it and start thinking your spouse is so dumb for not noticing. Hence you get caught and get this desperation that you need to keep your spouse in your life since they are your drug. Their ignorant despair is your happiness so cutting them off is like putting them on cold turkey and the longer the relationship with main spouse was the greater the enjoyment of cheating was.

my boyfriend went on a house party once with two of his weirdo friends who are a bit younger, but the party was at the house of some girl and there were only a bunch of girls around. the two friends went there with the intention of getting laid (one of them in a relationship, ew) and the girls were.. let's say.. the type for it. when they arrived, my boyfriend realised the girls eyed him too much (his two friends look very average and he looks like some handsome main character from an east-asian drama, i don't even know how i landed this man), so when he introduced himself, he just said "I have a girlfriend of 12 years and I only care about her so don't even touch me" 🤣 one said "that's sad..." he just went "no it's not". he didn't last long there and his friends had to drive him home, best thing was they quickly drove back to the girls place to finish their business but they didn't open the door 🤣🤣🤣 me and my boyfriend celebrated over this too hard. i am lucky to have him. he always tells me honestly when someone flirted with him and we always laugh about how he managed to get rid of the girls. 😄

When I was a kid, my dad introduced me to a woman who I am now 90% certain was his mistress. Nothing was said outright, but the whole thing was so weird. She was so excited to meet me & I didn’t understand why his “friend” was so invested in this lunch. My dad had a history of cheating on my mom (they were divorced by then) &, at the time, was dating the woman who would become his second wife. While I didn’t understand what was happening as a kid, I figured it out as a young adult & let me tell you IT MESSED ME UP. So I sit while they yell at eachother in her car. He comes back out and tells me he has to go but that we should do this again some time. I tell him no way.

Fortunately, Virginia is both "no-fault" and "fault" considering divorce, so his cheating will matter when family court decides what his child support payments will be. I don't know if Virginia grants spousal support, but I sure hope so!
Edit: I looked it up, "Alimony (spousal support) in Virginia is on an indefinite basis. Indefinite alimony can be raised or lowered over time if there is a change of circumstances."
I hope she does what I did, get the best divorce attorney possible! I live in California, a "no-fault" state. My ex thought that meant that no matter how abusive he was to me, it wouldn't matter in court. He stated this in emails, in one he said, "This is a no-fault state, so you might as well do everyone a favor and kill yourself!"

That doesn't really mean any exceptions were made. That's entirely the point of a no fault state. They follow the letter of the law when dividing up assets and deciding on alimony and child support. No fault just means the law will not assign blame to one of the parties and you're able to get divorced even if the other party doesn't want a divorce.

My heart goes out to the pregnant mom. I have been in a similar situation. My ex was on affair 5 or 6 (I wasn't aware of some of the affairs until after our divorce). It wasn't quite as bad because the woman wasn't a friend before the affair and I wasn't pregnant. But he did take my 4 kids to meet her on one of his dates. And I met her during the affair. He told me she was a coworker. The first time I met her he had told me she was looking for a better job but she didn't have a computer at home. He asked if he could bring her over to work on a resume and print it out. So I helped with the resume and she printed it out. She was young (early 20s) and turned out to need help with a lot of things. I figured we all need help when we are young at some point and was happy to give it. Being in my early 40s I had more life experience after all. We even gave her money once despite being below the poverty level ourselves. I had no idea she was not his coworker, but they were having an affair. I can't believe someone can sleep with a married man then use his wife like that! He only told me about the affair and that he had met her on Plenty of Fish after he found out she was catfishing him and several other men at the same time.

I just called my soon-to-be ex out as much as possible and am awaiting our hearing this upcoming Monday (12/5). Cheating is the worst thing you can do to someone. My own story includes years of horrific DV. If I'm being 100% honest, the cheating messed me up more than the abuse ever did. My heart is with those who had their entire world shattered in a matter of seconds. 💜

My heart is aching for that mom but I’m glad she found out, before being blindsided. She can be the one to serve him first, and she also gained a new friend. A true friend in fact because FRIENDS don’t hit on or get with your best friends husband, boyfriend or significant other. That shows that the friend wasn’t really her friend. Also that lady is most definitely not the maid.

The douche taking his kids to meet up with his mistress hits close to home for me. It’s exactly what my dad did to me when I was young- he’d tell my mom all sorts of BS stories about how he was going to take me “to the park” or some other excuse to go for a hookup (and yes- he took me to her place and would go about sucking face in front of me at one point).
I ended up telling my mom about it, which led to a bunch of drama culminating in their divorce not long afterward.
And (in true Boomer fashion), he refuses to acknowledge that he did anything wrong to this day, claiming his infidelity was “not his fault” and that the problem was with my mom and how “angry” she was (not surprising in light of HIS behavior), which is obviously complete bullshit.
(He would go on to get a one-night stand pregnant resulting in an out-of-wedlock birth years later with a buttload of drama to follow afterward, but that is another story).
Through it all, my mom would continue pressing my brother and me to have a relationship with him, claiming some kind of emotional hole on our hearts if we didn’t.
(Kind of an odd statement as I STILL want nothing to do with him even after the number of years I’ve had being in contact with him).
    The moral(s) of this story-
    1) Don’t cheat on your spouse, especially if there are children involved. You have NO idea the kind of emotional damage you can cause with your own selfishness.
    2) If you DO feel like sewing your oats instead of settling down, DO NOT get married and DO NOT have kids. Don’t even consider it. You clearly aren’t the marrying type, so don’t bullshit yourself or the one you’re seeing into believing you are.
    3) If you ARE stupid enough to cheat, DO NOT involve your kids in your exploits. You will do them a MAJOR disservice (not to mention screw them up in a multitude of ways) when you do this. You will also expose yourself as a major piece of shit, too.
    4) If you are the spouse whose been cheated on, and the both of you brought children in this world, DO NOT press them to continue having a relationship with the cheater. That decision is theirs and theirs ALONE, and you’re meddling in their lives only shows off the insecurities and codependent nature YOU have. You will only add to the frustration they will endure in having to deal with both you AND the cheater, as they will have to deal with the satellite drama the both of you cast out.
    5) Don’t be surprised if the kids you subject to the drama you and the cheater created decide not to grant you any grandkids, as you clearly aren’t worth the effort. That’s the situation I’m dealing with at present- I’ll get the “when are you gonna give me grandkids” story now and again as if it’s my obligation to do so. And I give the both of them the same answer- “when he’ll freezes over”.

That first one was heartbreaking. My home was broken by a mistress. I know what it did to my sister and I and I saw what it did to my mom. I feel for that poor woman, especially with her being pregnant. But you know, hopefully one day she and her children will come to the same conclusion that my mom, my sister and I came to about my “father”… He’s a POS and you’re lucky he’s gone.

Gotta say, staying with a cheater is a bad idea. I did and the last several years were among the worst of my life. She wasn't repentant and wouldn't even try to work things out but she through a fit when I'd suggest leaving. I stayed for the sake of our two kids but I finally realized that staying is doing more harm than good. If someone cheats on you then do yourself a favor and get rid of them. You deserve better than that!

The amazing thing about all this to me is that there are plenty of people out there that will willingly opt for the open relationship. But these cheaters seem to get off on lying and treating their partners terribly. I guess it's just more proof that being single is better than being in a relationship with people of poor character. Also, you can't try to hold someone accountable for cheating if you've never communicated your expectations.

Stop cheating or stop getting into committed relationships. Just screw around for the rest of your life. All the time I was pregnant with our third child and after she was born, my now ex husband, was having an affair with a 19 year old girl. He was 38! Even got his nipple pierced, it was drooping . I hadn’t really noticed that something was wrong because he was in a new job and I thought that I should be supportive 😡 Plus I was shattered as our eldest had her tonsils out a week before I gave birth and at 5ft 6, I weighed 5 1/2 stone after I’d given birth, because I was physically pushing myself to keep the children in all their after school classes, working and running a home
