Maka'ainana Athlete X is killing your gains
13:44 is the most important part of speed training, right?
Lol
Hahaha aerodynamics, the struggle is real...
Forgot to edit that part.
13:44 is the story of my life 😂😂😂
Your knowledge is crazy in depth
Straight to the point with valuable information, yes excellent video.
yes
foolproof video. nicely done Cody. I'm a sports performance coach myself, your rationales are on point.
Cody your knowledge makes me hungry to start again.
Awesome content man, I appreciate that you take the time to explain every part of the training.
Nice form! Knee lift is good, dorsi flexion is accurate. Arm movement above the hip, with upper body being right over your center of gravity and chin slightly tilted down...nicely done!
+The Meister Thanks man!
Nice way of telling everyone, that you know everything, and are the best!
BOI
Awesome video man
You are really great at presenting. Very easy, and love your work. Keep at it Cody!

Very high quality information
Liked these videos matter fact I am interested in sprinting!
Very much effective workout masha allah...nice lesson bro ...keep teaching us
I really enjoy your tutorial videos, you explain the processes in depth and easy to understand which show your high knowledge if sprint training. Do you design sprint programs?
Hey I saw you comment on my video, I was never really coached in sprinting but I've always wanted to try.
Great information man keep the videos coming! What do you focus on when you sprint at max velocity? Driving the arms? Striking the ground with your feet? I've gotten a lot of mixed and conflicting opinions when researching the topic.
+Cody Bidlow It depends! Hate that answer but it really does depend..! Thanks for the videos Cody. Is there a way to actually facilitate horizontal force? I feel as if shin angles, foot placement are the only determinants.. Can you explain more on how you intend to create larger h. forces??
+Cody Bidlow Thanks so much for your answer. I just started sprinting for fun a little while ago so your content is very useful! I run unattached at the home meets at my university and have been able to drop my 100m pr from 12.22 to 11.69 thanks to your videos! Keep up the quality work
Nice video!
I started running track my junior year my first 100m race ever I ran a 12.2. By the end of th season I ran a 11.4 so anything is possible
Zurah VI oh shit dude give me some tips I’ve been in track since 10th my 100 time was 13.34 then this year in 11th it was 12.37 I’m pretty slow :(
Zurah VI I have my last year and I wanna hit a low 11
Spite Fire are you a girl or guy?
Bro I’m a junior rn and I’m doing track 😂 I’m so slow lmao. Let’s see how this goes
Good bro
Awesome video.
hey I recently seem you comment to check out your video so here I am hope to learn something when I do track more and more
Very proffetional content , I should check your channel for sure
I think this is from USRPT for swimming competition. Nice! 👍🏽
The most dramatic change ive ever made to my speed was when I stopped landing on my toes. Unfortunately I learned this after my athletic career. Now I blaze the bases in mens league.
did you land on your midfoot
Do you recommend to do speedtraining during early preseason training.
I’m a 60 and 100 m sprinter.
When sprinting should you emphasis the leg coming down hard like a hammer or leg going forward and down fast?
Thank you!
Very nice video very useful
good vid. very informative
how far apart are the wickets?
athlete
x... sounds familiar😂 @athleanx
Garrett Rosenow right?! I was like, what happened to Jeff? Lol
Ok so if you were to time the flying 30 would you start from the beginning of 30 to deceleration, or from the beginning of acceleration thru the flying 30?
Thank you
Excellent video! Is that the University of Santa Barbara track?
No worries. Do you provide personalized sprint coaching?
No worries mate. I will be in touch in the future.
How often should I train in a week if I'm hitting the gym and doing cardio? Please I need that... Was the fastest dude back than in my region than stopped for 5 years now starting again to get better than ever.
That moment was legit hilarious 😂 😂 😂 meme material
Nice work speeding up the initial video
Nah
Lol it isn't sped up, it's just at 60fps
13:41
ROFL
👍 💚 💯 🙌🏼 Thank you so much, grateful.
I started sprint just last year my 100m time. As at then was about 13.98 at the end of last season I ran a whooping 11. 8
Brilliant
sir I want to speed up in running but there is always pain in my leg
you seem to be very fast
you have a beautiful style of running. my favourite style is the one from Carl Lewis. im at 12 seconds flat on the 100 meters. im almost 39, and had back surgery 6 years ago. im going to apply your advise.
+Cody Bidlow No, I 'don't know the guy. I'll look him up.
About the twelve seconds, I've always been very fast, even without training. I ran 11,26 when I was 14 but had to stop training due to back and knee problems (accident whn I was 5, and never treated by a doctor untill I was 31. I started training again and after a year I was back at 13,35 seconds; 6months later, due to specific training of technique and explosive training, I got it down to 12,6. Then I started loosing fat, and lost 12 pounds of fat. Then I was at 12 seconds flat; That was a year ago. I'm going to pick up where I left with my training and will keep on trying untill I beat my perssonal best of 11,26. My role model is Kim Collins that ran faster at 38 then when he won the gold when he was 22 or so. Crazy. I don' t know what the best time in the world is for someone as old as me. KIM Collins is a freak of nature. What's weird is that I've always noticed that when I was running, and got to top speed, I barely touched the ground and ran without a lot of efffort, like my legs were just wheels; when I said that to my gym teacher, who new nothing about sprinting except for the fact that "that was the way that it was learned by the experts; So I ran with good technique without learning it. I guess I wathced Carl Lewis so much that I just copied his style without realizing it. Last weekend I beat the fastest jung runners of the local soccer club. It's a bitter sweet feeling because I always wonder how I would have matched up if i WOuld't have had thoe back and knee problems due to the accident. I think that 10 seconds would have been possible.
9.93 for your age. Even at 60 the record is sub 12 seconds. A lot of very fast people out there
Great Video.
So you had a foam roller and a softball. Whats the other one ??? o.O
Newbie sprinter here. Can anyone explain why after an intense sprint session, my dreams are riddled with me running away from something, except i want to move fast but can't, it's though I'm stuck in jelly, or my muscles are not firing properly. It feels really weird. Does anyone else have that?
Would you recommend plyometrics and lifting work the day prior or the day following a speed session if you cant rest both the day before and after ?
Sorry for the delay. Its probably safer to sprint first before anything else, but I've know people who have success with lifting one day, jumping another, and sprinting the third day. Gotta pay attention to how the body distributes tone throughout the body and see if the jumps and lifts make you too tight to sprint at full blast.
Sir which shoes are better
Fuk yea, I want that speed. I need that speed. I will have that speed!!
VEEEEELOCITYYYY
Exalant speech
really good video I'm hoping to go from a 12.3 to an 11.3 and a 4.57 hand time to a 4.32 hand time. I'm 18 6ft 150lbs squat max 280, dead lift 230, bench press 120 and split jerk 70 wondering if you think I can do it. keep up with the great videos
also I'm new to the sport only been in it for 4 yrs 1 year training with a club coach but I got injured in January and have not ran since last week hurt my hip flexor and I have been seriously weight training for 2 months now just some more info for you
+Cody Bidlow thank you I'll send you a video of me sprinting
Iam a footballer and i need this video...
Thanks for watching!
Im also a footballer
It's hard work
Very well made and descriptive thanks for these!!
whats ur time in 100 m?
I timed his 1st 40 MTR going by this (without reaction time) is 11.0-11.1sec......
He said his PR is 10.66
Mine is 1 second, but I’ll have to admit it wasn’t entirely fair, because I was in a Ferrari.
Hey thanks for the comment on my channel . But why did you delete it? Anyway my sprinting days are over for now as I tore my patella tendon and retinacalum ligament from sprinting. Gonna take a long time for it to heal .Btw how did you come to know I was a sprinter? Eric Thomas video's comment section I guess?
tq sir
Thanks dude , that helped a lot
No BS I'm looking for help. In 9th grade I ran 11.81 in the 100m, over the summer I did some plyometrics and increased my vertical by 8 inches. Then I did cross country (which trains the wrong type of muscles) and my vertical went down 4 inches and I wasn't running as fast. Then sophomore year I ran 11.52 and 11.3 something. Probably because my muscles matured or sometimg, I didn't train. This off season I didn't do cross country and I started to sprint train, work on blocks etc. Which I've never done before! I got all my times from only easy plyos and talent. I'm going into 11th grade and want to know what time I should expect now that I've incorporated sprint training (hills, parachute, blocks) and cut out cross country.
I’d say low 11s sub 11, 10.7-10.9 with good technique
Nice vid I just didnt understand anything
Because your a bot at everything

Yeah I grew up in Santa Barbara, attending SBCC and coaching there after I graduated.
what if you're 400 lbs and cant find your hip? .... or belly button... :(
GrumblyAirMonk go vegan, you'll lose weight overtime
RIP
Great info and beautiful field , We would be homies.
Your 1st 30mtr was a 4.2sec not bad :)
How do you know it’s 4.2 you don’t know because you haven’t properly timed it. He’s faster than 4.2 Couse I run a 4.1
💯💯💯💯
Should you run with open hands or run with a fist
Who cares
Doesnt matter. Usain actually does both in the world record races he ran. He switches mid race prob bc he was overthinking.
Hey
But agility drill is exercises for coordination
Imagine training soldiers to do this too.
