❤ Dear Cody, thank you for your great work and all the valuable tutorials and classes you are sharing with the Bernina community. I subscribed to your channel a while back and watch every new video as soon as it comes out. When I watch your videos on the machines. It’s like having a one-on-one lesson. I am a handicapped man who lives in Germany. I love to sew and be creative since I was 8 years old. I sewed my first seams on my mothers Singer treadle machine. With time passing I owned many sewing machines but a few days ago my dream finally came trough and I now own a Bernina 570 QE. What a wonderful machine this is and what a joy to use for me as a disabled sewer. Your RUclips tutorials and classes are a wealth of information and knowledge, each and every one of them. As the local sewing machine shop in my town doesn’t carry the Bernina brand, I decided to purchase it online, meaning that I didn’t have the opportunity to get a beginner’s instruction. The way you explain the machines and their wonderful features is better and far more valuable for me than I could have ever imagined. So please let me thank you again for the excellent work you do. Greetings from Germany, Larry ❤
One of the things that put me off the 570 or 590 was thinking that I couldn't adjust the presser foot pressure myself, since it doesn't include 'manual' adjustment - I didn't realise that just meant no dial and that I could still adjust it if I wanted to. Fantastic! Thank you!
This is wonderful!!! The most thorough overview ever!! I just purchased the 570 QE E and I'm 2+ hours away from the dealer and this is so helpful. Thank you very much for your expertise.
Thank you for doing this vids. I will be picking up my 570QE tomorrow with embroidery module.. watching your overviews and tutorials really help me in understanding and knowing the features of the machine. I’m a subscriber for sure. 👍🏼
I am surprised BUT that’s why I am making as many videos as possible with all of the machines. I want to put as much content as possible out there for our BERNINA family.
Yay!! I just bought my 570 last week and couldn’t wait for you to get to the overviews :D still waiting for it to come in though. But can’t wait to start my classes.
You’re going to love it. Yes we are waiting for 570s to come in. Shouldn’t be too much longer. I’ve got more videos almost ready to be released. Also remember any 770 videos will apply to the 570. The machines are almost identical just the difference in size really. 😁
Sewing With Cody and Pete cant wait for those videos! These have been so helpful! Usually when people do review videos especially for the series they don’t point out the specifics. I would be looking at the brochure and have no idea what a feature was lol or the brochure said a model didn’t have something but then a review video would. So thank you thank you for taking the time to actually go through the brochures :) I’m learning so much more and I thought I had done all my research. Just in case I have thanked you enough 🤣 there may be more praised lol
I’m am so happy to hear it. We enjoy making and now editing the videos. I love sharing the BERNINA love. The machines are like no other and everyone needs to know that, so many people have BERNINA machines but they don’t use them to their fullest potential and I love showing anyone who will listen how to use every aspect of the machine and all of its wonders. 😁
Cody question about winding bobbin while sewing. I have new 590 crystal & was attempting to wind bobbin while sewing , had each thread on separate tension slot but it seemed to me the threads being crossed over each other would be problematic, so I stopped sewing to wind bobbin. Your explanation Would be helpful. I love your videos Thanks
Sometimes winding a bobbin while sewing/embroidering can be problematic in the case you’re mentioning with the threads getting tangled with each other. I would recommend either using a separate thread stand or the multi spool holder for one thread and have the other on the horizontals spool pin. Preferably have the thread that’s going into the machine on the horizontal spool pin and the one for your bobbin on the thread stand. The one from the thread stand use the thread clip on the top of the machine then go to the bobbin tensioner then go to your bobbin. The threads shouldn’t come in contact then. Hope this makes sense 😀😀
I am looking at a Bernina 570 today. Bernina is offering a special with purchase of this machine right now. You can either get a Bernina L450 OR get the embroidery module free with purchase. I have never used either and not sure which I would actually use more. Looking for opinions. Thank you!
Good Questions. Both of those are GREAT options I usually advise my customers to go with the embroidery unless they could use a serger BUT we are big into embroidery at our shop. The Bernina L450 is a nice serger "personally I love the L460" but the L450 is very nice too. But if you don't do any garments or any projects that you sometimes thought "I wish is could nicely finish these seams to make them look more professional" then maybe a serger isn't for you. However I've pieced a quilts using a serger, it's nice because the seams and nice and clean. But usually I am using a serger when I am sewing cloths it's almost a must!!! Now whats nice about the embroidery module is your machine "future" machine is fully ready to embroider just need the module and hoops that come with it. There is a lot of things you can do with embroidery that are a lot of fun. But some people don't enjoy embroidery. So it is a tough call to really say. Lastly, the module for the 570 and the L450 are about the same price the module might be just a hair more expensive. Hope I was some help. :)
I get fussed at from my higher up in BERNINA but the 880 in my opinion isn’t a user friendly machine and because it’s different innovations it need servicing more often and because of its complexity it cost more to service. But when she works she works beautifully and is like no other. She isn’t for every sewer, you need patience. Hopefully this helps.

I am so happy my videos are helping you. If you have any questions just let me know. I’ll be happy to help.
I’m thinking about purchasing one is it user friendly? Good lighting and easy to thread? I hated my Huskqvarna Topaz and returned it.
