I cannot tell you how many times I heard, "I never said that." As if I couldn't trust my ears or my memory. Laughable now, but it was confusing then. I literally wondered if he had suffered an injury and had memory loss at one point. Never did I question my own memory, but I was confused because I was trying to rationalize the inconsistencies without accepting they were just LIES.

Angela C Omgoodness I hear that whole “ I never said that” thing all the time. Then I start explaining and he laughs or walks away. I’ve gotten so angry and frustrated that I tell him I’m going to start recording our conversations.
Sweetie I went to a Neurologist thinking I was getting early onset like my mother did. She ran me through a quick battery of tests for my memory, balance etc. She asked if I had been under a lot of stress lately and I said well "just settling in after our (then) 14th move. She paused asked if we were military and I said no it's just something he does-about every 17 months to us. She used to work with at risk women and proceeded to tell me that was a huge red flag. She finished up with me and had her assistant hand me some literature on my way out-it was a pamphlet for the domestic abuse hotline and resources. Ladies I went to my vehicle and cried for a good hour and a half maybe longer because somewhere buried in my mind I knew it was all true.
I allowed myself to be gaslit to the point I almost made him my physical and mental health proxy. He absolutely would have put me away thousands of miles from my family. That was April 2019. I am now on my own-rebuilding-and the courts and God saw fit to give me legal recourse for all the years I wasted waiting for him to: grow up, change, find himself, rediscover himself, find himself again and again. Future faking at it's worst. The making you think you're mentally incapacitated by taking advantage of a blood relatives diagnosis is absolutely demonic. I have cut him and other soul ties out in Jesus's name Amen!! 🙏
Be accountable. The warning signs are always there and take heed to them. You become uncomfortable for a reason. Be wise and ask a higher power for discernment.

I dated him for 5 years & broke up with him 3 years ago and still dealing with the last little bit of the soul tie while he has moved on had another baby & dated other people.
The beautiful things about the soul tie is I learned so many lessons about myself & my family dynamic that played a role in who I dated relationally, but the soul tie hurt so bad!!! God told me not to date him, but I did what I wanted to do anyways.
I had to forgive myself & that was the hardest thing I ever had to do!!

l literally just broke up with someone myself last night after 5 years plus, soul tie is there and im praying my prayers to break it. God told me not to go there and just like you i did not listen, God gave me dreams and even sent strangers to talk to me and i still was disobedient. This person WAS good looking talked what i needed to hear as i was single for over 10 yrs and was damn lonely and needed attention. For the last 4 years he can barely keep a job, does not have his own place and to be honest i think there is depression and low self esteem present (i also have low self esteem), now he literally looks like he is deteriorating both physical and mentally. i made so many excuses knowing there was no productive future and i was willing to still pursue this madness. looking back at this man properly loved bombed and hijacked me, callings, messages, im outside your house in the car come outside ...everything and i jumped like a rabbit every time. i dreamt this man before i even knew him, in my dream he was pursuing me but i was feeling so anxious i tried to run but he grabbed me and caused me to fall and i woke up. GOD is so great and i have been a fool.

5 years was to long. I let it go and life is so much better. I also learned that I had became depressed. My house was looking ran down on the outside a dark cloud, so the inside was feeling the same way. Now that I let go I have so much energy and my house is looking better. WOW! I needed to hear this. I feel sick on the inside bc of hoping and praying for things to be a certain way. Why do I keep falling for this?! I am moving on. This man came into my life 2 years ago when I was at my most vulnerable state and he love bombed me like crazy! I lost myself being with him. He was emotionally unavailable. I begged this man to spend time with me and he gave excuse after excuse then I got pregnant! I can’t believe my life is like this! When our daughter turned two months he broke up with me then wanted to try again then another two months after he broke up with me again. I was broken. I cried for two months straight. While we were broken up he kept telling me he didn’t want me but kept breadcrumbing me thinking there was hope for our family just to pull back everytime I get close enough to think we are moving in a better direction. He will constantly throw in my face he’s single and there’s no guarantee we will get back together. This pain hurts but I am so done. I am no longer settling. I deserve better than this!!! Chan Courtney I don’t know exactly how you feel because I don’t have any children, but my ex boyfriend did something similar to me. He left me in so much confusion, he’d lie and say he loved me and then he’d break up with me, then try to get back together or sleep with me or string me along. I’ve cried so much, and analyzed everything I said but we’re blessed because the lord removed them from our lives.
The man God has for you would never hurt you, and you wouldn’t feel like you were settling. He would be emotionally secure and uplifting but we have to be that for ourselves first and trust in Jesus. It’s okay to still hurt and to cry, but just know that the future is filled with blessings. If you still want your child to see him, you can have another person drop them off and pick them up but I suggest zero contact between the two of you. Don’t let him inside your house, and focus on your goals/becoming the best version of you that you can be, and giving your child love. Don’t worry, he’s not going to get away with it he will reap what he’s sown and you’ll be happy and healed.
Sky Andrews yesss!! The only thing I can do is move forward and let go. There’s no way he loved me like he said he did to treat me as he did. This whole breakup has been more stressful than I can imagine and come to find out he was sleeping with women all along this whole time while we were still dealing with each other. I broke down bc I had a miscarriage this year! All he could say to me was “you could’ve said no if you suspected I was doing that” I went off and I said I trusted you! I had no reason not to trust you even though we weren’t together and you blatantly lied to get what you wanted. Selfish as all get out.

Sorry dear but it doesn't work that way in a real relationship. It's subtle flattery, so called giving and sharing of his heart with deep secretive and intimate things like a true partner or lover would give. It's being romantic and loving except there is undying deception. So basically it can come in a normal loving relationship form in disguise. Naturally he won't act all stalkerish otherwise you would know up front you're dealing with the wrong person. This love bomb thing takes time and patience from a man to reel you into it. It takes God to show you a lot of the time.

And don’t feel bad cuz me too and we were friends then he kept talking about how we were gonna get married and he loved me but he was always busy I would I always ask him to visit me let’s hang out he would always say he was busy or he would plan something then never follow through and because I was in an abusive relationships as a teen and met him after I divorced my kids dad who was a narcissist well then I met this new guy this year knowing him 23 years and I hadn’t seen him in 3 years I made the decision to walk away and never speak to him again he wouldn’t hear from me then would call me and ask if I was still celibate thank you Jesus I stayed celibate for 10 years 11 this year and didn’t give in to him he wouldn’t say one thing and never do it he wouldn’t never follow through and ALWAYS had a reason or excuse or blame stuff on me

Now I'm seeing my younger brother in the same trap with a narcissistic woman. She is deceitful and manipulative and it is hard to watch. This is so helpful... I'm coming out of a relationship that was going nowhere after 5 months of dating. I felt like I was being strung along.. could see lack of consistency and emotional distancing after we became intimate sexually. I ended it and blocked the person. The trick is, you never make the investment back. It was a bad business deal. Go forward with wisdom. Figure out what is broken in you that allowed you to be treated that way. At least it was only 7 months.
