Florida, in general, is a very successful state, with a very high GDP growth rate and GDP per capita compared to their cost of living. Literally they corner off neighborhoods so you meet one every way in or out at every time of the day. I live in Lee county Florida as a 10th grade student, I go to a high-school that's featured multiple times in the video through the clips and marcino has made a difference I've lived in lee for most of my life it went from so dangerous to so safe, my high-school used to be one of the worst in the country to one of the best, my principal is close to marcino and lcso if you are in school and they know you did a crime they will take you out during the middle of the school day to embarrass you to make you regret what you did. I also got to visit the main office of the department in 8th grade to see what they were like and we only saw a little and what little we saw was so advanced and amazing.
He’s now officially my second favorite FLA Sheriff. Sheriff Grady Judd of Polk County, is still my favorite. Two different styles and approaches, but they’re both VERY effective! Well done FLA boys!
The reason they spend so much is that Lee County has 820k people, 250k in ft myers alone, 300k in the massive suburb that is Cape Coral, and the other 400k are spread around in an area of 800 something square miles
They give teachers guns too in a program called the "Guardian Program" so in possibility almost every admin official can/could be armed, they have metal detectors at every entrance, and the county south of there, Collier County, the officers at a lot of the schools will live there so that they can patrol the school at night while they live on the roof in a small house.
i’m barely 22 and have already lost 2 friends and my best friends mother to fentanyl. I really hope one day everyone can share the same passion to get fentanyl off the streets.
Sadly this isn’t how we take care of it. I’ve lost twice as many friends and family and have probably given narcan to at least 2-3 people a month at my job in FL and it continues to only get worse. And I can tell you this, I work (summers) clear across the country in Or and it’s nowhere near as bad as it is in Fl. I worked Ca one year (2020) and that was the worse I’ve seen hands down, but Fl is bad….. I dunno. Perhaps the state should focus more on treating addiction and giving addicts an option to get better vs chucking them in jail for a few hours or into treatment centers that do not care and shuffle them around from place to place until their insurance or money runs out. That’s how it’s dealt with here. My neighbor died four years ago because he couldn’t get on Subutex or whatever it was called to get him off that fent crap because the state refused to give it to him. He couldn’t afford inpatient treatment (nobody can btw), so his only option was will power? If only it was that simple…. He was 19. His addiction began not even a year prior to his death. What a waste.
Can you imagine at a time cops once cared about their cities and counties like this guy? Now guys like this would get fired in L.A. and SF Counties and in other liberal cities
Can you remember when people quoted Orwell about 1984? Now people love Big Brother... it's hilarious, they created a problem so you would accept Big Brother to protect you haha
This is unhinged, wanting Big Brother everywhere because you like militarized police. Look in the backgrounds you chimp, these citizens are not living well and their police act like their suppressing terrorism. How about spend that money on something that actually does some good?
I want to hate this because of the amount of power they have to potentially abuse, but they really seem to have a grip on this. We should be giving more power to working class people like this, instead of leaving things up to politicians who get escorted everywhere and have never even walked down the street alone. These hardworking middle class people are the people who actually care, and hold other people’s best interests over their own.
I don't think it has to do with that, wanting your police to be effective is simply what's right (and something you should see reflected in your tax %)

I hate to admit that this is his BEST video. He has CONSISTENTLY gotten better. He can't hide his own preferences & perspectives. He is not a very good actor imo. But he has been consistently putting out real info that is NOT easily accessible elsewhere. He may look down on poor people & take advantage AS MUCH as he can; & have his own particular perspective... but he is doing MUCH BETTER than ANYONE could have expected, in his position. He has cut down on the inauthenticity & had found his niche. He has (whether intentionally or not) became a real journalist. Good job! Thank you.
I share your perspective on this, he definitely has prejudice and biases that he is bad at hiding but he indeed provides content that is real and hard to find, and the content itself is not completely influenced by his biases, only what he says haha so I feel the same. He definitely takes advantage of situations but at the same time provides a clear insight on a topic that was most likely difficult to grasp/contextualise on our own.
I don’t think he looks down at poor people at all. He has shown compassion to homeless people in multiple videos. I do get the feeling he doesn’t like police, so I am glad he is showing them in a positive light here
Lots of differences. It is not as advanced. Has 4 legs instead of 6. It can't sniff people out. It doesn't that the extending needle. It is very impressive regardless.

I went to school with him and he seemed to just be like any other kid, but ended up getting arrested as you can see in the African-American officer his name is Matthew and he was super nice guy. I met hima lot at my school
I like the concept of the Sheriff department, an elected person by the people that can hold him accountable unlike a police chief who is beholden by a Mayor's agenda.
So that's the interesting thing about Florida. We have both. For example, I live in Lee County, and I'm just outside the city limits of Fort Myers in unincorporated land. If I was inside city limits, Fort Myers Police Department would respond. And it's exactly like you say. I much prefer being outside the city.
Almost every state is like this. Every important office at the county level is an elected position. Everything from the judges to the local dog catcher.

A School Threat Enforcement Team is INSANE 💀
1984 is also a documentary nowadays.
Uvalde wouldn't have happened under this guy.
Why is keeping schools safe "insane?"
@@FireForEffect1533it's insane that it's necessary for something like that.
@@rhamsus1 What a shitty thing to say
I like the concept of the Sheriff department, an elected person by the people that can hold him accountable unlike a police chief who is beholden by a Mayor's agenda.
So that's the interesting thing about Florida. We have both. For example, I live in Lee County, and I'm just outside the city limits of Fort Myers in unincorporated land. If I was inside city limits, Fort Myers Police Department would respond. And it's exactly like you say. I much prefer being outside the city.
Exactly
Almost every state is like this. Every important office at the county level is an elected position. Everything from the judges to the local dog catcher.
This cop is literally 1984 enthusiast
But is he ? What seems and what is, wind two sundered Things altogether.
Wife involved in a hit a run was told there weren’t cameras at the intersection smh 😂

criminal's funding the police such irony (edit wow over 500 likes)(edit can you pin me)
Now imagine the cops being the ones who sold the drugs to the criminals in the first place, more profit! CIA knows all about this.
Criminals funding other criminals
