If a defense attorney can get a guilty man off, a prosecutor can get an innocent man convicted. Pretty sure Tyler just described the entire concept of lawyers in the title, they’re supposed to defend criminals, that’s what right to a fair trial is. It’s not a fair trial if there’s only one lawyer, there has to be another lawyer to defend the criminal. It’s not Jayoma’s fault for doing his job. That’s how the system works. That’s why if you get arrested, you can say “I won’t talk without a lawyer”. They have this rule for this exact reason, to defend people being persecuted. If you think about it, innocent people have also been freed from this, the alternative is that even if you’re innocent and framed, it’s far harder to defend yourself without access to a lawyer
