TODAY I WE ARE INSTALLING A SET OF GRAVES BLOCK OFF PLATES ON THE ZX6R. THESE PLATES ALLOW THE REMOVAL OF THE BIKES AIR INDUCTION SYSTEMS. IF YOU HAVE A EXHAUST I REALLY RECOMMEND THIS MOD IT GOES HAND IN HAND WITH TUNING THE BIKE AFTER EXHAUST OR INTAKE. ALSO THIS INTALL WILL CLEAR UP SOME OF THAT ENGINE CLUTTER AND FREE UP SOME SPACE WITH THE OPEN SPACE THE MORE COOL AIR CAN GET IN THERE COOL DOWN THAT AIR BOX JUST SAYING. WITH ALL THAT SAID IT JUST REMOVES THE AIR BEING ADDED TO THE EXHAUST SYSTEM AT LOW RPMS OH OH AND IT'S A WEIGHT REDUCTION LOL
THE TORQUE SPEC IS 15LBS

You were not supposed to remove the Reed valves, the 2 square valves under the pair system. The Graves block off plates were designed to keep them as a gasket. You may have a air leak and not know it.

You can remove (unscrew) the reed valves; however, you have to keep the frame with the rubber gasket to seal the block-off plates. You will have a large vacuum leak without these.
What about the Paige valve ? Did you have to do something? My bike has check engine because of that thing
I have a PSE-01, the pir system eliminator thing, does that go into the thing u tucked away or where does that go so u know?
The thing I tuck away is for the pair valve but I don't have one now so it's not used for anything
This may be a stupid question but do you not have to remove the gas from the gas tank before removing the tank?
You do not I did for recording purpose only it's hard to record what I'm talking about with the tank propt up..... good question tho

You didn’t put some kind of sensor or plug on the sensor you tucked away for the smog system. Did it throw a code?
No no the sensor was disabled no need for it
Did you remove the reeds and also any problems leaking without a gasket?
Don't know what the Reed is but I did remove the pair valve completely and the senor no issues at all

No no no they did not turned out great
If you didn't do anything with the plug from the pare valve but, tuck it away. How are you not getting a code?
It is disabled there is nothing going to or from it to the ecu
@@jjmax2007 so you mean you had the ecu flashed to eliminate codes before you took off the pair valve or the stock ecu without a flash isn't sensitive enough to detect that the pair valve isn't connected?
I did this on my 2020 ninja 650. Now I have a check engine light on. Any tips. Nice air filter too btw. Where’d you get it.
Oh snap the video before this is a ECU flash done to the bike that you have to do..... or get a pair deleted jumper clip the intake filter is from WMR web site direct just a heads up it requires much service

Block off plate limit flames sadly and that’s why I’m on the fence
It dose but the flash I have on the bike allows the bike to still show flames on decel pretty cool

Yes yes you can but this is only taking the excessive oxygen from the exhaust

@@RimaxiRuckall that will do is turn the check engine light off. Don't waste money on that just send your ecu in somewhere and get it flashed. Besides a simple muffler and air filter will give you negative 20hp because the bike runs so darn lean from factory as it is. These are small engines, it is not like a car that you can put a muffler on without a tune, the bike will run like crap.
Any performance gains?
No no no..... just less air in the exhaust for emissions regulation better for tunes

No real benefit its mainly used for tunes or dyno remove the extra air from the exhaust...... it dose not make the bike faster or anything
there is a benefit. and more important that he is giving for a dyno. the extra air used to burn un-burned fuel AFTER a tune, means more air will be added that the map was not designed for, thus running lean and incorrectly. among that, it helps kill the popping (lean) that a bike produces which trust me sounds dope, but harmful especially on the track
@@jcraff3 What happens if you install and after market Exhaust and don't flash the ECU, Install block off plate?........Can some install an after market Exhaust and block off plates and not Flash the ECU? does all bike produce popping sounds after install after Market Exhaust ?
