Ingredients
For Meringue
5pcs. L. Size eggwhites
1cup white sugar
1/4tsp. Cream of tartar
1tbsp. Corn starch
5pcs. Eggyolks Large size
1can 390g. Condensed milk( any brand)
1/2pack 250ml. all porpuse cream
1tbsp. Corn starch
1/4tsp. Salt
1tbsp. Vanilla
1tbsp. Margarine/butter
Baked for pre heated oven 170c'
In 15-18mins or until golden brown

Hi, thanks for this recipe I legit follow all the steps that are stated and want to share my adjustments. 😊
Instead of 390g condensed milk, I used 290g (it differs from you preference but I swear 390g is too much its way way too sweet)
instead of baking time 15-18 mins, I suggest to make it 10-13 mins. cause 15 mins of baking will make your meringue hard like the meringue candy. 10-13 mins is the perfect texture for a brazo de mercedez recipe.

@@harjitmendoza7195 I think po pag ginamit po natin yung caserola tapos po ilagay po yung brazo doon before heating tapos takpan po yung lid in low temperature I think lang po.

Hi, you can replace vanilla extract to lemon extract sa custard niyo. Mas masarap siya and na babalance out yung sweetness kahit 1 can ng condensed milk gamitin. Tried this recipe and masarap siya, depende na lang sa process kung paano mo siya gawin esp sa meringue. ☺️

Thanks for the recipe. I tried making brazo with a different recipe, much simple kesa dito, no corn starch tapos yung filling nya condensed, egg yolk at vanilla lang, pero I want to try it with corn starch din. I learned something from your video. It's always a trial and error when making recipes at nagcocollect ako ng ideas. More power!

tip: dont use plastic container when beating eggwhites. pinapabagal nito ang pagstiff ng eggwhites. mas okay ang metal at mas napapabilis ang process.

LOVE this recipe! I did make a slight change sa custard because I think 1 tbsp of vanilla was too much so I used 1 tsp instead. Otherwise, it's awesome kasi it's not as sweet as the other ones where they use condensed milk, vanilla, and egg yolks lang. Also, I must say using cornstarch was such a great idea! It did wonders to make both the custard and meringue hold their shape. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! Thank you for this, nanay! ❤
PS. Is it possible to use (unwhipped) Heavy Cream as a substitute for All Purpose Cream? I'm from Canada and it's almost impossible to buy them from the stores because they're sold out most of the time. If they are available they cost $4.50 CAD for a 170ml can. Please let me know. 😊
Heavy cream is much better quality than apc and more expensive. Phils use apc because it is more convenient and what is available for us

Nakupo sarap naman. Naalala ko nung high school, lagi ako pinapagawa ng Nanay ko Brazo de Merceses pero yung pahaba, pinapamigay namin sa kamag anak. Bibili ko ng mga gami, para makagawa ako next week.
