I'm not an artist (not even as a hobby) but my curiosity directed me into trying to animate something. Found this tutorial and within 10 hours I could do a very simple animation! Thank you for sharing this workflow that's so simple to reproduce! I'll certainly see animated shows in a different light now!
It's always nice to watch professional animator sharing their knowledge... I animate using Clip Studio, but I can see the potencial of OT or Tahoma... Thank you for the tutorial.

DUDE I freaking loved deca-dence, one of my favourite shows of all time! Was not expecting to find a tutorial from a deca-dence animator, thats dope. You did a fantastic job, I love her character design and expressive animations so much!
wow thanks man. Always wanted to learn animation but this is so easy and simple to follow. I tried listening to other opentoonz tutorial but they were all long winded and over complicated. You got down to the point and even showed some industry standard stuff to learn from .

I love this kind of tut when you understand that the professionnals are at a level so much higher than you, that your own tutorials seems to be so childish. Thanks for sharing your knowledge Dong... Please, please, do more like this one with Opentoonz for us...
This is a really great tutorial! I find myself learning the most from tutorials where I can see the workflow of professionals, and this provides exactly that.
Traditional isn't dying out, there's clearly monstrous demand for it. The problem is profitability and time, and the fact there just aren't enough skills animators who can animate characters in one or two passes.
traditional animation keeps strong because japanese animation. they even bring the traditional animation and mix it with digital. and now vtuber culture booming. digital animation is all about the west. for now..
Its not dying out traditional animation is just a method to express art. Its like saying ppl don’t use claymation anymore. Also, not sure what u meant by traditional cuz that would be done on paper. I think the accurate comparison is raster vs vector animation and raster animation is actually very popular. If u ever seen vector animation it sorta gives u like paper cutout style animation. But either or, depends on the persons tastes their both good raster is better imo
You are a very very heavily misinformed gullible fool with no base knowledge. Traditional/2d Animation is very far from "Dying out" is is still being utilized everywhere as well as other animated methods that its existing alongside with it. How about doing your research before coming off as an misinformed fool.
YOU are amazing. This kind of guide on how to use the software / how you plan your animation is exactly what I've needed. I've always been intimidated by planning sheets and multiple colors in the sketch, but you make it look so easy I want to jump right in! You're the only tutorial I've found on RUclips that is willing to show everything (not just jump-cut to: *finished product!!!*). I seriously mean it when I say that this helps tremendously. Thank you for your work and I wish you the best in the future. Subbed.
