Such an important topic! Being a physical therapist movement is what we educate our patients on but sadly the biggest hurdle is getting people to change. Majority of people today live such sedentary lives either out of convenience, comfort or lack the knowledge on how important movement is to age gracefully and maintain our independence in our aging years. I find it very depressing how often retired individuals call it quits as “I’ve worked hard my whole life now it’s time to rest” and spend most days glued to a chair in front of a TV all while still expecting their bodies to not fall apart from lack of movement🤯🤯🤯 Anyway…..😂😂😂 keep up with putting out such amazing content🙏💫☺️

Thank you for your encouragement!! ☺️ I couldn't agree more. I think it's such an important topic too. It is unfortunate that many people don't prioritize movement now and as we age. But my hope is that I'm able to bring awareness to the fact that movement is much more than just exercise, and that even the small habits every day surrounding movement can make a difference to our health.

You are absolutely right, I'm 63 years old, and I have a spinal injury, still able to walk, but in pain, the VA put me on a pain patch, which makes me tired and not want to do anything, I have been sitting a long time and I have lost a lot of my abilities in a short amount of time, so everyone do what she says before it's too late

This was a great video. I adore Katy Bowman's work!
It is so beautiful where you live. I will admit that I am a baby about snow and cold.

Thank you!! I put a lot of work into this one.
It's my first year living in the mountains and I have to say I feel much more motivated to get out in the snow than when I was living in the city.

Really interesting. I'm fortunate in that my home backs up to National Forest land so I walk daily in nature. I believe I'll incorporate prehistoric style movements today, perhaps climb a tree. Thanks!

Love this video. Movement is so important. You are right. Our natural Movement is taken from us as a means of control. I appreciate this content and also the number of acoustic guitars you habe laying around. Thank-you 🙏

It’s so sad that we find shameful to move in a natural to us way.
