Got myself really worked up there. I love animals, I want all pets that humans owned to be treated with dignity and kindness, but this coombrained goblin is why we can't have that.
I have a question: how did you make your dog eat a corpse? In my 1500 hours on Kenshi I have never managed to achieve that. Best they do is grab a loose limb. Also a tip which I use for training my bonedogs: send them to Fog Islands and let them roam freely. Dead Hivers don't eat animals, only use blunt weapons, so no risk of bleeding out even when they knock the dogs out, and they lose limbs easily, so there's a constant supply of arms and legs to chew on. A pack of bonedogs that have been leveled up from the pup stage in Fog Islands is truly a terrifying force once they emerge as adults or elders. They can tear whole city's population apart. Yes, it is a viable strategy to play, albeit a bit monotonous.
I have finally found the answer. I use a mod called feed them to the dogs and more dogs ( or any mod that allows dogs to eat corpses) . This allows the dog to eat the corpse of the person but you need to have limb dismemberment on frequent or they won’t come off and it only has a chance to fall off.
Despite the limitations of playing this character you seem to be calm about it and relaxed enough to divert your attention to things like podcasts. He is a serene doge, if you will.

Play as a beastmaster hermit, just keep one animal owner that stays in his own camp and trades with who comes by. Once the base is made and u have like 5 dogs it starts getting more fun
Interesting. This almost makes me want a modder to step up to the plate and make a modular/customizable style "Let Player Controlled Animals Do Human Actions" mod. Something that would give this bonedog a workable inventory, potentially the ability to talk to npcs and some various other things that you could totally make role-playing scenarios out of.
This gives me an idea for a mod. Alpha bonedog: just a regular bonedog but it can interact with the world. Have one or two of them in your group so you can recruit more bonedogs or pay taxes.
"But they won't try to devour me alive if they beat me." Flashback to yesterday when my dog got taken down on it's own and the message "Hungry bandits is butchering your dog for meat." shows up.
This gives valuable insights into dog-ness. "Make sure nobody gets aggro-ed by you... otherwise you might lose a leg for good." So that's why dogs are so nice to people all the time.

I would love to see a longer version of this challenge. Maybe a mod that lets you recruit other dogs and sleep, but keeps the rest of the limits so no trading, doors, or bandage. I think the limiting factor for your pack would be hunger, depending on the hunger rate. Sure you would be strong, but a big pack would need regular kills!
