To quickly start if you ever need help with runs just hmu! To add some stuff in the Skeleton Doc in Mongrel can be robbed and he'll even trade with you again ~5hrs later. The guards don't care and so long as you leave fast enough he won't attack you. You can build a Crossbow locker (Free research, Gear storage under CORE unlocks it) and it only costs 1 Iron Plate. Any item put inside a Crossbow locker (All items can be put inside funnily enough) lose the stolen tag allowing you to sell stuff back at full price! (Not including items which sell for less normally like food armour or robotic limbs) I use this trick in tedious runs like an Iron Stick/Iron Club/Staff runs. Runs where the run will be a grind so we just rush past the money gathering part of the run. Dude I love how you covered the trick! Fun fact if you have no legs and take off your arms you can steal without getting attacked by the cannibals as a Skeleton :) I actually did the Impossible Start Insane Edition (Plus) run on stream the other day and it's thanks to Cannibals being kinda chill with limbless Skeletons that makes the run possible. The thievery chance in Mongrel is always 100% for all shops when stolen from the doctor :) Even with 0 Thievery. You can swim as a Skeleton if you want and you'll go 6.711mph in the water even when encumbered to speed it up a lil bit :) And yes KLR limbs are as I usually describe them... Overpriced paperweights. They are so bad but sell for a decent amount :) If you want to hit around 300k before day 4 with 100% success do Holy Nation Citizen (Start in Stack, if you get placed in Bad Teeth restart), lure bulls/dogs to town and sell their stuff to purchase traders wooden backpack and wooden sandals. Keep a corpse held and fill up on water at the well in town. Head to skinners roam (East). When you get next the the Holy Mines save and load the game. The corpse will despawn but you keep the 2x str xp for encumbered bonus. Take backpack off to get above 70% encumbrance. When at Skinners Roam aggro a 42 Starving bandit squad and then sneak to lose them. Then sneak behind them. Easy 1 - 85+ stealth in a few game hours. Then sneak to Narkos Trap (North east of Skinners Roam kinda) and when (Day 2) 23:00 comes around drop all the water, take off your backpack and clothes which will buff your stealth by 1.2x (Naked bonus) putting you to 100. Enter the lab section by unlocking the door. Unlock all containers and as you loot stuff put them in your backpack and take if back off right after. Grab a single pair of tools from a container to unlock the highest level container at the top. There are 4 ancient safes, position yourself behind them in the corner to hide. It will be day time by the time you leave. You should have ~18 to 19 str by this point so once the ancient safe at the top has below 60 shown you can "use strength" to break it the rest of the way. You can put any "stolen from security spider" items inside a safe and then back out to remove the "stolen from" bug from them. I suggest looting all 3 AI Cores, 2 engineering research, ancient science books, the map, CPU units, Repair kits, Robotic Components, Skeleton Muscles and Skeleton Eyes you find. Then just wait until it's safe to sneak out. If you really wanna be sneaky you can drop your bag on the walls in some parts and sneak out then pick it up on the other side. Or just R-Trick towards Blister Hill. Drop 3 AI cores (I keep them in my inventory) and any other illigal stuff you can't fit in your bag on the ground and take your bag off and enter blister hill. Sell any legal items there. Clothing store almost always has 25k. Armour store can have 25k too but less often. Then leave town, pick your bag back up and head to Mongrel. Sell the rest there. You should be able to run at full speed towards Mongrel. I do my runs as a Scorchlander because they are my favorite organic race and with sandals I have no issue outrunning fogmen even with 1 athletics. Sorry for the wall of text 😅
after AI replaced his job in the music industry, Stealy Dan was forced to turn to a life of petty crime. truly one of the saddest “where are they now” i’ve seen.
I got this idea from watching FrankieWuzHere, who makes these incredible Kenshi guides you really need to check out if you haven't already: ruclips.net/video/PS5ny3hBqx0/видео.html STEALY DAN!!!
Frankie is my go-to Kenshi content creator game-knowledge wise. Guy's a bipedal Construction Set encyclopedia. He also regularly streams complete Kenshi speedruns, well worth a watch on twitch if you want to see how to truly break basegame Kenshi. He's also an extremely chill guy.
Just so you know, the reason you were being caught is because the game puts a "committing crime" 3-second counter on you the instant after you commit thievery (and other crimes), and you need to stay undetected for those three seconds before it's okay for others to see you. Obviously, for something like kidnapping though, you want to avoid *ever* being seen until you've dumped your quarry.
Stealy Dan used his pretzel logic, found himself in my old town, on Black Friday. He met Peg because she had the deacon blues, they drank some Cuervo Gold and he stole her bad sneakers. They were reeling in the years when they met Kid Charlemagne, who suggested that they do it again.
@@bingojed8476 Except his Cousin Dupree was there having a Black Cow with the Babylon Sisters, he told them "after Everything You Did, Any Major Dude will Tell You to starting over is a Royal Scam." So they went to see Dr. Wu over in Barrytown who got them hooked on the Jack of Speed until they found themselves, two against nature, in the caves of altmira gaslighting abbie on a dirty work order from Josie.
Negative stat modifiers is a good thing in Kenshi. It allows you to train that skill as if you were a actually a lower level, and as such you gain more exp per action. So to efficiently train your stats, you want negative modifiers, not positive ones.

Hey guys I’m here to explain the stealy Dan joke. See skeletons are like robots and robots are made of steal. Now the joke is that he spelled steely wrong like the obscure band the Beatles did. When you steal something, you get the 'committing crime' debuff for a few seconds. If you're spotted by a concerned faction while you have that on, that counts as being caught in the act.
Dad brought me up on classic rock, punk, and psychedelic. Mom brought me up on 80s new wave. Step dad listened to classical music. Kids around me got me into hip hop. 28, i now go to raves. I have pretty wide range of music interests.
STEALY DAN TIP! In the Black Desert City limb shop, you can actually lockpick the safe and steal from it through the wall from where you were standing to get the chest. You may need to move slightly closer to the wall along the bed, but the safe will have the highest value items. It's hard to feel bad about it when you need to sell an arm and a leg just to put food table
"I am beginning to feel very old" it's worth it to know steely dan without having to look them up. a lot of things in the past weren't better, except for the music
When I first saw this video, I barely understood what was going on, but it inspired me to get Kenshi. Now that i've put 30 hours in, I can safely say that this video just makes sense, and is just regular Kenshi as it's intended to be played. Thanks aa.
Thing about stealth is that when you see a countdown of 3 seconds you have to wait til it’s gone then you are in the clear, apparently that’s how it works.

I got it. Night by Night is pure fire, same with all of Pretzel Logic
[Any Major Dude Will Tell You] about “Stealy Dan”
The music nerd in me is so pleased to see so many people glowing for the reference
Stealy Dan is a great name, very funny. I get it and I'm 25 so we're both old now
This certainly was a magic carpet ride
Man Stealy Dan sure is doing a whole lot of Dirty Work.
When I first saw this video, I barely understood what was going on, but it inspired me to get Kenshi. Now that i've put 30 hours in, I can safely say that this video just makes sense, and is just regular Kenshi as it's intended to be played. Thanks aa.
Glad it helped you find the game :)
I get the Steely Dan reference but only because my mother despises Steely Dan, I’ve never listened to a song of his.
0:47 lol I was grinning when I saw the title :)
Same
"You go back...Jack, do it agaaaain. Wheels turnin' round and round"
Love me some Steeley Dan
God Bless Stealy Dan
Thing about stealth is that when you see a countdown of 3 seconds you have to wait til it’s gone then you are in the clear, apparently that’s how it works.
Do not let Stealy Dan into your shop. He'll take an arm and a leg.
Hey man I launched my new account, I look for people who give it a try, I do silly Rimworld vids
Stealy Dan was a very good reference. Also you should continue his story to knock out Dan
