    Bill Mills gold medalist 1964 as a native American I can't imagine the challenges he had to over come with two culture to stay focus for the Olympics... a goal set an accomplished goal he believed in himself to win just amazing....

      Leroy Herder There's a movie about him, running brave. It's an incredible story, the movie isn't produced too well, but it does do a good job of conveying the incredible story of Billy mills.

      Bud Palmer and his sidekick were the announcers on TV who I don't know his name but when Billy Mills made that final kick they went crazy Bud Palmer's sidekick HOLLOWING "LOOK. AT MILLS :LOOK AT MILLS REAL LOOK ,THE MOST EXICITING BIT OF ANNOUNCING EVER for me thought sure they would for me

      Watch Running Brave. If you are really interested in his story, the movie accomplishes that well

    I still own a VCR due to all the VHS tapes I have of the Olympics. I just might part with them to the trash considering all the awesome footage that the Olympic channel offers. Thank you.

    I wasn't even born when Billy won the gold. But whenever I feel overcome by life, I simply watch Billy.

    Before the finish, very nice action on the part of Gammoudi of Tunisia he surpasses the two riders who are at the head by making a passage between them while they jostle and fight the first place without hampering his opponents

      It was part of a documentary that was filmed during the games called Tokyo Olympiad. The awful music was added later.

    Why did they allow SO MANY runners in A FINAL???? It is an incredulous number of runners, like a cross country meet! And weren't the LAPPED RUNNERS instructed BEFOREHAND to get the Eff out of the way???! Horrible set up BUT A GREAT AND HISTORIC WIN!!!
