- This is a video about the lore of Arcane Odyssey's latest update/expansion, known as the Dark Sea. It's a hellish place with lots of evil and creepy LORE (and gameplay that would make me cry.) So here's the lore of it I hope you enjoy lol (Intruder video later my bbg Pysocatine is busy with life :p)

I have a game to suggest it has a essay amount of lore it’s called world tower defense the enemies and towers have lore
And there’s also tower blitz
hi nol, i revisited cold truth and i found something. in i believe the first room, there was a turtle with a head on it in a small gap where the bathroom stalls end. this probably is a reference to breaking bad
EARLY WWW
hey not oof legacy wanna play tower battles? i have a chat in the list in ur roblox
The Arcane Odyssey To Awaken Your Deepwoken and find the Grand Piece at the foot of Mountfall under the Verdant Moon was truly set in a World Of Magic
OMG!!! ALL ME FAVORITE GAME REFERENCES!!! (Tis a joke) I actually really like it
It was all online fighting , tho.
It may have been, but let us never forget the Arcane Adventures of these Rogue Lineages.
@@inFayt_Lies a true adventure story.
You forgot King Calvus Legacy!
Enizor is planning to make a Philosopher's stone, an item coveted by real life Alchemists from ages past. It is an item said to be capable of doing anything the user wants to happen.
Includeing revive durza 😱😱😨😱😱😨😱😱
@@hazmamuffin1013 Enizor, nor anyone in the War Seas except maybe Randal know Durza even existed so how would any of them revive him?
@@lewisanimations4954 Durza's collected magic hitting a mountain is what caused the Dark Sea to appear. Those dark crystals are tiny fragments of durza's consciousness. This philosopher's stone will resurrect Durza.
@@graveltheblock5578 nice theory
He'll help us find Mimhere Island. /S
I may have an idea of what "force" overpowered the constant that sent spirits to the "Afterlife". This afterlife might actually be canon because of the addition of Elysium. Elysium is actually the Greek version of Heaven, and there's also Hades. But the thing is the Peacekeeper actually kills Hades after beating Durza which may be why dead Spirits are trapped in the Dark Sea and unable to go anywhere.
Iirc, the peacekeepers hasn't begun seeking out curses and killed hades yet in the ao lore
PK doesn’t kill Hades until after AO’s story
A friend pointed this out to me, but the stormsalt candles (new purple candles) you can obtain and build for your ship is also used by the Greenewish cultists at the Forest of Cernunnos.
And yes, for a game which heavily revolves around Greek Mythology as its base for lore, it also drags in several other mythologies. Throughout my playthrough I've noted Celtic mythology, French mythology, and Arthurian mythology (supposedly the celtic version, not the Christian one).
Arthurian is obvious: Mentions of King Arthur (referring to Arthur Cursebeard), Lancelot, and Agravain. The latter two are knights who served within Arthur's Round Table, so I guess there is a pirate-esque version of the round table going on around. Glad to see they still made Agravain hate Lancelot like in actual lore, though I wonder if his mother, Morgana (who is also the Lady of the Lake in some iterations) would play a larger role. Same with Arthur's Celtic villain, Vortigern. In Celtic lore Arthur inherits the power of the red dragon whereas Vortigern inherits the power of the white dragon. So if in AA/AO Arthur's inherited power is a total of 4 curses (Blaze, Spark, Tide, and Energy), I wonder if and how they would introduce somebody who has just as much power...
Celtic (or Irish, depending on how you like it) mythology is less obvious. Forest of Cernunno is named after the celtic deity of the underworld. It seems in AO that Cernunnos is a powerful traveling mage who is worshiped by his cult, according to Cernyx at least. I wonder if they'll expand further by adding other deities such as Mannanan mac Lir, who is the supposed "son of the sea" in Celtic mythology.
Least obvious is French. The term itself is awfully vague as I myself don't know which mythology we're specifically referring to, but from what I noticed in the UGC catalog for AO, Durendal is a thing in the AO universe, both the "true" and "corrupted" version. No clue if Roland, the original mythological user of the weapon, exists in the AO timeline since I didn't play AA as much, but I wouldn't be surprised if one of the rulers of the War Seas is an alteration/corruption of Charlamagne, a legendary king who actually has some real life implications who also had his own kinda "Round table." (And before you ask, yes, Astolfo is one of his knights, please do not remind me)
Not to mention that the Roman myth also appear in the game, I'm not sure but Ravenna is like (not really) The Roman Empire with magic
*pink haired armored femboy is canon to Arcane Odyssey, what a deepwoken we live in*
I know this is irrelevant and all and I'm sorry that, but as a fate grand order fan I could literally get 100% of those references, now I'm imagining the fate versions of these characters in AO 💀💀💀
Charlemagne ❤️❤️❤️
Edit: also ao just takes people from other mythologies and somehow fits them into ao lore. Ramses is the best example, but it would be cool if he didn't do that and kept the other gods, but then that would just be copying gowr
Don't forget to mention the CLEAR links to Norse mythology with Jotunheim, Wotan the Conqueror literally meaning "Odin" and Aesir being a group in Norse mythology where Thor and Odin are high rankers of said group
You should look into the description of some of the items, the explain some things that you brush over in this video.
Example: Atlantean Essence explaining the nature and reason of Atlanteans (how they came to be)
Also a thing I’ve noticed about your videos is that you mostly read off the obvious things people can either see or find themselves if they look far enough. Maybe that’s just me though, you do well in your videos
A theory I had about the npc's and why they are there is that they are other players who died in that same location they are found in just maybe in a different server. I am sure that is not the case but it would be cool.
i can’t breathe
The air taste like blood 🦍
NoL I have a recomendation for you, the game is called "Chain" is a horror/survival type of game and as far as my friend had told me it has lore! (The game it's not finished but part 2 is coming soon)
this truely was an arcane adventure in a world of magic
man haven't play AO for while now can't belive this update is this huge
I thought that the Dark Sea had something related to Atlantida and that's why the monsters are named Atlanteans. 💀
Mim-here was here... and he used his magic
4:22 this is the first direct reference to theos i’ve seen
also your tts scares me
my what
Also I don't think this is the same but randomly my boat glitches and when I get on my boat I'm flung to a place in the dark sea called "The Far Reaches."
i am crying right now arcane oddysey on a channel with more than 10k subs?!?!?!?! OH MY QUACKING GOD A BLESSING FROM THE LORD.
A ghost says "They called him Kingslayer... the Mist Walker... that beast like mercenary with a blade so evil..." my theory is that this is either a steam conjurer we will fight in Nimbus sea or beyond or it is refering to a character in Arcane Adventures.
It's not nimbus sea as its probably lore to do with the dark sea. Some beast going around killing sailors.
Mistwalker is a reference to torren, a concept of a character that was supposed to be the strongest being in existence barring chaos and other primordial forces, luckily this version was scrapped
Although idk what they're doing with referencing him here, he'll probably be more important than just being an overpowered guy thats stronger than everyone
@@Ragazalothhopefully another story significant character
@@RagazalothI feel like Torren is the aberration the basic combat mentor talks about but since he was retconned under a new name and appearance and a diff grand fire curse perhaps
Sirens are very annoying, but I’m glad vetex made them look ugly during the battle to prevent simping (noble but failed)
The kingslayer is Torren Corvus Cross (i think unless im remembering him wrong)
Agreed!
Ye that's right, sorta*
Torren is no longer canon so its somebody else
@@blob6602some ghosts talk about the "kingslayer" or the "mist walker" which are a few of torren's titles, so he is pretty much canon again
@@lorisliberatori1787 they probably replaced him with someone else, torren was too op for the lore
Let us dive in... seconds later (glitched out of the Boat) NOT RIGHT NOW! NOT RIGHT NOW! NOT RIGHT NOW! NOT RIGHT NOW!
Yes they were call the one shot pirates
guys the artifact enizor is crafting is a sea curse think about it, its a strong artifact that grants its user immortality and also great power its literally the description of a sea curse its in the games desc.
according to enizor it can also transmute materials into different ones and heal all forms of illness, its not a sea curse
Philosophers stone?
@@schnuckphantom5961healing curse?
You cannot make a curse, unless ur a god
@@titaniummechsx3324 or can you? They never say anything about not being able to make sea curses so maybe just maybe it's possible for Enizor to make a sea curse
So much lore I take screenshots and post them, screaming "LORE" all the time.
Anticipating for Nimbus Sea, level cap raise is confirmed, and I can finally take a wild guess at what is yet to come.
Also, I'm taking a break until the Nimbus Sea update is out. And that means Dark Sea traveling might have its compass (One day) point a new north in the War Seas (Dark Sea Compass ALWAYS points to the nearest sea section, and the reason why it only points to the Bronze Sea is because... that is the only available area we can safely cross). I'm not sure if Vetex will pull the same thing that means generating a new map layout to save lag (Like in AA/AR), but I shall see how it will go.
Man, I really saw the Pre-Underwater Update until now, lol.
You should make a video on the Innovation Inc games (spaceship and thermal power plant are the ones with the lore but are unofficial)
HEY NOT OOF LEGACY i havent seen u in 2 years since we ever played tower battles halloween, wanna play
u can also find npcs talking about the peacekeeper and about durza
I haven’t seen any talking about the peacekeeper I’m guessing you mistook the great protector for the peacekeeper but it’s actually theos who the great protector is

hey can you do guts and blackpowder lore vid
“Ok so this game is going to be a big adventure/odyssey and it will have arcane magic in it and it will be named arcane odyssey”
enizor quest is making the philosophers stone
babft looks a little different than i remember it
You forgot one thing... *mimhere island*
The epiccenter!!!
THE EPICCENTER IS REAL!!!!!! 🗣️
what if enizor wants to make a poison and asks us to drink and turn out hes the final high lord of aegir and we discorver in deepwoken layer 4 after he ask us to get 32 magus and 1 mochi to then destroy the statue being a summnoner and ending up he killing us but iris and king calvus saving us from enizor????
Out of all theories I’ve seen thus far about the plot of the game this one has the most credibility it makes perfect sense.
0:48 RIP NoL
he ded lol
I am sorry, but where's the video about The Intruder 5? I have been waiting weeks for it. You said this video will be after the intruder one. Where is it?
It's a colab with a friend and she's very busy atm, which has caused the video to be delayed
My apologies
@@NotOofLegacy Oh it's ok! Take your time.

Os seus vídeos poderia ser dublados porque eles são muito bons e outro problema também é que esse jogo só é conhecido aí fora, em países como o Brasil poucos jogam ele e por tanto quase ninguém fala sobre ele aqui
Ngl, every roblox games now kinda have these lore about them.
This series always had lore.
even during old Roblox
no they don't 💀?
can hardly think of any games that have lore only a few

King Arthur isn't the same as Arthur the Cursebeard since it was known that Cursebeard was a completely different guy than who the ghosts see king Arthur as. Ion wanna wrote a whole essay as a comment but I had an idea about there being 2-3 continents like back in wom and these ghosts n stuff and you pointing out how there's both a King Arthur and Arthur the Cursebeard in the game supports it.
It might be but it might not be
Curdebeard's full name is Authur Pendragon. I don't think we can get more King Authur than that.
