  • In this video I go over the lore of floor 2 and the backdoor sublevel that was added cuz of the hunt event. thankfully this isn't just Korblox stuff this is big lore about the story of doors and everything that happens in it. I hope you enjoy it!

    When you brought up a red light, I remembered something NO ONE talks about (probably because they all moved on), around 1-2 weeks after the Tower Heroes x Doors event released, there was a weekly challenge where you would use all the towers that have Doors skins and the premise was YOU were the entities trying to get the humans out of the hotel. The interesting part is that there was a red guiding light helping you. This means the red guiding light isn't on our side. You can write this off as non-cannon but there is in-game Doors evidence. The crucifix failing, could be seen as this red guiding light stopping our guiding light. Modifiers can be seen as red guiding light trying to make the hotel hell (which is LITERALLY THE NAME OF ONE OF THE BADGES) for you. The easy ones can be seen as false promises.
    TL;DR: Tower Heroes X Doors weekly where you'd play as the entitles had a red guiding light, which can be seen with modifiers and when the crucifix fails. The red guiding light isn't on our side though.

    The red light might be the hotel itself, it seems to be related to the modifiers and most of the modifiers make the game harder and the modifiers are unlocked after doing something like surviving eyes, so the hotel might go like "hey that wasn't fun to watch for the both of us why dont we make it harder?" another evidence is the crucifix doesn't work on seek and figure and as it breaks it turns *red* like it's own way of saying "dont do that, it's not fair and not fun"

      also when you use the modifiers and go to room 60, the painting will change and reveal a blue moon and a red mods symbol. Also there is a red wall blocking the door to the rooms and the wall has the same texture as the rifts. The more % mods you put, the painting changes and the red mods symbol gets bigger at 150% mods I think

    Separate comment for an unrelated note, but I think the blue light flashing in the mines teaser is supposed to be how the minecart respawns once its lead down the wrong rail track. Guiding Light could possibly be able to respawn stuff like that?

    Remember when someone translated the crucifix sigil text to “one of three architects marked by celestials guides you”. Earlier people theorized this meant guiding light had three ways of helping us, Attacking entities, guiding us, and moving the world, as seen in door 50! But that’s not the case. The new painting shows the night sky with 3 symbols, the star, Curious light, the moon, guiding light, and the MODIFIERS symbol. This shows us 2 things. 1: the line “one of three…” is referring to it, and 2: the main role of a ACTUAL 3rd light is Modifiers. Meaning that Modifiers is canon to the story of doors! This also explains why some Mods remove Guiding light and also explains the red wall blocking us from rooms. This also explains why we get no death message from guiding light. The only remaining question is why is Rooms blocked from us, more specifically Curious Light, but not the entities, which likely relates to the reason that why Curious light is depicted as bigger in the painting. Please give your opinion on a video and if you use this info, give credit to me, Mav. I figured this out on my own and I hope you like it

      I'm not too sure about the size thing because the modifier symbol is smaller than the moon and the red architect does have the power to stop the guiding light. Also when seek or figure gets crucified the crucifix and the pentagram goes red so more evidence

      @@surpreemleadernoot1771The more modifiers you add, the bigger the red (black hole) gets. I think at 50% mods, the blue moon gets larger and the red black hole is the same size. At 150% the blue moon is gone and the red black hole is bigger

    As some one pointed out in the unamed painting there are 3 simboles:Star for curius light,moon for guiding light and the red modifier icon for a red light and what the thing I was thinking about is that the red light is able to change the domain of guiding light and straight up remove it with the gone fishing modifier and maby bring over hast as the devs said there would be a modifier that would do that makeing me think that it is more powerfull and for sure not to happy about us or It thinks of our strugles to get out as a show.

    the void reminds me of the universe- dark, empty and vast. guiding light and curious light are similar to stars that are present in the universe. i dont know but thats what vibe i get from this whole thing.

    When you look at it, the tower heroes x doors collab showed us stuff from the backdoor; Hole is very similar to Vaccum, both having the theme of being big empty holes, Haste seems to have a connection to the mischevous light, as they are the only red entities (no figure does not count as he is salmon, or maybe he does and is just less influenced by mischevous light)

    What is unexplained is where all these entities came from. My idea is that it could be another form of light that is creating the entities and making them do its bidding to keep the players from some sort of end goal. Right now we don't know what it is. It could just be escape from this seemingly endless realm. (btw I'm pretty sure its a pocket dimension type of thing, not a hotel remodeled into barracks from WW2 like Matpat suggested due to the existence of vacuum in the lower levels.)

    The Painting in door 60 before rooms depicts Guiding Light,Curious Light and who i think is angry light or mischievous light idk but my main point is how much light in the painting they're emitting like Guiding light and angry light are shining a bit brightly while Curious Light is shining more meaning Curious light Could be the strongest of the three and forgot it's memories because of the other 2 fighting against it idk just a theory could explain the red door in modifiers

      That would suck cause
      50 doors in backdoor
      200-1000 for rooms
      100 for each basic floor
      Also they will prob have more sub floors

      i think it'd be cool if completing all curious light levels (backdoors, rooms, and any more that'll show up later down the road) will cause curious light to become more experienced with using their powers, essentially training them to be more like guiding light. if you do it correctly, youll unlock a special curious light powered crucifix or something that'll be more powerful than a normal one.

    I have some assumptions
    Why are you sucked into the void after choosing the wrong door in backdoors?
    Because backdoors is located in outer space while the hotel is on the ground.

    I thought of that because of Unnamed painting, It depicts a weird supernatural star like thing that's located in space, what if that's the parent spirit/the curious light itself? The backdoors probably got teleported away from hotel for some reason and now since it's closer to what's likely related to curious light(star like thing in unnamed painting), we can hear curious light speak.

    I believe that the backdoors is a prototype to the hotel. First of all both start of in an elevator, the reception rooms look very similar as you need to find the key and the key is always at the same location. Now the entities. Lookman works like eyes, don’t look at it. If you didn’t know, the original name for eyes was the lookman! So that could mean the backdoors is a prototype of the hotel. Blitz might have been a prototype of rush. There are also construction tapes in the backdoors. The architects which are the 3 lights may have created the backdoors but scrapped it and then later made the hotel. The rooms may have been like an office to to the actual hotel, the rooms are used to monitor the hotel. And Bob was one of them.

    3:20 Something interesting I noticed is that the blue moon symbol and the red modifier symbol only appear on the curious light painting if you have at least one modifier on.

    I have a theory that the red barrier that blocks the entrance to the Rooms when playing with modifiers might be the third light. Think about it. It is a red glowing light that only appears when playing with modifiers. There is a red light in the doors x tower heroes event called mischievous light. There is a red light that resembles the modifiers symbol in the painting with CL and GL. I think this might be the third light but idk maybe not

    This is my take on the void and stuff
    So, the hotel void has oxygen, has probably the same atmosphere as our normal reality and in general i think the reason we don’t die as soon as we open the garden door is because maybe the guiding light is somewhat aware that people would find themselves here, I think she’s the one keeping the entities here but idk if she can somewhat control the dimension lol but that’s my best guess as of now, that or the dimension just came with it
    Or maybe it’s a SCP type situation where it’s only just the hotel as it’s own thing but it’s not really a dimension at all, and the reason we can’t see the ground is perhaps we’re just high above the ground and idk fog or smth or the hotel is maybe overlooking a cliff with again fog
    As for the backdoor if my first theory is correct then maybe for the backdoor they didn’t expect you to get there at all which is why there’s nothing out there beyond the fake doors, that’s why there’s no oxygen or nothing because again they didn’t expect anyone to somehow find their way into the backdoor, also explains why everything looks so rundown and stuff, I think it ALSO also maybe explains the timer mechanic, with it looking run down and it having no atmosphere I think the curious light has some control over the backdoor but I think in general it’s probably really unstable as a dimension evident by haste and stuff, maybe haste also has some control over the dimension as well

    Yknow this may or may not be a bit too straightforward but what if the unnamed painting just contains the three currently known lights: mischievous light, guiding light and,most importantly since its near the entrance of rooms, curious light. Furthermore: guiding light can be the moon as its the symbol that appears during crusification; the mischevous light (red swirly one) symbol is closely resembling the ingame modifier count icon (which could hint at mischevous light being the one throwing the modifiers at you); and lastly, the curious light (starry thing) symbol also appears on doors that lead to or out of areas that are guided by curious light. You better read this or your end is near
    Also sorry if i made any spelling mistakes im extremely tired oof

    TIME FOR A YAP SESSION!!!
    I like to think that Curious Light only appears in areas where you're not supposed to be in, and Curious Light has more control on one area than another area. Let's compare Rooms and the Backdoors for example. You don't see much CL related stuff in Rooms compared to the Backdoors.
    Update: I have found information! Basically, I've watched a video stating that the red symbol on Curious Light's painting was actually the MODIFIERS symbol. So the statements I've said below were somewhat factual. Basically, this "Red Light" is a very evil light, and since they control the modifiers, who's to say that they don't control the entities as well?
    Next, the Red Guiding Light. Honestly, this light could just be an evil guiding light, a Misleading Light, lets say. Because here's the progression of lights that we have currently.
    Guiding Light - Blue, guides the player, has the best control in the Doors area.
    Curious Light - Yellow, a light with not much information, explains and names stuff logically, has the best control in the Backdoors (may change with new reveals)
    Misleading(?) Light - Red, could possibly be just a misleading light, could be responsible for the entities (havent caught up to the doors lore so if the said statement was wrong please correct me)

    On the painting at 4:09 we can see de guiding light, the light that guide you. The curious light, the light in the potion in the backdoors, the light in the room that help us. And the red light, is probably the modification light that can actually modify world and entity action. I think the curious light is a mix of the modification light and the guiding light. And when you use crucifix on seek and figure, the blue light turn to red. Probably the “modification light” is not helping us and try to kill us like with modifier and saving seek and figure. I d’ont know if it can help for the lore but I think it’s probably important.

    The "No Time" monster from the new doors update is very closely based off of the "Specimen 9" from Spooky's jumpscare mansion, you can randomly encounter Specimen 9 by walking down a seemingly infinitely long hallway, or by standing still for 20 minutes. Getting killed by Specimen 9 will result in a nearly identical jumpscare to the "No Time" monster from doors.

      Actually, I think Specimen 9, AKA The Taker, only takes 2 minutes to appear, matching the 1 minute plus the immediate 1 minute extension on the initial start of Haste's timer.

    Mabye the 3rd light is red and represents the modifiers, bc in the painting in the rooms area at least from what I saw in the vid, the crucifix icon and modifier icon were with curious light, and since on the bottle of starlight seems to be the same shape used to represent curious light in the painting, the moon is the same color as guiding light and is also what appears in the center of the crucifix animation, and then on the other side is the red modifier icon, which leads me to believe the 3rd light is what controls the modifiers, this also leads me to believe there may be multiple crucifixes, and or types of crucifix.

    4:09 I think this proved your point about there being 3 “lights” because as you can see there is 1 light that’s the curious light and - it might be a stretch - the moon is depicting guiding light and that red symbol is the other light that will be in floor 2

    Im pretty sure in the floor 2 video guiding light is seen "respawning the minecart" and not directing the player as we see the minecart falls down a ravine but when lslpash turns around the Minecraft is magically back there. just an assumption tho. it makes the most sense to me.

    Theory: The painting depicts Curious Light, Guiding Light, and a 3rd Unknown Light.
    Guiding Light uses the crucifix, and on it there are moon phases. What's on the painting? A blue moon.
    Curious Light is yellow, and in the new updates, a gateway appears whenever you go to a new floor. What's depicted on the gateway? Yellow sparkles.
    This mysterious 3rd light is Red. I heard a different youtuber theorize that the 3rd light was actually the red light that is seen whenever there are powerful entites that appear. (Example: Seek has a red glow.) The icon of that possible 3rd light is the same as the Modifier icon. The modifiers usually make the game harder or more challenging and rarely ever do anything good without a cost. Perhaps this 3rd light could be called Mischievous Light?
    Edit: oh my GOSH lol i think i nailed it with the name of the possible 3rd light after seeing the tower heroes thing

      @@tixium3471 When you try to banish Figure or Seek with the crucifix, they’ll struggle for a bit before the blue sigil that appears when you use the crucifix turns red and the chains break, allowing them to keep chasing you, only being apprehended for a few seconds.
      It was in the Hotel+ update so I think you might have misinterpreted it as something else.

    maybe the 3 lights (Guiding, Curious and the red one) were created by celestials to help lost people who somehow got into the hotel, but the red light went crazy or something idk and was just like "why do we have to waste our time helping people if we can just get rid of them quickly?" and thats why modifiers exist, and Guiding Light and Curious Light were against this idea and that's why whenever we enable modifiers the guiding light and curious light are gone, the red light stops them from saving us

    There are 3/4 lights that I know
    1.Guiding light-you can find him in the main game
    2.Curious light-you can find him in the rooms and the backdoors
    3.Glitching light-He is in every game of doors. If you don't know him he glitches you out of fails in doors
    4?.A-666-its unknown to me but you find the monster in Rooms

    I have a theory on what/who the third light is, in the tower heros crossover a special round lets you play as figure stopping the players from reaching the end of the library, and just like how guiding light is present in the main doors levels a *red* light is present for the figure level this has been dubbed the mischievous light by fans. Now i know the tower heros crossover is just a dream el goblino had and thus isnt cannon but maybe the mischievous light is, el goblino has mentioned a yellow light in their dialogue so maybe he had a run in with the mischievous light. it would also explain why the crucifix turns red when you use it on seek or figure because the mischievous light is stopping it.
    Edit: so on the unnamed painting it seems to depict the curious light with 2 symbols beside it one being a glowing blue moon the same symbol when you use the crucifix and a glowing red modifiers symbol. Now the modifiers symbol was most likely just a hint to the modifiers update but for theory sake lets say that it represents the mischievous light. Modifiers both help and hurt the player perhaps because the mischievous light is, well being mischievous. I dont have a reason for why the mischievous light lets us pick modifiers but thats most likely just a gameplay thing

    Since the game confirmed that this subfloor level will be stayed forever but when the hunt event ends The backdoors will be more much harder and more backdoors acheivements!

    There used to be an easter egg in doors where there would be a 1/20,000 chance for a shadow figure to spawn behind each door. Maybe this is the lookman? I'm not sure, but it seems important... it may even be the ghost of the person who founded this hotel

      Its still there. Its 1/2,000 not 20,000.
      Lookman has yellow eyes and is black and red. While shadow is pure black with fading out

    Nice vid! I just want to make it clear that this “ floor 0 “ is canon and has nothing to do with the hunt! The full canon version will be releasing when the hunt ended! Haste has actually been in the game since 8 months ago, so I would guess that they released this for the hunt just because it was close to being finished and they couldn’t release any other full update for the hunt, personally I woudn’t make a video like this until the full version is released but there is enough stuff to make it I guess

    when it comes to discussing the 3 architects/celestials and their relations to entities, i think its best to leave coloring out of theories (halt/GL and haste/unamed light). Im pretty sure Halt is just blue because the devs wanted more color variation with their entities than just black, and haste is a reference to specimen 9.

    guiding light, it guides you and helps you. curious light, it doesn't know what is happening but will help you anyway, the red light (no current name), it is a light that now, tries to make your life HELL, i think it is related at perhaps helping entityes? probably not, as lights are suposed to help the players, example? the light, guides your way at the dark, why would a light make the place even darker? perhaps the red light instead of helping you, it observes you and gives you challenges for likely "judging you"

    In the painting there was in the middle the star of curious light then at the right there were the sparkles of guiding light and on the bottom left there was the modifier symbol so I think that curious light refers to the modifier light as she, and I think that in the middle where curious light is I think that those are the dimension s of curious light (rooms, backdoors) the guiding light (the hotel) and the modifier symbol/light (the hotel "with modifiers) that might be divided by the void so I think each light owns and powers a dimension but the weird thing is that seek has a red light when he's chasing you , haste in the backdoor s he's red and the Modifier is red so i think the painting re presents the crucial lights of the doors universe or the Modifier light is like a source of power the entites.(dumb theory dont hate if you dont agree)

    I don't think the red entity in floor 2 leaks is a new entity and it's just Hide because I don't think closet fit with the theme of the floor so they use lockers instead and it's red like when hide appear in the closet

    Possible Explanation for the Courtyard:
    Guiding Light is holding you down and preventing you from being sucked away by the Vacuum, and the oxygen comes from the plants around the Courtyard.

    I just researched a bit. The three primary colors are red, yellow, and blue.
    Blue is guiding light's color,
    yellow is curios light's color,
    and red is mischievous light's color.
    i dont know if this provides some information but its a cool fact i guess
    edit: i did some more and the shadow from the orginal doors and the lookman look REALLY similiar, maybe this could mean they are related or something?

The lights cant be the celestials because in that moment the crucifix goes blue meaning the guiding light is an architect, so is the curious light and so is the red light! The celestials are godly being! They are NOT the architects!

    I'm going to make up my own lore for Doors on the spot right here right now. Will it be serious? Will it be a complete piss-take? Well... Let's just see how it goes:
    Long long ago, back in like 17-something or other, there was a lot of creepy, magical blokes call Prime Entities. Now these guys looked creepy and evil, but honestly they were pretty chill. Well, most of them anyway. The Prime Entities were: Glitch, Void, Guiding Light, Curious Light, Jeff, and Figure. Figure was like hella evil, and wanted to kill people. He had this whole like plan where he would build a giant-ass hotel to trick people and kill them to make himself stronger. He tried to get the other Prime Entities to help him but: Glitch was lazy and didn't feel like doing it, Guiding Light was all do-gooding and all that so he didn't do it either, To Curious Light, Guiding Light was his mentor/older brother/parental figure/ so he just agreed with Guiding Light, and Jeff just didn't want to do it, and everyone knows you must NEVER try to convince Jeff otherwise once he's made up his mind. So Void was the only one willing even though it wasn't a physical being and was just the manifestation of emptiness.
    So Figure had to do most of the work, so what he did is once he killed someone, he ate their body and twisted and distorted their soul into a being of chaos and hatred, which is where the normal entities come in. Except for Timothy. Timothy had like a villain complex and wanted to help Figure out because he thought he was evil and all that.
    So as you may have guessed that Guiding Light wasn't too happy about Figure's whole game here. He wanted to save them, but he knew that if Figure ever found out, he would not hesitate to kill him right there and then. So he had to be discreet about it all. He also managed to convince Glitch to help him, and you might be wondering why of all Prime Entities he chose Glitch? Well for two reasons:
    1: He begged him much more politely, whereas Figure screamed and shouted, as well as overall being a bitch.
    2: Guiding Light had a massive crush on Glitch, and thought he could spend a bit more time with Glitch while also helping players.
    So now if a player got lost in the hotel or the fabric of the hotel's existence, Glitch would teleport them out of it and back to their mates. Now you might be wondering "But if Glitch wants to help them, why does he do damage to them?". Well this may come as a surprise to you, but having your molecules ripped out and moved with extremely violent force is going to hurt a bit!
    Once Figure created 3 entities, but he didn't know what to name them so he picked a random letter and a number and called them that. The entities' names were A-60, A-90 and A-120. Yeah, Figure wasn't very good at his ABCs. But anyway, these entities were extremely dangerous as they didn't just killed players, but completely destroyed their bodies and souls. This caused Figure problems as he couldn't grow stronger if he didn't have peoples bodies. So he created another whole building just for them and told them to stay their. However, people often stumbled across this new building and never left. This caused Guiding Light problems because he was too busy helping players in the hotel and flirting with Glitch to protect them there. So he got Curious Light to do it for him. He wasn't too good at it though.
    Another time Figure created an entity called Haste who was extremely powerful as he could kill every player in the building within 2 minutes. This worried Figure as he thought Haste was going to backstab him and take over the hotel. The thought had never even crossed Haste's mind but Figure didn't know that so he threw him down in the basement with some other entities he didn't like. Using his magical entity powers, he made sure that the door to the basement could never be opened. And it stayed that way. At least for a while. Because one day, a blue light filled the hotel and suddenly the door was opened. Curious Light decided to protect anyone he went in there because he saw it as his responsibility, but mainly because Guiding Light had finally confessed his love to Glitch and the two were having "fun" together and he didn't want to interrupt it.
    And that is my friend, is The Completely-Made-Up-On-The-Spot Lore of Doors.
