    I was born in '89, so didn't live when these games came out. Don't remember fully how old I was, but I seem to remember I was 5-6 years old when I played Centipede the first time. Since then, the games have been two of my all time favorites. Some day, I'm going to make my own Centipide & Millipede countertop cabinet with the trackball and everything. I wish I had a cabinet for them now, but playing the games through Atari Vault (Steam) will have to do for now, which is pretty nice too though. :)

      I was born in '78 so I never played the arcade Centipede, but I had it for my Atari 5200 and played it constantly.

    This is the best freaking cabaret machine and IMO the best cabinet design for a multi-cade (upright games only!). That full size monitor in that footprint... perfect!
    Great machine!!!!

      I agree, the way the monitor is set up is awesome!

    I had one of these a year ago. replace the roller ball put a new overlay and the only thing I had to do to the monitor is ajust the b+ and that was it. I played it for a while and it was time to let it go to somebody that was going to keep it for a while. When you have a garage full of games it's time to let some of this stuff go. Let the next generation enjoy it.

      Yup, that's how I do most of our games, I don't keep any of them. I fix them play them a little bit and let them go off to somebody's gameroom.

    I miss the old games point system. 10 points here. 100 points there. now everything is in millions. especially pinball. hey I got 300 quadrillion points. big deal.

    • @LyonsArcade
      @LyonsArcade  6 лет назад

      I feel the same way. I'm not sure if you're aware, but they dropped a lot of the zeros on the "Jersey Jack" pinball machines for just that reason. So the first one was "The Wizard of Oz" and you score just a few points on some shots.... which was awesome. A casual game might be, 60 or 70,000 points if you're not that good....
