I moved here 2 years ago from the Mid West and it was the best decision I ever made. The sunny days are no exaggeration since its sunny all winter long.
@@JW-hd6xx Housing prices are quite a bit higher and wages are lower. However there is no income or personal property tax and the property tax is actually quite low if you live in your house. Worrying about the size of your house compared to the Midwest is irrelevant because down here you spend your time outside, not inside your house for 3/4 of the year like you do in the MidWest.
So what is your favourite district to live at st-pete + neighborhood? I am looking for a new place to live. And did give the locals you a warm welcome?

@Shawn Roberts. We lived there in the 70’s and loved it. Now one of our children is buying property there to spend half the year. We are in Calif, our home state. I worked at Fisherman’s inn on 4th ave. Did your parents ever take you there? Sadly, it’s no longer there….it was a beautiful restaurant with amazing seafood. Never had any better anywhere. Lived here most of my life. It's pretty and all. But don't expect to live in the pretty parts unless you have a money tree. I own a landscaping business and my wife is a dancer at one of the more popular clubs in Tampa. We live on the outskirts of the Jungle Prada neighborhood. And we struggle just to make ends meet. Our income would have us living beautifully anywhere else. The municipalities are divided up so weirdly, you may not even get trash pick up or even be allowed to use certain services like the brush/ recycling center. It's heading towards the San fransisco homeless situation as well, where the cost of living becomes so high, that it drives out the local infrastructure. You will see at least 4 to 5 homeless people with signs at every major intersection. There's already a small exodus happening, at least among the people I know. My competitors are mostly Mexican immigrants who drive in from places as far as Wiamama who will do the work for half the price of local, liscenced landscapers like myself. My wife tells me that the strip clubs, even the reputable ones, including hers and the ones in st.pete, are becoming brothels due to the rise in drug use and the cost of living here. Also, even the bad neighborhoods in the urban areas are being gentrified. They are building half million dollar homes directly in ghetto areas surrounding downtown. Domain homes I think they're called. Soon there will be no where affordable for anyone to live, and the people who can afford to live here will have to deal with drug addicts approaching them at stop lights asking you for money while you're in your nice car. In short, enjoy it here while you can before it becomes like Venice beach.
@@TampaAerialMedia oh yeah, why I said "heading towards" and "before it becomes" but I agree it's still very nice in some areas. I still live in one of the more coveted neighborhoods, but at great expense haha. Also I can tell you put alot of work into your video, I wasn't bashing your work. After watching this video 100s of times of the past 2 years (at least once a day), im finally making the move there in 8 weeks! Thanks for peaking my interest in this beautiful city! Ive only been once and im already willing to take my chances and just move there all the way from Ireland! Was living in Boston for 6 years prior and moved how to save but finally becoming a reality
Welcome to FL, yea I need to do a new St Pete video this winter. Good move, but it is brutally hot now, and we have hurricane watch next 6 weeks, but in Oct it starts to get good in Tampa Bay
@@TampaAerialMedia Haha yeah the heat is gonna kill me but after growing up in wet rainy Ireland and then suffering the hot summers and Baltic cold winters of Massachusetts, I think it will be worth it haha! And to experience a hurricane for the first time 😅 Pull that bandaid off and get it over with! Do you mind me asking what part of Florida you reside? Originally I wanted to move to Fort Lauderdale but it seems it’s become too expensive now so will probably wait a couple of years
Make sure to visit 1st, so you can see for yourself that while this video is very pretty, reality is, there is LOTS to consider about moving to St. Pete!
I loved it when I first visited! You can bike everywhere. Everything is close. I like very close to midtown, and when you walk out my front door and look north Tropicana Fiend is right there. Also have a place near downtown. My wife and I love St. Petersburg.
The clouds in this video were astounding! St Pete has really come of age. Love the Vinoy (restaurant is super!), the Dali Museum, and the beautiful parks like Straub. So many new and upscale restaurants have sprung up over the years. I remember seeing a Spring training game at Al Lang Field (I think it was the St Louis Cardinals). Some friends of my grandparents lived off Coffee Pot Lane in a magnificent place! The Bayfront concerts are nice. I love baseball, but the Rays need a nice OUTDOOR park on the water in Tampa, where the population is greater. Not only is Tropicana awful (except for the great name!), but who wants to be in FL and sit in a dark dome to watch a game? St Pete has too many snowbirds (who are gone for most of the baseball season), so the Rays, now a good team, need to solve their attendance problems by being in Tampa proper, like the Bucs and Lightning, who both have good facilities. The St Pete folks can still take the ferry to games (and schedules could be arranged to cater to before and after rides, and could be an event in and of itself!). Your overhead shots are so great, but the sunset beyond the Sunshine Skyway Bridge was really gorgeous! The old bridge was not nearly as photogenic. Since I had friends in Bradenton, and love Longboat Key and Sarasota, I have been over both versions many times, and the new one is fabulous, but glad parts of the old are still a long fishing pier. Great job in showing off a nice part of your home region!
Nope. The Rays do NOT need to be in that dump across the bay, nor do they need to be outside. Are you one of the snowturds who isn't around here in summer? You think no one goes to games at the Trop now? Who wants to sit in the heat and humidity of a summer night, more than likely through a rain or lightning delay, to watch a three hour game? There is nothing wrong with the Trop, the Tampans are just too scared to drive across the bay. They have the Bucs and Lightning. Baseball has older roots in St. Pete and needs to remain in St. Pete/Pinellas County. If anything, build a retractable roof stadium in north St. Pete.
@@Rob-bo7yn I have seen MLB in all 31 cities (including Mtl). The Trop is the ugliest park in MLB. I am well aware of the heat and humidity and nightly showers of the Tampa summer. Since they supposedly have no money for a retractable roo, the new clear dome proposed for Ybor City is ideal. Who wants to sit in the Trop Dump on a warm sunny day? True, the older clientele who are baseball's core fanbase are more prevalent in St Pete. But fans are not coming - despite the Rays being a good team since 2008. The Trop has a joke of a reputation from all visiting fanbases. It was a boondoggle investment from Day 1. I would like to see a World Series in Tampa, but NOT at the Trop! Take a look around the Majors. It just does not measure up.
i see this gorgeous video in youtube st petersburg is a lovely city town i really love it i wish my dreams come true to see it is very awesome lovely beautiful beaches and beautiful hotels❣
Love St. Pete. Beautiful city just like Tampa. I really liked there. Both are really great all around cities. I visited St. Pete, Tampa, Miami, Naples, Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Pierce, Clearwater and West Palm Beach on September last year. Really great experience. Beautiful, safe and clean cities. Greetings from the DR
@@PlaviStrumf LMAO. WTF. What is your definition of city? St. Pete, Tampa, West Palm Beach are definitely cities. More malls, buildings, things to do, stadiums, museums, etc than Vienna and Prague. Tampa is 110% a city. St. Pete too. West Palm Beach too. Naples can be considered a city too. Clearwater maybe not but have more things to do than the majority of European cities, more buildings and a better and flashier downstown. And for next time at least you can give better example of your wrong definition of "city". Cities like New York, Chicago, Las Vegas, London, Houston, Tokyo, Miami, Boston, Seattle, Toronto, Beijing, Paris, Vancouver, Dallas NOT little cities like Vienna or Prague. Tampa is BY FAR more developed, more flashy, with more retail space, better nightlife, etc than both Vienna and Prague.
Greetings from Saint Petersburg (Russia), the city with great history, European feel in architecture and Hermitage, but with a shitty weather, send us some sun please from this heaven🙏🏻 Have a nice day. Great vids btw!☝🏼
Take a walk around Mirror lake and Williams park...PS...I srongly recommend you do so carrying"personal protection". Downtown St Pete north of 3rd street is a real eye opener... Thoroughly thronged with drugs and alcohol addicted people... Watch your back...
I am told that the floating aerial net sculpture is trapping flying birds and killing them. Also, benches near bus stops are frequently removed to prevent homeless from seating there but it also inconveniences residents.
You are correct. They replaced the famous green benches to one's that have bars on them prevention people from lying down. When the lights on the netting are off its an eyesore.
30 years living here. The cons: ST. HEATERSBURG is a more accurate name. Its 75% humidity almost every day which is very uncomfortable on a 80 degreee day. Also if you live off 4th street like we do in North East St. Pete you may also refer to the city as SIREN CITY as firetrucks ambulances etc. wail continually all night long up and down 4th and MLK. Beaches are great if your in your 20s and don't care about continual sun exposer. Go to the beach during the week. Weekends are hard to maneuver in a boat anywhere it seems. Living in St. Pete costs more then most places in the country. Sunshine tax they call it. Jobs still pay only 10.00hr for outside workers. Whew its hot here! BTW this is a great video. You captured the area well. The underlying heat was never mentioned and what keeps many away from Florida in general.

In short, enjoy it here while you can before it becomes like Venice beach.
st pete is full of liberal trash...the whole county is.....we're thinking about moving to polk county,fl , or possibly even dallas tx...
yea it has some issues, but think it is a long, long ways from being SF. SF has far, far more homeless, and alot more dirty.
All of my and my wife's clients are out of towners and snowbirds. Keep sending them here lol
What club is your wife at ? I will stop by give her a big tip.
@@ricoconti3141 We appreciate that, but she's asked me not to disclose that info to anyone (her stage name and club). Every once in a while, people find her real name and info through social media. We had a problem with a stalker for a bit.
Thank you @TampaAerialMedia. Your videos make me want to move to the gulf coast of Florida. I'm sick of the long winters in NJ
Thankyou for the nice words, yea I feel for the people in NJ this time of year.
Wow ! Probably the best Saint Pete video on RUclips
Thats a great compliment, thankyou for saying that.
We often go to St Pete for long weekends. We love the atmosphere with tons of things to do.
This video is another BIG Winner 🙌👏👏🙌.... Awesome St Pete 👍 So much to see & do ....
Thankyou for the nice words.
nice. Again, i like the comprehensive coverage and videography. great job!!!
Thankyou BeamMeUpSpotty, appreciate the feedback
I enjoy your videos very much ! I am very grateful.
I'm grateful for people like you that are so encouraging.
Originally I wanted to move to Fort Lauderdale but it seems it’s become too expensive now so will probably wait a couple of years
Was raised here and this video came out on my 19th birthday.
Happy Birthday Miguel
Living here for 20+ years it was very cool watch this
Live here in St Pete with my family, paradise no doubt, would not move anywhere else.
Thank You, Thank you, we are moving to the area, and this is the information that we were looking for.
Glad it was helpful!
Make sure to visit 1st, so you can see for yourself that while this video is very pretty, reality is, there is LOTS to consider about moving to St. Pete!
The last weekend visit this place..So beautiful
Hope you have a great time
Great Video. Very informative . I love the St Pete Area
Glad you enjoyed it
I loved it when I first visited! You can bike everywhere. Everything is close. I like very close to midtown, and when you walk out my front door and look north Tropicana Fiend is right there. Also have a place near downtown. My wife and I love St. Petersburg.
Also many citizens of Florida come to St. Petersburg for vacation.
Very diverse here, and in many ways it reminds me of San Francisco like a little community.
I wish when I was in high school and went to St. Pete I got to see more of it. It's a beautiful town. TY for sharing❤️🌹
Probably will be doing new video on St Petersburgh this winter
Thankyou Jose, glad you enjoyed it.
Love St.
Totally agree! Great to hear from the DR.
prague is a city,vienna is a city..these are peripheries
Thank you for the Perfect Vedios of the City I love!
Greetings from Saint Petersburg (Russia), the city with great history, European feel in architecture and Hermitage, but with a shitty weather, send us some sun please from this heaven🙏🏻 Have a nice day. Great vids btw!☝🏼
Thankyou Artem, great to hear from Russia
I'm retired here in St. Pete and every day is a holiday!
Yep!!! Halloween 🎃...
Everyday is a holiday !? I’m jealous lol what did you do for work
Lovely place. I had car trip once and loved the city
What an awesome video!! Thankx for sharing. Drones have changed the game
I appreciate the feedback.
Another amazing production. Enjoyed!!
Thankyou for the nice words Evolvere.
Take a walk around Mirror lake and Williams park...PS...I srongly recommend you do so carrying"personal protection".
Downtown St Pete north of 3rd street is a real eye opener...
Thoroughly thronged with drugs and alcohol addicted people...
Watch your back...
As always, a great video. Many thanks from Germany
Thankyou very much
I am told that the floating aerial net sculpture is trapping flying birds and killing them.
Yep its hot in the summers but great weather in the winter and spring.
Thank you for the
impressive video.
👍🤗
I appreciate that.
Love your videos! Entertaining and heartwarming and relaxing!
Thats great to hear, thankyou for the feedback.
Fantastic video. Super helpful! Many Thanks!
Thankyou for the nice words
Very well done video Sir.
Brother St. Petersburg or even the whole state of Florida in the whole context looks incredibly beautiful so you can t find anything wrong or put us in his place how much creativity in this beautiful America either Nevada, or New York , Giorgia, Texas ,any of the 50 states offer you an impeccably pleasant and beautiful comfort, or Chicago ladies, l have no words with all my soul and heart , this whole America ,not to mention Lake Micighen in the Grand Canion .many other tourist spots in this wonderful country called AMERICA.
Thank you for appreciation but this is the truth or this is the reality that Americais truly beautiful and that any place on this American earth is divine is paradise proper.
Great video! very detailed and lots of good info, thanks for making the video
thanks for the feedback.
This video felt like a vacation in itself!
Thats great to hear.
Agreed
Great current overview!
Great job! This videos help me on my route plan in 2023 by SUV!!! Thanks!
Thankyou, yep traveling in a SUV the best way to see the US
Great video. Thank you for this.
Thankyou for the nice words.
beautiful video, very well done !
Thank you! Cheers!
the best thing I did was move from this city nothing to do , I live in Hallandale Beach Fl which is close to Miami and Hollywood Beach Fl the night life is great it's a lot of jobs that's available and paying good.
Best up & coming area in Florida in my opinion!
I agree.
As a local: Yeah St. Pete is really fun and chill
These videos are so great, thank you
Thankyou, I appreciate that.
I live here, in St. Pete. Great video and an awesome job showcasing some of the areas around here. You are right, Pinellas doesn't often get the same recognition as the folks across the bay. Although I do believe people are starting to catch on. Thumbs all the way up!
Thankyou, yes very cool. St Pete has many things that Tampa doesn't have
FYI....Fort Desoto is a Pinellas County park , not a Florida state park. Lived down there for 34 years and miss it a lot. Great to see it again.
True, thanks for the correction
I live here and let me tell you, you did a great job! Awesome video highlighting most of the major places! Although you should have included North shore aquatics complex in downtown. Great video though!
Thankyou for the nice words, and also for the mention of North Shore Aquatics...We are posting a new video tonight of The St Pete Ferry & Cross Bay Ferry
@@TampaAerialMedia Great to hear! Definitely will watch!
Love your videos... *** Bridge Name is Howard Frankland Bridge and it was named after William Howard Frankland. Not Franklin 😀
I stand corrected. All these years and I've been calling it Franklin, thanks for the correction.
@@TampaAerialMedia welcome, even I used to call it Franklin but one day driving over I saw the city sign as Franland, caught me as surprise as many local news channel were calling it Franklin :)
@@JaiMasihKii the city sign said franland? Great correction

Magnificent city to raise children. St Petersburg gets lots of rain every year. Florida is living at its extremes. Extremely attractive, extremely good weather, extremely nice and advanced to live in , possess extremely good tennis players, olympic athletes, basketball and american football players etc.
Uh, there is no pro football in St Pete, and the college football teams are not good at all. Extremely good weather??? It is hot and humid. Advanced to live in? I would love to look through those rose colored glasses you have on. The schools are not good either. My wife was a teacher in St Pete.
You must own a lot of real estate.
