Thank you for this video, it was really helpful especially the slow motion replay of the shot and then the very slow breakdown of the different aspects of the shot. Really appreciate it

Yes we did. During our trip to Singapore we were able to access the courts while the players were resting between their sessions. It is a fantastic hall.

The court looks cool! Whereabouts is it in England?

It’s actually the Singapore national training centre. We went there in May. It’s an incredible hall.

    Great video.
Have you guys switched rackets fairly recently? From 1000Z to 100Zz?

Pleased to hear you liked the video.
David uses the Astrox 100zz, Dean mainly uses the Astrox 88d pro but does have a Nanoflare 1000Z in the bag.
      What racket are you using?

Longline drop is very anti-deception in nature. Also good for playing against deceptive opponent because its quite fast.

Yep we agree it cuts down the shot options on offer to the opponent.

So adding on to that cause I see you had to simplify the shot itself a bit. It’s all about having fingers and forearm relaxed and bent, then squeezing them together while straightening the elbow and that’s making the shot. With the right grip of course to play back into the court
Also you’re a bit too close to the shuttle for my liking, every time you end up with your elbow bent after the shot which means you could take it earlier/higher or didn’t have to move that far

Yes it’s all about trying to stay smooth and relaxed while under pressure.
Interesting observation regarding contact point, having looked through again it looks a nice relaxed position to me, straight arm without being locked out. You’re right in saying though this shot can be played from numerous heights depending on where you have moved from previously.
Aa always thanks for taking the time to comment. 👍
