Depression, lack of sexual partner, inability to love opposite sex, desocialisation, anxiety based introversy, General lack of empathy and will, to do anything toward contact with opposite sex, General distain for mentally unstable women protected by society and being looked down upon by women and society just for being normal man. Woman choose to bully men in to submission, men decides to boycot entire female species and ability to have kids and family, stupid bitches will realise men can live without them far to late to made any changes. Men choose sex-robots and artificial wombs. Females no longer would have ANY roles in men life and would be abandoned to the extiction, they no longer would be mothers majority would delete womb just so they could no longer have discomfort of periods. And this would become norm, males and females be two entirety diffirent species, family will no longer exist in modern society. Men would eventualy throw useless emotionless females out of society they create. And would have to work as whores in less advanced countries. This is our future. And women destroyed it

Considere this: Watching p*rn 2 hours a week ≠ addiction. When people talk about this, they assume it to already represent an addiction. It is the only thing on earth people consume so little and still considere themselves addicted. I ain't telling u to watch more tho. The main factor for the rising of it is 1. Human/male nature; 2. Loneliness.

I went off my antidepressants and my sex drive exploded. I didn't have a partner and didn't want to do it with just anyone so I got addicted to porn, was watching at least 4 times a day and it was awful. Extremely depressing and it messed up the way I thought and communicated with people. It's very rare that I've heard anyone talk about this side effect of going off of antidepressants. It took 3 years to lower my sex drive and porn use and it was very difficult. Distraction with other healthier hobbies is very helpful, remembering that you want to change and can't change unless you deny yourself helps a lot too. I'm feeling much better now, I felt like I was turning into a monster and I didn't like myself. Your brain and body will require it less often if you see how long you can make it without it. You can lessen the extremity of what you watch as well, working down to vanilla stuff. It's difficult but not impossible. It's like any addiction where you have to really want to change and always remember that it isn't what you really want for yourself.

People give way too much of themselves that way. Mentally, it hurts a lot sometimes to be rejected when you want more and people get used. When you're female, you are also seen as a slut if you do this. Also, the amount of sex my brain and body were telling me I wanted was an unreasonable amount. I would have exhausted anyone even if I had multiple partners.

One that is not mentioned enough- lack of physical contact from the opposite sex. The intense hunger for touch and longing for intimacy manifests itself in addiction to porn, as the person tries to imagine for themselves what they are watching. It's not even sex the person often craves... it's just human intimacy (ie kissing, cuddling in bed, etc).
And to settle it straight, this affects men exponentially more than women.

u will probably fail. because if you want to get rid of an addiction instantly, it will be pretty hard and u will probably give up. and u try again. and again. and again. until you lose your all hope and become completely addicted to it. if you want to be fresh, clean yourself slowly. i mean watch pron whenever u want. but try to decrease the rate of it. for example if you look at it 3h everyday, make it 3 hours every 2 day. or make it 1.5 h everyday. depends on you. so when u feel ready, decrease it more , more and more. until you got rid of it. i hope u will read this and beat it. i suffered same thing too.

If you value yourself simply for loving yourself, you will have a positive attitude that can be quiet attractive, but only for the right people.

There are people out there, whose literal job is to listen to your worries/concerns/difficulties, and to take you/them seriously.
They're often known as therapists/counsellors. Not intended to be patronising in any way.
There is support out there, if you don't currently have it, and I'm not saying you will have the best support available for you, in your area, but there are options.
You don't have to suffer by yourself, in silence. I think you've probably done enough of that already.
Of course, there are bad therapists/counsellors out there too, let's not pretend there aren't.
However, wouldn't it be worthwhile in looking for one of the good/better ones to help improve your quality of life and help you through this?
I'm massively biased, of course, but my intention is to reach out and just spark a consideration that there is a way out of this, and I don't mean abstinence
(although, if that's what you personally need/find beneficial, then that's your path forward. The path doesn't have to be a rigid, uniform line either, but it's YOUR path, for your life, and no one else can walk it).

Porn addiction is a tough battle, but it's one that you can overcome. It's important to remember that seeking help and support is a brave step forward, and you should be proud of yourself for acknowledging the issue.
Many people turn to porn as a coping mechanism for various underlying reasons. Some common roots of this coping mechanism include stress, loneliness, boredom, low self-esteem, and past trauma. Understanding these triggers can be a crucial part of breaking free from the cycle of addiction.
But remember, recovery is possible. It's about finding healthier ways to cope with difficult emotions and situations, building a support system, and practicing self-compassion along the way. Take it one step at a time, and be gentle with yourself throughout the process.

Take this video as a resource of education in the subject and to be aware of porn addiction but if you just masturbate once a day, everyday with porn, i'm sure that's totally normal. Since you're single and need to release stress.

For me, it's a combination of depression, anxiety, loneliness, unfulfilled sexual needs, and touch starvation. I've been addicted to porn for over 11 years now as a negative coping mechanism following my mom passing away from ironically enough, breast cancer.
I just don't see myself being able to break free until I can find a romantic and sexual partner, which seems unlikely given my piss poor social skills given I'm on the Autism Spectrum and more importantly I'm afraid to put myself out there out of fear of rejection since I assume everyone is out to expose me since everyone feels the need to put others down to feel better about themselves given how miserable everyone is in this world. Most days I wish I didn't feel anything. But whatever, this is just my lot in life. Working hard for pennies so everyone else can live happy, pain-free lives. I envy everyone who is happy and in a relationship. I wish I could be committed to a psych ward, but unfortunately, I can't where I live unless you're actively homicidal or suicidal. Just thought I'd give a bit of input because I've struggled with porn addiction for most of my life. I started watching porn because I couldn't get a girlfriend when I was in high school and really it just followed on from there. Even to this day at 34 I've still never had a girlfriend or wife, I don't really have any family and I was diagnosed with a chronic mental health condition at a young age, people around me have often treated me cruelly which caused emotional damage, so now I pretty much just want to shut myself off from the world and not deal with it anymore. I live a very lonely life and I live in an apartment I have through social housing and I don't work or anything because of the mental health condition. One thing I've definitely realized in life is no one cares about people like me, which basically perpetuates the negative cycle of porn addiction and many other things and I can't see my life ever getting any better. The only reason I'm still alive is because I derive pleasure from the temporary thrill I get out of the things I do on a daily basis which I won't go into detail on. I'm not suicidal but I know one day I will die and it will all be over and I won't have to deal with my shit life anymore.

I'm totally sure the majority of the population in the world are going through this same coping mechanism. Not everyone has a partner. Specially millennials & gen z. Take this video as a resource of education in the subject and to be aware of porn addiction but if you just masturbate once a day, everyday with porn, i'm sure that's totally normal. Since you're single and need to release stress.

I think there's something about porn addiction that almost no one talks about, which is that the more you consume, the more common content becomes boring, and then we look for hardcore and even illegal stuff. I've been through this, and when we're in this dopamine trance, our brain doesn't register what's right and wrong, and after it passes we're like "Why did I watch this?!?!?" But we must remember that this is a mental problem, an addiction, and it does not mean that you are a pedophile or a criminal, especially since people like this seek out this stuff of their own free will and do not feel bad after watching it.

    • @certified9104
      @certified9104 5 месяцев назад

It'd the dopamine receptors basically being fried up and so your brain is less receptive to dopamine so it seeks sexual novelty, and the shame and taboo hooks you onto it. Porn basically desensitises your brain and makes you crave huge dopamine hits from messed up stuff because you need more and more stimulation for a high. Really damaging honestly, there's no positives to it

The addiction aspect is a problem but honestly I don't think watching porn itself is actually that bad if it is used appropriately and is within the individuals control. You can't ignore the fact that our bodies simply have a sex drive biologically. Love and companionship is the driving force of dopamine into our heads and sometimes it just takes longer for people to find a partner.

Sadly, it’s not so much an addiction… rather a moral struggle… I know it’s wrong, I get that feeling of satisfaction… but then I hate myself afterwards… as a Christian, this has proven quite a challenge for me… as well as the fact that I’m constantly wanting a relationship… I need someone to love. People tell me that I need to ask God to help me through things… and that when I accept that Jesus is who I need to be seeking a spiritual relationship with, then that person will come into my life……. But it’s SO damn difficult!!! I’m 22 years old, and I’ve never been in a serious relationship before, never had sex, never had a first kiss, never gone on a date (I was in an online relationship for less than 2 months, so I don’t really count that), and all I want is someone to be with. Someone to love and care for. Someone who I can embrace… it’s not fun….. 😔

You don't have friends you can talk to about your feelings? Just talk to a girl like you'd normally would a guy, without using vulgar words though. Girls are different just like guys are different.
Some won't care if you say the wrong thing and some will. Like look, i'm a girl. Talking to guys is way easier for me, but when I say the wrong thing without even realizing, some guys get mad, don't explain and some even leave me. And even, as a girl, the same happens with girls. Is just how life is.
So just talk normal to girls and if they don't wanna invest in the friendship or even relationship, then don't think anything is wrong with you, they just aren't your people.
If you listen and care to correct your behavior, and talk about your feelings and expect others to correct their behavior too, just because people have a problem not wanting to be told what to do while loving to tell others what to do, doesn't mean there's anything wrong with you. They are in the wrong for being so hypocritical and entitled.
The right people will show up, just be patient. And remember, not all friendships, people, are meant to last forever. That's also a reminder for me because I've lost friends that I could have swore I'd have forever, but they're gone. We aren't on bad terms, we just stop investing in the friendship i guess. Is strange. But it really shows that as much as it may not seem like it, some people just aren't meant to be in your life for much. And I guess, that's okay.

It's not the easiest topic to discuss openly, but still important nonetheless. Like they've discussed, watching too much porn can be a way of escaping from reality or to give yourself a temporary "high"(or good feeling). With porn addiction it may feel like you're going down this dark rabbit hole with no chance of climbing out. However with enough time and effort we ALL can climb out and emerge stronger than before. Remember everyone, WE GOT THIS!

Actually what makes Porn addictive is 1 thing, and that is it ruins your brain Dopamine receptors making them less sensitive, hence rendering regulars life activities dull and boring and only strong stimulants like Porn ends up being effective.

I think if you're generally prone to addiction, porn addiction is always near. When I was like 12 I started watching porn. When I was 13 I started smoking weed and when I was 14 I started doing hard drugs. Was addicted to hard drugs for 10 years(am sober for more than a year now). I binged on uppers for days, especially speed and meth, mixed with many other drugs. My porn addiction really kicked off then... I literally watched porn for like 4 days and nights, before going to sleep for 1 night and then starting over again. I also developed some very fucked up fetishes along the way.
Getting deep in to porn mixed with the drugs and alcohol made me very depraved in my tastes.
I'm off the drugs now, but my fixation with porn still remains. Luckily it's not nearly as bad, as before.
Going to rehab and talking about it in detail with my therapist helped me a lot.
I think there are multiple causes for my porn addiction though..
Anyway.. if you feel it controls your life, seek help. Therapy helped me a lot to accept myself and love myself more, cause I hated myself and wanted to kill myself before. I would definetly recommend Therapy to eyeryone, it really works.
    Anyway much love from germany.
    Peace😊

As long as its not controlling your life why is it so bad? I see so many posts about people trying to quit or bashing it. If you cancel plans with friends to watch it or you have to watch it a certain amount each day/week you have a problem but if its just a background activity in your life I don't see much negative to it, especially if single. To me I see a lot of positives from it too. Too much of anything is bad, if its not controlling your life or altering your view of reality than I don't see much of an issue. I think it depends what kind you watch too, if its super unrealistic fantasy stuff, it may effect you differently than watching more traditional kinds.

I spent a lot of time by myself scrolling. I also kept looking up two girls I kind of liked (not a lot for one of them). I felt bad about it because it felt like stalking but i did it anyways. Therefore, I basically was already in a mindset of looking up whatever I wanted.
I then at some point looked up porn solely out of curiosity, wanting to know what stuff looked like. I felt grossed out and figured I didn’t want to look it up again. But it just needed time to “kick in”, and I eventually realized I genuinely wanted to go back, not out of curiosity. A couple months later I did, and looked up porn a couple days after that as well.
This was a little over a year ago. I feel part of the problem with me escaping is I’ve been trying to quit this whole time. People will say they’ve gotten better since trying to quit, but I’ve only gotten worse. I cannot have gotten better as I tried quitting from the start, and yet here I am. If I got better, it would mean I’d have stopped. Trying a few strategies I think will help, but we’ll see.

Best solution is to not talk about it. Go outside, talk to someone, take a picture, go aesthetic, do whatever you please that could improve your ability like reading books in the bench, bike or jog for stamina, or pretty much don't use a phone or music, just think and do, have sweat and muscles, cook some delicious food, brag it go make a kite and fly it around, Live a little, make yourself a good person by bearing everything and not complain abouf life, be forgetful and forgiving, be understanding, be sorry, have a compassion ITS NOT HARD! and after all this is done will you realize... How stupid you are to spend the rest of your life in a room with nothing but technology.

    • @theintrovertedaspie9095
      @theintrovertedaspie9095 5 месяцев назад +12

Maybe. But in today's fast moving world with hustle culture and inflation and whatnot, lots people are working themselves to death just to afford the basics. Point being, that many young folk dont always have tons of free time. Or at least time we can actually relax----hustle culture. I'd argue that porm addiction would be used as a coping mechanism for all the stresses of evetyday life.

    • @LilJoshua99
      @LilJoshua99 5 месяцев назад +1

Yeah but my main point is, if a person spends a lot of time outdoors (to make money, to have a certificate, skills, talking to friends etc etc) then he comes home tired and still does the dishes, cleaning etc etc. He'll never have time to think of watching porn, surely that person will prefer to sleep than to use the phone. That is the reason why the majority of porn addiction is young.

when someone refers to it as addiction that is a proper description of it
but another descriptor that i personally gravitate towards is "compulsion", something that controlls your impulses ratehr than you having the control.
and a general concensious that ends up typically being more accurate than not- is that it comes about from abstinance, or lack of Indulgance in something else. the turning to vices that gone unregulated make one forget about their core problem.
when it comes to lust its simple to say having sex, or attaining a partner that equates with your enthusiasm or impulses would cure yourself of being reliant on vices that probably do not instill as much pride or self-reassurance.
of course even without a partner immedietly there are still ceremonialized and imaginative means someone can do to get a different fuffilment, even if its still of a quantitativly fictitional nature.
what i have to say wont be relayed or understood by most People, sure but its merely 1 practice that I myself continue to learn of its application and emotional direction, that being every now and then inserting yourself in a story of success (with whatever it may be you desire- a real person, or a sort of demonic counterpart thats equally enticing)
build that enviroment in which you can see just how you actually do behave in the bedroom even if its within a vacume of your imagination. It still serves to build a portfolio
than really the next thing you *really* need is just hte privacy to go about it, and a big enough social pool to have many people to choose from, which yes may seem hard with infrastructure thats barely accomidating for social gatherings, but thats what modern communication is for.
it can be as easy as that! impulsivly meet up with equally impulsive astranged people on say grindr or tinder if you have to and just keep in mind to keep your personal enthusiasm for "the real thing" as equally in line with what really is obtainable.

There are a few ways to address this issue, one of which is to spend time with your friends or family. I'm not sure if women can also be addicted to porn, but the idea of spending time with loved ones is to take your mind off of it. If that doesn't work, then seeking help from a psychologist may be necessary. While it may seem impossible to forget, focusing on activities with others can help. Another option is for parents to take action by grounding the individual. This not only involves taking away their phone but also requires them to spend time outdoors. If those solutions don't work, the fourth and most important way to address the issue is through education. Whether it's school or college, learning is the best distraction. Just like spending time with loved ones, learning can help take your mind off of everything, including porn. It's important to note that porn addiction not only affects behavior but also damages memories in the brain.
If Psych2Go already made a video about how to avoid watching porn then what is this for. Look, I'm not a psychologist, I'm just a 14-year-old kid.
