I’m really enjoying Twilight, on episode 32 now. It’s slice of life and the love story is very slow-burn but also very sweet. The chemistry and relationship between the two leads develops very organically and Allen Ren is the highlight for me, he nails his role and it’s so different from most of his other work.
Sandstorm sounds really interesting, I think I’m most excited for that one, whenever it comes out! Thank you for the video - I always love finding out what’s coming up
Good to see Ding Guansen finally getting a main role in a "proper" drama! I've liked him since Yesterday Once More and have mostly seen him play the comedic relief best friend role, so this will be interesting. With Sun Li too!
I remember his role as Ling Hu Chong in the New Smiling Proud Wanderer 2018 and I'm impressed by his performance. He showed his class especially in expressing his emotion completely. He's a good actor.

fireworks of my heart is love story of fire person and surgeon. Main actress was in challenges at midlife. lots of wildfires as global overheating gets worse every day so maybe it is a timely drama.
divine destiny seems to be xuanhuan drama with some comedy about 2 gods living as mortals. novel title and chinese title seems to mean earthly destiny. Main actor is from Humans and all out of love.
Longest Promise is xuanhuan (magic) drama about love between male teacher and female disciple so maybe it is similar to journey of flower. chinese title seems to mean jade bone from far away. Novel title is zhuyan which is the name of the main female character and it seems to mean vermilion color. Main actor from untamed. In ep 1, main female uses magic (magic duplicate and sand monster) to avoid arranged marriage. Set in same universe as mirror a tale of twin cities.
Finally some dramas that I can look forward to.. May June was quite meh. Though I am watching a few dramas, not quite super excited or eagerly waiting for next episode to air for any of them. Twilight is good drama? I dropped the in first 2mins, even before any person spoke, mostly because the bg sound threw me off. The audio didn't match the video and felt too much out of sync or artificial. I will wait for its first impression video to decide whether I can try watching it again. Anyone watching Exploration Methods of Love?
Your hair is so adorable in this video! On a totally different note, does anyone else just sigh when they hear Angelababy is going to be in a drama? It immediately makes me disinterested in a show, even when I love the other lead. I've tried to watch multiple of her dramas but I just can't get immersed in her acting at all...

Not sure why the media are pushing this view. Most of the HK celebrities were lip syncing e.g. Paula Tsui, Jackie Chan, Nadia Chung, Ray Liu, Angie Chiu, Deric Wan, Simon Yam, Alex To etc. Some who sang live such as Priscilla Chan, Liza Wang, Miriam Yeung, Joey Yung were pretty bad. A few who sang live were great - Hacken Lee, Grasshoppers, Winners. What surprised me was that the only two younger generation singers from HK at the event - Gigi Yim and Mike Tsang chose to lip sync. On mainland side which consisted mainly of relatively younger singers - Zhou Shen was flawless. Jane Zhang, Bibi Zhou, Liu Yuning, Yisa Yu sang live and were great. Jike Junyi sang well but she was let down by Lowell Lo (from HK) who was horrendously out of tune. Hua Chenyu and Chris Lee were pretty bad. Xiao Zhan sang decently. Mainland celebrities that were lip syncing - Wang Yibo, Ayanga (surprisingly), Zhang Ziyi etc. Funnily enough, TVB aired an edited version a few days later. The occasion wasn't meant to be a singing contest as the anniversary theme was to reminisce favorite canto songs from the past. HK singers are now past their prime and can't be expected to sing like they did 40 years ago. With the exception of mainland stars who aren't professional singers, Zhou Shen, Ayunga and Xiao Zhan performed well. Most impressive was the awesome jaw-dropping stage design.
