    Bonjour très belle vidéo de vôtre part sur la sécurité quand on utilise une scie. Et très belle proposition pour fabriquer un guide, pour éviter de se couper les doigts. Merci beaucoup. ❤

    Nice tip ToolScouter! When the pusher is worn on the bottom, could you just cut it off and cut a new stop into it, and keep using it? 🤔 Very good idea as I've seen many a woodworker or carpenters that are missing part of a digit! 😢 👍🇺🇸

      @toolscouter  3 месяца назад

      Thank you and yes, you can cut them off but because you don’t have a parallel straight edge, it makes it kind of difficult to get it really straight. It also shortens it so that the fence can get in the way overtime. For this reason I’d like to just use some scrap plywood and make a new one. I kind a wish I would’ve made these a little taller. Thanks so much for your visit and I hope you have a great week.

    Great discussion Toolscouter and I love your design for the push stick, I’ve got to make one of those. Fingers as booger hooks!-that’s a new one for me.

    My favorite is shaped like a v, like a boomerang. I got the design from the old cabinetmaking and millwork book. It not only has a notch that pushes thru the cut but it has a very long surface pushing down on the board preventing lift and kickback. Simple and effective. It's very easy to use one to rout out another so I have several of them.

      That does sound very efficient. Thanks so much for sharing this with us and I can imagine trying to make one of those and how well it would work. I might have to try it sometime in the future. Thanks so much for sharing and have a great day.

    You could replace the end of the push stick with a solid piece of wood , some glue and a couple of wood dowel pins. Anyway, very good video. Thanks

      If you don’t have a tablesaw than I guess you don’t need a push stick. I do find that they come in handy though. Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a great week.

    Good thing you didn't show that freehand cut or the Safety Police would be hauling you off to Prison about right now.

    I hate those plastic push sticks. I make all my own and I have one very similar to your that is my favorite. Mine does not have the screw but I run a sawstop with the safety technology and it does not like metal stuff

    • @toolscouter
      @toolscouter  3 месяца назад +1

      I don’t like the plastic ones either. Thank you so much for sharing and I have heard those saw stops are good to have and I can understand why they wouldn’t like metal. Always great to have you stop by for a visit and hope you have a great day.

      @ I have accidentally ran a piece of oak I salvaged from an old barn through the saw stop. I missed one broken off nail and the saw stop cut it right in half. It will stop and retract the blade if it senses anything that conducts electricity… like a finger. It was an expensive table saw but I figured it was cheaper than a trip to the ER.

      I can see that happening and understand perfectly. Thanks for sharing.
