Excellent work! You move methodically and with passionate care. Thank you for detailing your process. All good teaching points. That handle was a sweet looking piece of wood. Thank you for sharing. 😃👍
It was a pleasure to work on this restoration, and thanks for the kind words! Always great to share things like this with people who appreciate it. Come by again anytime and have a great weekend.
Thank you. I guess I’ve never been accused of that before. I just like them so much and enjoy cleaning them up. Thanks for your visit and have a great weekend.
Nice mail call. I'm glad you are sharing the importance of chamfering the bottom of the eye so as not to create a shelf and a weak point above the shoulder. Looks like you have the hang of it 😅 I can't wait to see the custom handle.
Thank you. Some people might think it’s a small detail, but I think it’s important to chamfer the eye. Good to hear from somebody who recognizes that. Thanks so much for your visit and hope you have a great weekend.
Hey !Bonjour vraiment du très beau travail, vivement la suite. Très beau cadeau de Robert, et je pense qu'il va êtres content de vous avoir confié ce travail. ❤
You are very kind. Thank you so much for sharing here on the channel. I do feel privileged to be a part of this tool community and I hope you feel free to stop by anytime. Have a great weekend.
Very nice fit and finish. I'm sure Robert will be pleased. Looking forward to seeing the clean up on the other one he sent. The wood he chose for the handle is beautiful. And that Norlund is a great gift to add to your collection. *clink*
I trust Robert will enjoy it as well. I do feel privileged to work on these tools. This is a great community to be a part of. His gift will be greatly appreciated and I’m sure there’ll be a video on it in the future. Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend.
I notice your RUclips name and wonder are you a specialist with knots? About five years ago, I started learning some different knots, and have begun to use them because I really don’t like ratchet straps. Just call me curious.
I'm not an expert. I started making paracord lanyards for my EDC knives and toolbags. I then started making paracord keychains and have actually sold a few so I've been thinking of selling them on-line too. Hence the name. "Curiosity killed the cat, satisfaction brought him back"
Excellent job, thanks for the tutorial, just hung a 3 1/2 lb Craftman axe head on a hickory handle, it took several days just to bring the head back into shape, but it did come out great, the thing is I struggle getting the handle shaped just right to fit the head, always a struggle, but I have yet to lose a head of a handle. Thanks for the video, enjoyed watching.
I am glad you enjoyed the video and I hope you are successful with your next axe handle! As the old adage goes, practice makes perfect. Thanks so much for your kind words and feel free to stop by again soon. Have a great weekend.
@@toolscouter Good question I have a propensity for old Harley Davidson Sportsters to follow me home. I focus on the old motors that had cylinder heads of cast iron, they call the engines Iron Head and therefore Iron Head Rescue or ihrescue.
@@toolscouter I think I was in the general vicinity when @toolscouter was county subscribers in the hundreds. Thanks for asking about the name. The I H is for Iron Head as in Iron (cylinder) Heads on older Harley Davidson Sporters, kind of a sporty tractor on two wheels. Old Sportsters seem to follow me home like a rescue so IHRescue or Iron Head Rescue.

Technically, this is true. From a practical sense most people don’t say it this way. Here’s a video I made and another video ScoutCrafter made on the subject. Hope you enjoy it and have a great day.
