@Graham Baates UPDATE: Gun came in a few days ago and it is breaking in nicely. Slide drops when slamming in a full mag - sweet! Press checks are effortless on a cocked hammer - awesome. Beautiful machining, good ergo, well placed ambi controls - all good. The rounded (seven-sided) slide fits the hand much better than square slides. Slide serrations are the best I have seen. They are deep, thin, and sharp and, even though they do not go high up the slide, they grab skin! Love the trigger. DA is heavy yet smooth rolling and SA breaks very crisply with a clear and dependable wall before the break. Reset is nice and short. Love this gun. Thanks again, Graham.
@@GBGuns They are changing the game, in my opinion. This is what a modern DA/SA should look like. There are others that are great but I think the GP beats them all. The steel-frame, polymer grip with full-length steel rails beats all of the aluminum framed guns for EDC and I'd bet they hold up much better with high round counts.

I CANNOT bring myself to carry "cocked & locked," for the exact reason you quit carrying your GP, Graham.. That said, I absolutely love a *de-cocker!* I got use to having one on the Ruger P-95DC I carried concealed, for years... And, for almost the same era of time [when I needed a smaller, more concealable firearm] I carried a Bersa Thunder .380, for the same reason. There's just a certain level of safety/security that a DA/SA with DC affords a shooter that other makes without them just can't... And when that's combined with the ability to carry one in the chamber because of a well-designed double action, it's the best of all possible worlds, imho. I'm currently carrying a PPS M2-- and while it *is* an exceptional design, it still leaves me missing my DA/SA DC at times... No matter how reliable they are, a striker fired pistol just removes a bit of the control over the gun that a shooter should have... again, imho! Maybe I need to check out these GPs? I've also been considering a Bersa Thunder 9, because it has the same capabilities... Great video! 🖒😎
You know what I’ve noticed about my P220 legion? Flipping the safety on is quite easy, flipping it off takes quite the effort, and I imagine that’s intentional. My P226 has a decocker that requires a DA after it’s been decocked. You must like them; they are not on the Massachusetts approved list, so I’ve never heard of them. Slovakia though? Hmmm, mine are made in America.
I usually appendix carry a Sig p365, and since it’s striker fired I typically take the holster off to re-holster the gun pointing away from my femoral, and then put the whole thing back on my belt. It doesn’t take that long, but I figure speed is much more important drawing the gun than it is when putting it away
Looks like a sweet pistol! But since shooting the BB6 and finding how well I shoot it, its going to be my carry gun till I wear out the 2 I purchased! Great vid keep up the awesome content!
I got one of the GO GP P40 10mm's and it is easily my favorite handgun, even over the CZ Shadow2. Mine is traditional DA/SA only, there is not decocker option and it runs flawlessly smooth with hot 10mm loads that break Delta Elites. It really does help tame the mighty 10mm at full power, with the rotating barrel. It is like shooting a 9mm +P from a race gun.
I fully understand why you are moving on to an upgraded version, due to the Safety Issue. That said, I've carried some Cz75 Style Pistols, manually decocked for a DA first shot, and I've never had an issue. I think that your older Grand Power K100 could still see use, if manually decocked for a DA first shot. Best of Luck with the new GP K100!
Yeah, I'd just de-cock it and leave it in the car-- or, in my case, in one of my hiding spots in the house... It's always good to have quick access to something reliable... *evil grin!
Very interesting and innovative feature of the safety/decocker, I like it, sa cocked and locked, da/sa or dao, what's not to like. I grew up in the era of the Smith's, CZ's and 1911's, I want a safety and still buy striker pistols with a manual safety, been trained for decades to swipe it off. Even being "comfortable" around firearms one can not be to safe or careful. And with appendix carry one can't be to careful when it comes to possibly shooting your little gun with your carry gun. Good video.
I have a CZ P07 in my carry rotation. I love a SA DA gun for the extra safety. That being said I aslo carry a Glock 19. I believe a good holster is paramount in a striker fire gun. I am really interested in the Grand Power handguns. I just can not find any around my area. Keep up the good work...
I too am a double-action only fanatic for carry! I LOVE Kahr, all of them. I LOVE my Sccy CPX2 also. Have you tried a recent production Sccy? It is an amazingly smooth and light double-action only trigger. I was shocked...............................elsullo
What’s the trigger pull weight in DA mode? Most hammer fired DA/SAs have really heavy DA pull weights in the 12-14lb range (like my Bersa Thunder 9 Pro) which makes it difficult to train with in DA mode because it gets to hard to press after a while. I also have a SIG p250 which DAO with about a 7lb pull weight, which is easier to practice with but without the flexibility/options of a DA/SA like the Grand Power... Thoughts?
I don't pay attention to measured weight as smoothness makes a bigger difference for me. It's likely in the 10-12lbs range, but smooth. See our second video for more on that. My older K100 is a safety-only model meant to be carried cocked and locked but has DA as a backup if need be.
Not sure if someone else already pointed out but I dont think u need to pull down the takedown lever/pin to re assemble the pistol. I could go with or without the decocker but it is an great option to have especially like u said for training the DA. I really like the serrations on the new safety switch. Probably would have chosen that if it was an option when I got my x-cal.
I am a fan of basic holsters that easily come off so I can take off my gun and holster together so I don't expose the trigger unless at the range or at my clearing bucket
I like it of course, its a DA/SA decock hammer fired. It does suffer the same problem that my old Astra A-100 carry did. Its a big honking pistol to try and conceal. It can be done but it does show a whole lot more than sub compacts and micro compacts. I would like to see more affordable sub and micro compacts in DA/SA decock hammer fired. I would pay a little more to get the hammer and better trigger. I do agree with you though. I am the same way. That is why my Bersa TPR9C is my main carry pistol but I do have striker fired also. Size may make the difference though for those of us of smaller statue. So I may at times compromise as much as I hate to do that. Thanks for sharing. Hope it serves you well.
Pretty cool gun. Had never heard of the brand until I saw your video. Gonna look into it some more. Sootch00 did some reviews on them and he really liked them as well. Their no advertised much and don't do the "buy four get one free" deals the big brands do through distributors. You pretty much have to order one.
Is the BP9cc still in your rotation?
When I need a slim single stack, yes.
I'm new to your channel so sorry if you answered this previously but I was just curious how you carry it and what it's comparable to in size.
Welcome! Size wise just check the specs, longer barrel than most 15-rounders.
@@GBGuns Much appreciated, I like how you focus on guns that aren't as mainstream.
Wow ... that's a really nice one .....
nice gun,beautifull.👍
Were is the best place to get a ccw holster for the GP pistols?
Crossbreed
Review Sig Sauer NGSW & General Dynamics NGSW, IWI CARMEL
All that.. and Megadeth!
Cost..?......
Looks like the de-cock doesn't snap back up where it is suppose to be. Does it fire like that?
It's not designed to snap back. If you leave it down the gun runs in DAO. Bring it back to neutral and it's DA first, SA subsequent. Lever up for manual safety.
@@GBGuns That's interesting. Thought it was broken there.
Hi Graham
I miss your demonstrations of Zastava
Unfortunately I wish no affiliation with the current US importer. When they change I may resume Zastava videos. Until then you'll have to go with their cronies.
how much
It's funny you made this video today. I just switched from a CZ p10C to a CZ P-07 because I just don't trust a single action striker-fired pistol.
ARE YOU SURE your wife believed THAT story?? i, however do. tell her i believe you! sweet! nice gun.
First comment second view yeah yeah . Love the channel man keep up the good videos 👌
Get Glock and just pull the trigger when ya want it to go bang! Easy peasy
And which Glock model has double action/single action with de-cocker? Cause, I'm there!
Lol! 😂
Use light, we can't see.
Not we....you.
Грэм, когда будет обзор Стечкина 😉
Шутка.
Грэнд качественный ствол, Словаки знают толк в огнестреле. Респект и Уважуха.
Удачи Грэм
Thanks for the video
Kinda like the old Browning BDMR
What happens if your expecting DA/SA and you get DA/DA???? Not a fan of both, ONE OR THE OTHER!! IMHO😁👍
Then keep your thumb off the lever
👀👀👀
i was hoping it was a revolver😳🤣✌👍😎
