    Nice looking piece. I own a Cz PO 7 Duty. Very close in form and function. Gave $400 for it with the new Omega Trigger pack. Slightly Smaller Package with more capacity in the magazine. Your review brings some good points out to consumers looking for quality with price. Thanks and God Bless

    Grand power pistols are great guns. Glad people are catching on to them! I just pick up the competition varrient of the K100, called the X-Caliber, a few weeks ago! Haven't had the time to run enough ammo through it buy so far it's been excellent. If you like the K100 mk7 then you need to try out the newer mk12 framed variants. They've made a few nice improvements to the frame to get a higher grip on it.

    construction of the slide catch on Grand Power pistols, that allows to light slide when the magazine is sharply loaded in, is constructed and designed purposely! It is a great feature, seems like automatic and quick-ready slide'n'load action. This feature needs of course to be user-practiced.

    Thank you for a nice review. Good job on bringing light to one of less popular manufactures.There is so many great handguns out there these days. That is pretty hard to make a claim on what is the best. I personally like striker fire design. Companies like HK produce very nice barrels that are suppose to be more accurate, hoverer their accuracy produces diminishing marginal returns. Where you can see accuracy difference between lets say block and hk only with match ammo at high range.

    I love SA/DA steel chassis pistols and I always wanted a more european style pistol. Im also very interested in how that rotating barrel holds up over time. Be sure to make update vids a couple months down the road! Til then I'll stick with my beloved p226. And drool over the new strike one

    The slide stop problem you are having can probably be resolved through deep cleaning. The gun comes with a cosmoline-like substance all over the inside of it which is probably gumming up the slide stop and magazine. Try oiling it real good and wiping out the cosmoline as best you can. It worked for me.

  • @bav13
    @bav13 9 лет назад

    I recently bought a SAR B6P compact for around $250 (imported by EAA), very similar to this Grand Power handgun. I like it a lot, it's a cz75 compact clone, so it will also take certain cz mags. Metal slide, poly frame, 600+ rounds at the range with no issues at all. It's made in turkey though. It seems like there are a lot of awesome guns for cheap because they're not well known, you just have to look.

      dan moyer Glocks are indeed awesome, I think my apprehension goes back to the early 90s when every homie big-G, foo-dog rap-lord on the block parroted Hollywood's praises of the sideways held Glock based purely on style and image... Of course that doesn't negate the amazing performance of the old G17s, but I admit having a subconscious disgruntled attitude towards the stupid rap-props ever since... wood and steel, baby - or I suppose a steel reinforced Polymer framed P1, if I must partake of the coolaid ;-)

      TiborasaurusRex However, the Glock 10mm is the choice of my spirit-uncle Ted Nugent, who is THE antithesis of the oversized-sweatpants-gansta' - so maybe I need to change my attitude a bit.

    I have its bigger brother K100 (should be available in the US as STI GP6) with newer Mk12 frame. It is 100 % reliable, never failed me. Rotating barrel is nice. Price is really good too. The only downside is that there are not aftermarket parts for this gun. Especially sights.

    Great video! It's extremely difficult to find Grand Power videos that are in English. I've seen maybe 5, one of them being a video of the P11 Mk12 that sootch00. I've the P11 Mk12, the sub-compact version of the K100. I'd carry it if I could find a mag (may have to have an IWB holster custom-made). GP makes great guns!

      The best prices were from Bud's & Cheaper Than Dirt on these Mk7 pistols. (I got my K100 from CTD for $365.) They've both sold out. The Mk12 P1 & K100 are available now, but are over $500.
      J&G sales had magazines for $19.95, but have also sold out. Mags are now available elsewhere for $43 each. They are very nice, very slickly functioning mags, made in Italy. The P1 and K100 use the same mags.

    • @Wedelj
      @Wedelj 9 лет назад +1

      +tsmgguy Don't buy from CTD. They are the most price gouging company in the industry and a lot of us have sworn off of them for good. The day after Sandy Hook they removed semi auto rifles from their store and started charging $1.00 a round for 5.56 (did it again with green tips when that happened) and $100 for Pmags.

  • @tsmgguy
    @tsmgguy 9 лет назад

    Nice review, thanks! I agree, these are very slick pistols, well worth the money.
    Might be worth mentioning that the frames are identical on the P1 and K100. Only the barrels and slides differ.
    The slide closes when a loaded magazine is forcefully inserted. This is a design feature of the pistol. This way, the shooter doesn't need to actuate the slide lock after reloading.
    If the barrel is not marked with the weapon's serial number on the flat visible in the ejection port, it's a barrel replaced under the recent barrel recall for P1s and K100s. Barrels were serial numbered by the factory; barrels replaced by Century arms under the recall are not serialed:
