I won't lie, I'm very curious about the MK23. I thought I was pretty much over polymer grips but these Grand Powers are intriguing. Looking forward to your side by side vids.
That's the quickest I've seen you reassemble one of these. A couple of your vids had me laughing watching the struggle. 😂 If I buy one I will use my belly, as you recommend.
That's because in my tabletop videos I'm looking forward at a camera pointed down and have my arms stretched a couple feet in front of me through a tripod.
@@gbgunsmedia Definitely a welcome change, the lack of optic readyness was probably the biggest reason holding me back from getting one ...though i'm still waiting for them to do an all-steel x-calibur, i'd get one of those ASAP if they ever made them
@@gbgunsmedia hmm, i suppose filling the empty space with lead would increase weight If GP were more popular i'm sure brass grip panels/backstraps/inserts would have been available to increase the weight similar to what canik and walther have gotten from companies like LOK-grips But i just like the fit and feel of all-steel guns, especially premium ones that get some extra attention to fit and finish
Yes, they made that swap a few years ago, but I believe they've ditched it and gone back to stainless for the Mk23s. The black barrel finish is better than nothing, but will wear.

They went to the older STI hammer that everyone has been asking for!!!!!
They need to bring back the Scalloped mk12 hammer that was offered on some X-calibur mk7.

They both look awesome. Thanks for the video.

@gbgunsmedia ya I get it. Just found it humorous. Thx.
I can not wait to see the comparison at the range.
My trigger finger is itching to race Mk12 vs Mk23 vs Mk23 Match
Didn’t realize the Xcal was refreshed in non match trim
The whole line is going Mk23 and most also going CO

Why not just fill the grip pannel with fishing weights? There's plenty of space.

I had seen tungsten paste being used in that rear most cavity.
I was with Jaroslav 2 months ago. They wouldn't really let me shoot video this time. But I did get to shoot something new , something hush, hush :)😅
I bet I know what it is!
Looks like you have the large grip heel on your Mk. 12?
Hi, do you know if the P1S Mk23 is available in the states? Hard to find in info on these?
I do not, unfortunately the importer doesn't keep my up to date on these things.
Does any one of those guns have a decocker?
Good morning sir is it available in India I want to purchase
I have no idea.
HEH
👍
What's the length of the barrels?
4.8"
@@BurntOrangeHorn78 THANKS!!
I need one
Really hope they bring in Mk23 versions of the less popular pistols like the LP380 and the P45L/P40L.
And HOPEFULLY a .40 version, not just 10mm.
Me too
Would be amazing if they mangage to get a rotating lock work with the 380. The LP380 would be shoot like 22lr then.
👍👍😊😊😁😁
Although I did grab a MK12, unfortunately all the MK12's have the black barrel now.
