Ranchi metro is also proposed
Hoping Chandigarh (+Mohali+Panchkula) metro can be revived
UP has the greatest share of Metro Projects in India both existing and planned. Any news about Bhuneshwar and Goa Metro?
Kolkata metro is first metro in India... But it's design routes not upgraded till now 😑😑😑😑... This is our WB state

What about new HSR routes or projects similar to RRTS in different states?
It's one year now
Patna Metro will hopefully start from next year 🥰😇
North East part of India ? They have to foucus there also
Uttar Pradesh has most ⚡🔥
But let us know how profitable are metro projects across India. Some say that Metros are actually costly & loss making projects! Please give us more clarity on this
Public transport should not be viewed through a lens of profitability. As the veins of a city, they should exist no matter the cost.
Pollution decreases, ease of living increases, crude oil dependency decreases...it's profitable....
As far as I remewber according to past dasta, apart from Delhi and kochi, rest are running in losses. But that should not the views negatively as with metro systems until the entire network becomes big enough very less no of people travel after it reaches certain length then travellers increases exponentially.
Kyu ki ye public transport hai (metro, train, bullet train) inka maksad frofit banana nahi hota
Ye logo ke transport ke liye chalaye jate hai
Example- shanghai maglev always loss me rahti hai par fir bhi sarkar us ko band nahi karti
All metros in India run in losses bear by govt.... They don't generate any profit... It's all losses
In South Asia we have the best metro 💪🏼
Yar Patna Metro kab start hoga?
You missed meerut metro, jo ki delhi meerut RRTS k sath under construction hai, & 1 additional line bhi propossed hai, on RRTS route wwithin meerut district 8 station sirf metro ko dedicated hai aur 4 station metro&RRTS dono k liye hai, sirf meerut se baahr k 11RRTS stations par metro nhi jaygi
Maharashtra have 3 metro cities 🔥. 2 are under-constructed.
jese political stability h vo under construction hi rhega😂😂

No metro for varanasi in near future
Modern transport into a holy city might not be fitting. But i think tram will work
Varanasi don't have space for metro

In tirupati already metro works started u didn't even mention🤔
To be completely honest only 9 urban areas in India need metro rail transit.
1. Mumbai Metropolitan Region
2. Delhi NCR
3. Bengaluru
4. Kolkata - Haora
5. Hyderabad - Secunderabad
6. Chennai
7. Ahmedabad - Gandhinagar
8. Pune - Pimpri Chinchwad
9. Surat
Full focus should have been on completing corridors in these urban areas first.
All other cities could have planned for Metro Neo just like what Maharashtra Govt. is planning for Nashik and Aurangabad cities.
You cannot be more wrong.
In Europe, a lot of cities having lesser population/area, have functioning metro or similar systems.
Why this cannot be true for Bharat?
@@aniketanshumali393 Their overall population is low and the cities you mentioned are either their capital, prime city or amongst top 5 cities. It's not about only population in our country infrastructure projects are not planned properly. Why waste time and money building metro rails in tier 2 or 3 cities when even the metropolitan regions have been left behind their time.
Why does Vasanasi, Prayagraj or Agra need a metro rail when they are barely able to execute city bus services. Plus Indians in Tier 2 and 3 cities are used to commute with private vehicles tier 2 and 3 cities dont have traffic problems in almost 20 to 30 mins max you can reach your destination. Why will anyone use metro rail. Why spend thousands of crores on such projects.
@@ketan06 This logic of Bus systems was given to cancel Delhi metro in early 2000s too
@@sagittario5543 This does not mean build metro rails in every other city. Except Delhi NCR, none of the Indian city has a metro rail that is catering it fully even though we've been building these metro rails for years.
@@ketan06 It is a time taking process that takes decades to complete

Trivandrum Metro(Kerala)is also proposed😊
Indian cities and railway stations/metros are functional at best but not at all beautiful, just blocks of concrete and steel pillars for shed, they had this opportunity to build something beautiful/creative/artistic along with keeping its primary function of public transportation like they did with int'l airport, hopefully we one up ourselves the next time! 👌🏼
Indeed 🥺
Some of the Delhi Metro's Stations are really beautiful and showcase art, example Huaz Khas.
Metros are still beautiful
What about local trains and their stations ?
They need more attentions
@@aps_in True that. Not sure about locals though, Indian Railways infra needs betterment.
our indian metros are much better than most countries transit out there, surely better than UK's
