This band is one of my favorite all time. Been listening to them since 1987 and saw 'em my first time Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1989. I was a junior in high school. Then saw them in Lubbock, TX in 1993. Slayer headlined the tour " Clash of the Titans" Megadeth, Anthrax, and Alice In Chains.
I started seeing them in '88, only cause of my age and my mom would not let me go to a concert until then, but I can see that you are a huge fan like me and wish that they wouldn't have retired yet. But I love SLAYER so much, that I have their logo tattooed ony right arm....damn I miss FUCKING SLAYER!!!!!!
Pure rage and violence... 🤘🤘 One of Slayer's most recognizable songs. This is exactly what fans of this type of music expect from their idols. As an old metalhead, I used to expect this too.
The reference to Back to the Future when Marty was in front of the huge speaker and was blown back! Epic stuff ! And yes that's exactly what you experience at a Slayer concert! And Dave Lombardo is absolutely the fastest double bass player ever! And he was doing it back in the early 80s.. Paved the road for the future of the metal drummers!
Slayer is badass!!! Lombardo is insane on drums. One of the bands I regret never seeing live!!!! BTW I remember the Scene from B2TF you were talking bout I loved those movies back in the day!
I bought a Marshall half stack off Facebook Marketplace with a Crate amplifier for $300 recently. They are in mint condition. I can check off that item from my bucket list now.
SLAYER!!! Last show of theirs I saw in that breakdown, grooving riff part me and like 5 people I didn't even know all put our arms around each other and forget headbanged we full body banged in time to the music.
Lol, and this is arguably the most "tame" live version of this out there. But, it still separates your face from your skull. And, you can really hear the Punk flavor in this, and why most Thrash/Speed Metal bands were/are into Punk Rock. But, DAMN I miss this stuff in American Metal...it's all over the place nowadays.
Awesome! I had the great pleasure of seeing Slayer at Download 2007 and Suicidal Tendencies with Dave Lombardo at Bloodstock 2018, mind blowing on both occasions!!
Seen this band twice in '04 and '06 and the second time was the closest I got to dying at a concert. You had to be in shape or battle-hardened when you went to a Slayer gig, their fans are brutal. No safe place, mosh pits forming everywhere. And of course, the band killed it both times. Slipknot could not follow them in '04, the crowd was totally exhausted!
In my youth when I "played" the drums I told me buddy (who played guitar) I'd like to learn this. We gave it a listen and he looked at me and said, "What do you really want to learn?"
I was at this concert. Ive never heard sound like it. After seing the Marshall stacks I prepared myself for death. Satan was rumbling in the depths of hell that day.
Awesome 👍!! One of my favorite bands dating back to 1987, first time I heard them, then saw them in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1989 on the " South of Heaven" album. Keep Kracken Wolf Hunter's!! You guys R Dope!!
I conda dated KELLY KING when they were starting out, but my dad didn't think he was worth anything , but I cared alot about him .much love to you and your family 💕Brandi Modrak 💕♥.
I remember when I bought the Slayer, Reign in Blood tape in like 88 or something as a young metelhead teenager and the salesman needed to confirm I actually wanted that and wasn't making a mistake or something.
Slayer makes the dude look like he's about to be in a car accident :D If you can dissect their music and see what Slayer has put together, how could you not say that they were musical geniuses in every facet of their music?
Dave Lombardo is king of the double bass. Arguably the best drummer in the world right now. Love him playing with Suicidal Tendencies song War Inside My Head please check it out
I bought this album when it came out and I actually had the police show up at my house because the neighbors couldn't handle it and they actually called the cops on me. My band had the Pleasure to open up for slayer on their first album tour. Are you blown away or what!?
As far as the cabinets, the bottom row are the only active ones, the top two rows are dummy cabs. For two reasons, one, the sound is not only being pumped directly to the audience but it also keeps the output away from the performers. Almost no live band will purposely have a row of active cabs inline with their heads... The reason for that, it would cancel out their monitors, which is what they are paying attention to
Just being the drummer for Slayer, is an unbeatable position on itself. Dave Lombardo is a hardhitting legend thats almost impossible to replace. But don’t forget the guitarists, they are insanely good too. The raw speed, prescision are insanely good. If Dave Lombardo is the battery, Jeff and Kerry are the engines, they are complete with Tom Arayas vocal, l just can’t imagine any other voice that completes the band so well. Lately l learned that the music was maybe too fast for Tom’s bass skills. Don’t know if its true but l read that Kerry King played the bass in studio recording. Anyway, they’re all legends and they have produced some of the very best speed and trash hits ever, and ‘Angel of death’ might very well be the best one of them all. RIP Jeff Hannemann
Hell yeah!!.. I been waiting for this one. Dave Lombardo may not be the best drummer all time but IMO he is most definitely the best drummer alive currently. I can't think of anyone who can play better than him currently
Dave Lombardo, one of best metal drummers ever!
Agree !!!
look at Kai Hahto and then you will see the best metal drummer ever
@@Martee234 "one of the best"
The best for me! Way above Lars and else
The Slayer we all know. The original lineup Araya, King, Hanneman and Lombardo (double bass master)
Seen Slayer in '85, '86, '88, '90, '91 three times, '94 twice, 2008, 2010, 2015, 2018, they never disappoint.
My first was in Cash of the Titans.
@@randycomerford2038 I miss them too, brother. Greatest shows ever right til the end. There's no replacement for f*ckn' SLAYER!!!
Lucky dude! (I'm typing extra loud because I'm sure your hearing has deteriorated.)
When I was 11..my mum and dad bought me this album..not knowing anything..bless their hearts.
Un clásico de Slayer!!!
Grande Tom Araya!!!
🇨🇱🇨🇱♥️♥️🇨🇱🇨🇱
It's sad to say there will never be a band quite like this, and that is awesome
For a simple fact they already retired.
Pure rage and violence... 🤘🤘 One of Slayer's most recognizable songs.
This is exactly what fans of this type of music expect from their idols. As an old metalhead, I used to expect this too.
Slayer is absolutely the badass band ever! 🔥
Dave Lombardo, Kerry King, Tom Araya, and Jeff Hanneman is the biggest my influence 🙏 R.I.P Jeff Hanneman
Slayer pit was soooo fun , every time even though I was bleeding 😂😂
RIP Jeff
The absolute best live video of this song. R.I.P. Jeff😋😛😜🤪😝
I saw slayer first time in'85 , the hell awaits tour. I was never the same again after the show. Saw them 5 times and they are the best. No 1
I would guarantee every speaker is on. I've seen them live and the sound hits you. You can feel it in your bones.
No way dude, they'd all be deaf by the third show of this tour.
Look at the mic placement.
Well yeah, this is Dave Lombardo…arguably the best Metal Drummer ever!!!!
Lombardo is god! He plays with Suicidal Tendencies now and played on my fave Testament record ‘The Gathering’. Both well worth checking out 🤘
they are all on. you can be a distance away from stage and you feel the music.
Dave Lombardo!!!!! God of Drums
There's metal.. and there's Slayer.. they're their own genre. Still so epic and legendary.
Love you crazy guys!
I saw them on this tour. As tight as hell and blew me away!!
And one of the best Songs ever 😁
To see Tom smiling while playing this song is amazing.
"Always wondered what kind of speakers they use"!!! Love that question dude! You guys always ROCK!
The best! Nothing beats this.
Always loved just how chaotic the end of this song gets 😂🤘🏻
The best! Greetings from chile ♡
the end is so awesome, the guitars and drums made it seem like it was raining blood
Tom Araya proud of his country with the Chilean national team shirt 🤘🏻🇨🇱🤘🏻🇨🇱🤘🏻🇨🇱
Slayer is badass!!! Lombardo is insane on drums. One of the bands I regret never seeing live!!!! BTW I remember the Scene from B2TF you were talking bout I loved those movies back in the day!
I see them in May 1987, in Reign in Blood Tour in Italy...the best insane night in my whole life! ♥️
Maybe one of the heaviest riff in the world if not THE heaviest one, that intro slayed everyone.
I was there, fantastic!
Slayer!!! One of my favorite bands all time. Also in concert. Since 1987 since I have been listening to them
Grew up listening to this. as badass now as it ever was.
If they switched all those Marshall cabs on, all the lights in every town in 100 mile radius would go out.
I fucklng cried because i seen these guys for the first and last time on their Ralegh NC stop of the Final command tour and they tore shit up
Met Slayer 4 times in 30 years ! They are just great guys!
Que exelente se ve la camiseta de Chile
F**CKIN SLAAAAYEEEER!! They retired way too soon! We need a comeback!! 🤞
I know man if they ever do a tour in the US I’m definitely going
It's over not with Jeff in it no one can replace him God Bless his soul 🙏
I bought a Marshall half stack off Facebook Marketplace with a Crate amplifier for $300 recently. They are in mint condition. I can check off that item from my bucket list now.
SLAYER!!!
Last show of theirs I saw in that breakdown, grooving riff part me and like 5 people I didn't even know all put our arms around each other and forget headbanged we full body banged in time to the music.
LOVE SLAYER!!!! LOVE YOU GUYS AS WELL..

I have played drums for 30 years but Mr Lombardo kick my ass any day in the week.
Ohh the big four @Sofia, Belgium. I remember I saw the stream live! 🔥🔥🤘🏻
La mejor banda de
Thrash Metal de todos los tiempos! SLAYER 🤘😍🍺
Satan was rumbling in the depths of hell that day.
thank u for that, with hanneman on stage. the greatest band of the world for me.
This is the best formation of Slayer!!!!!!!! So Dope!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dave Lombardo is SICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great sounds great music great concert live is always the best
Love you guys. Great video, keep it up. Coming to you from long island.
Really is funny how Tom Araya is a happy go lucky dude in real life.
Awesome 👍!! One of my favorite bands dating back to 1987, first time I heard them, then saw them in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1989 on the " South of Heaven" album. Keep Kracken Wolf Hunter's!! You guys R Dope!!
Jesse we have to watch slayer
this is why they're part of the BIG 4
Am so fucking luck to grow up along slayer since 82,and more so having my sons and daughter's experience them as well..!!
Watch still reigning that is the best live gig ever
Hanneman used modded G12 Celestion speakers in his live rig.
Most of those cabs are empty boxes.
The first ever Big 4 show in Sofia, Bulgaria!!! My City, My Country! R.I.P. Jeff Hanneman! Tnx
That IS an impressive wall of Marshall cabs. I'm sure they're all cranked.
The perfect metal song.
Nothing like them 💪💪💪🔥🔥🔥🔥
I was there! Sweet and bloody memories :)
Tom Araya is the most wholesome frontman in metal history.
2:56 Travis was being ironic LOL
I conda dated KELLY KING when they were starting out, but my dad didn't think he was worth anything , but I cared alot about him

Uma das maiores bandas de todos os tempos sem dúvida nenhuma.
I remember when I bought the Slayer, Reign in Blood tape in like 88 or something as a young metelhead teenager and the salesman needed to confirm I actually wanted that and wasn't making a mistake or something.
The note is DING Sharp
After I listen to Reign in Blood, I actually have to rest. That album is a fucking onslaught!
peaaaazo de tema, slu2 de chile , ✌️🇨🇱
Slayer makes the dude look like he's about to be in a car accident :D If you can dissect their music and see what Slayer has put together, how could you not say that they were musical geniuses in every facet of their music?
I think that the blue bell note is A :-) Nice reaction, as always, thank you, greetings from France :-)
Nothing else comes close 🤘
RIP Jeff Hanneman

Umas das melhores bandas ao vivo de todos os tempos, Metallica, Iron, Sepultura, bandas que ao vivo são sensacionais.
the marshall stack is a legendary piece of metal, the wall of death
Dave L. Was a jazz fusion drummer which is how he invented that specific Lombardo sound
Big 4 Sofia Bulgaria . I was here !!!
Tom Araya es 100 % chileno .. !!

OH MY! You don't know SLAYER? KIDS! SLAYER, TESTAMENT, DEATH ANGEL, ANTHRAX!!!!!!!! Get to know them all. They are your Grandparents you never met!
That' note is an A or La..Slayer's awesome live...RIP to Jeff
Lombardo is a ruthless and a human drum machine.
God
The Godfather of double bass
Just being the drummer for Slayer, is an unbeatable position on itself.
Dave Lombardo is a hardhitting legend thats almost impossible to replace.
But don’t forget the guitarists, they are insanely good too. The raw speed, prescision are insanely good.
If Dave Lombardo is the battery, Jeff and Kerry are the engines, they are complete with Tom Arayas vocal, l just can’t imagine any other voice that completes the band so well.

The note that bell rang out was an ''A''
Hell yeah!!.. I been waiting for this one.
Dave Lombardo may not be the best drummer all time but IMO he is most definitely the best drummer alive currently. I can't think of anyone who can play better than him currently
Yep. You have just witnessed the god Dave Lombardo.
Lmao... she said that's bananas LOL
My man Dave Lombardo on drums. He's among the best in the world. He now plays with Suicidal Tendencies.
Good old thrash metal 🔥🤘💪
Btw we don’t address them as lead singer and drummer…. They are the Gods
All metal listeners in my country Finland knows this song. I dont believe that this one is new to you guys.
You need to watch the Dave Lombardo drum cam from the Big 4 show at Yankee stadium. War Ensemble is my personal fav.
Dave Lombardo mantab wes pokok'e. From Indonesia metal
Most of the Marshall cabs are hollow and without speakers, it's all just for looks. Except the ones that have microphones in front of them.
